    • They can be purchased in bulk at www.northbaytrading.com/freeze-dried-organic-blueberries also sold on amazon in smaller quantities (check my amazon shop, link above). It is most cost effective to buy frozen wild blueberries at trader joes and use a freeze dryer to make your own.

    • Costco has been selling 3lb bags of frozen wild blueberries for as long as I can remember, $9.99 per bag. Contingent upon having a membership there, of course. But for those who do, it's another source option. @@okraw

  • Interesting! How do we know the oats are raw? After they are sprouted, how do they get them in to the "rolled" texture? I know regular rolled oats are steamed.

    @JellyBean-uy4fj@JellyBean-uy4fj7 ай бұрын
    • First, I encourage everyone to live "beyond the label" or raw, and embrace what is really about: health. Labels can restrict you and your diet, and health in my opinion. If a person Truly wants to be 100% raw they would not eat these sprouted oats. They would buy RAW oat groats, sprout them, hull them, dehydrate them and then roll them. That would be the best way, for sure. Most people will NEVER go thru that process. I did it ONCE many years ago! That being said the sprouted oats I buy from one degree are not steamed from what I am aware, however they are "gentle oven dried". I do like they have full transparency: onedegreeorganics.com/how-sprouted-oats-are-made/ I know many raw food friends who also eat these oats and consider then "raw enough". Just as most dried fruits/veggies/spices may be dried at "too hot of a temperature" as well.

  • Is it really necessary to soak rolled oats? I don't like the mushy texture from soaked oats so I eat the unsoaked. Is that bad?

    @Veemerica@Veemerica7 ай бұрын
    • you can soak them less, they are more hard and not easy to chew, if you don't mind. (will take longer to eat)

  • I've never heard of sprouted oats. Do they taste better, or any different? I'll have to try them. I have been eating a raw vegan diet (Dr. Brooke Goldner's protocol) for 5 months and reversed Type-1 diabetes antibodies (I have proof with a positive before test and a negative recent blood test). Isn't that amazing?! John if you want to have me as a guest on your channel about how I reversed Type-1 diabetes antibodies after 15 years of diagnoses, after eating a raw vegan diet for just 5 months, let me know; I'd be glad to spread the message about how disease reversal can occur with raw nutrition.
