You don't need to have the light bar active. You can just drive around normally, and you'll still get the message. Then the chase is on. And you can turn your lights and sirens on!

When I'm bored in BeamNG, I love to spawn some cars (like 4-6 more), remove their brakes, set them as traffic, go into another car and set the AI to chase me. They will keep respawning like traffic cars, they will imediatelly try to chase my car once they spawn, but they usually make some epic crashes for having no brakes.
Wow, I will try it right now. A couple more ideas: sometimes I drive a car with no brakes trying to avoid crashes, or drive downhill with no engine
I spent an hour last night trying to fit a Miata in the bed of a Gavril Type-D with an extended bed. It almost fit, it was too long though

Imagine combination of games like Forza Horizon 5 (with huge car list), Assetto Corsa, BeamNG and car mechanic simulator in one big game. I know it seems impossible now. In the past we didn't think games would look that awesome as they look today. Technology will get there. I just hope i'm gonna be alive to witness that. I imagine that game to have it's own economy system (like EVE online). Slowed down progression. That way you can bond with one car instead of owning 50+ cars like in forza (no satisfaction, bored easily). You can have multiple cars but in the game is some king of grinding system and it would be very hard to own multiple cars. Maybe later in game progression. Car mechanic shops own by players. Players can own part shops (engine parts, body kits, wheels, steering wheels etc...) You can also buy parts online and work on your own car in your garage. Maybe put purchasing mechanical tools for repairing or building cars. Customization has to be unprecedented (every detail possible). Music customization. (Like NFS Underground) RPG elements (like no pixel server in GTA 5). City doesn't have to be huge, rather packed with a lot of content. Car meets where you can get out of the car and exemine other people's car engines, body work and interiors. Not the mention a good story. I don't understand why racing games should not have great stories, i don't know, like GTA 5 or RDR2 just because it's a racing game. Put some „surviving“ elements like gas and car maintenance (oil change, car wash etc...) Implement some kind of gambling system. Let's say you wanna race with another person. Both of you can place a bet (amount). So you can race for money or car (pink slips). Implement social network system (like GTA 5 RP) for posting pictures of progress of your car when you working in your garage or for car meets. Build your network of people. Car clubs - You decide what are the terms for getting in your car club. There would be some kind of club wars to see witch club is the best in the city. That way you can build reputation (live online with other players). Put way more barn finds and junk jards where you can find some rare gems. Car detailing. Show contest, as well music, style and tuning contest. Each server can represent one continent with up to 150 players or more (3 servers - USA, Europe, Asia) In, for example, USA server you can se more muscle cars. In Europe more BMW's, Audi, Volvo etc. You can travel between servers and we need somehow blend that transition with some kind of animation. For example, if the server is full, AI worker won't let you pass the border. On the start of the game where player can't afford they own house yet, we provide public garages. Avatars must be fully customizable (clothes, accessories etc...) Houses can be customizable (like Hogwards Legacy) If players don't have enough money to race among each other, put some all time available races so players can grind money. Playes can own car wash house. Players can own towing car companies. Players can own delivery businesses (for car parts, tires, wheels etc...) Players can own taxi business. Players can own paint shops (store and workshop) All bussinesses can have social media page or internet page. Open communication all the time. Besides car meet places, put some restaurants where players can gather, eat and socialize (players can own those restaurants). Restaurants can be cusomizable to in some racing fashion.
I hope that’s what the career mode turns out!
Even after playing it since 2013~ i still can find something to do in this game. Mods in this game are amazing.

Love this. Yeah BeamNG is close to being every driving game in one, plus so things none of them have done well before, like demo derby, chases, rough racing and other pursuits that put a premium on damage model.

If you have a police lightbar on your car, you can just drive around and you will eventually get a message that a suspect is fleeing from you. Makes it easier to watch traffic as it passes by you!

This game is some UI changes away from being a very accessible very high quality racing game. Everything is there, all they need to do is make it easy to know that everything is there.
Well Automation is a separate game kind of😂 but overall nice tutorial i didn't know beam ng had all these features!

I didn't know you could spawn traffic! I'll have to look into this and see if you can make it only spawn certain vehicle types. I've been using script AI to path cars individually to use while making my own beam movies
@Sol4rOnYt lol yeah idk. Just so much going on in that game it went unnoticed. This traffic didn't turn out to be helpful anyways at least. Still need the clunky, dysfunctional script ai. But hey all frustrations aside still a lot of fun

I had no clue that beam had a track builder, that’s cool
My favourite activity is to first set a hotlap around west coast USA track for AI to follow. I start recording in the corner near the start of the dragstrip, a few meters before the long straight. After the hotlap is recorded, I then spawn about 4 equal (race)cars or open wheel cars in a row on the short straight just before that corner (after the chicane), i leave a gap and then spawn 2 additional cars in the chicane. I set my own reset point close to the first car so that it is easy to keep up. I then pause the game, respawn myself, press 'start AI' and start recording replay. The AI starts to race around the circuit, starting on the long straight, I make sure that i roughly keep up allongside the first car. Then, when the slight uphil corner to the left arrives on about 2/3rd of the straight, i smash my car in the side of the first car to make him fly into the tire wall. Most of the times we both end up in the tire wall and slow down to an almost complete stop with massive damage. However, the other cars are only a second behind us and slam into us with 200+ kmh. This causes certain cars to break into two. It ends up with cars flying, rolling, smashing the wall. Basically complete mayhem. To finish it off, about 5 seconds later, the 2 cars that i spawned in the chicane reach the crime scene and smash into any remaining cars or debris. After that i stop the replay and rewatch it for each car to see it happen from all perspectives. Also to take my time to assert the damage to each car and the "chance of survival". Why this specific part of the track? 1. It is high speed (200+ kmh) 2. it has the bouncy tirewall 3. the track is narrow so debris and wrecks remains (mostly) on track. 4. its a racetrack, so it really looks like a racing accident, especially when the debris is on top of the hill and oncoming cars cannot "see" it when approaching.

I recommend getting a cop car in beammp and modifying it. Absolute insane. The people you chase are most of the times absolute animals. Pretty fun
If you have police traffic too along while your a police car, they won't chase you and they'll help you apprehend the suspect. Just a tip for fun police chase enjoyers

here is an idea for the next part of things to do when your bored in beamng: drive in negative gravity, (so basically just go to gridmap v2 or any other map that has good ceilings and change the gravity to negative earth, and go to world editor to flip the car so you can drive upside down.)
camera path one is hella fun
i have found a Glitch ingame where you let spawn Traffic and bind different cars on different spots on the map with 100% tourqe and then drive thru the map (my Favorits are Curvy maps) i can say you get chased to death from all sides because the new spawning Cars are still bound to the spot where you bound them to yes still from the other side of the Map :)
Alternatively with the whole police chase thing, you can just spawn a cop car and a normal car, get into the cop car, open the radial menu and select "AI" and then "Flee", it can also be done to make the cops chase you but the chase AI is horrible especially compared to the Flee AI, so I don't suggest it.
One more! This is really fun i promise, install c1 japan highway mod (or west coast highway is also good) and spawn traffic, swerve and dodge the traffic like in asseto corsa!
c1 need very powerful pc,bcause i have rtx3060+i7-10700 and i get only 60 fps with 6 cars traffic

Setting up the police chases can be a pain in the ass "Suspect is fleeing! Vehicle : Gavril Grand Marshall!" Meanwhile there are 4 Marshalls on the map, and the fleeing car took off kilometers away from you

If i had beamng the fist thing I would do is do like rollover crashed in cliffs and other places and explore the maps whit the rally cars
The problem with cop chases is that there is no "safe space" to which you can drive to escape the cops, which makes those chases kindof pointless. To fix that there should be a place on every map, like an airport, where the cops can't spawn. Unfortunately the airport only exists on Italy map, which makes it by far the best for such scenarios.
