    • 1. tune 0.25x playback speed 2. watch slow motion from 5:29 3. look at Walker's head on 5:30 - after Madrimov's hook he was able to eventually keep his head up and forward 4. look at Walker's feet and coordination on 5:40 - he kept steady until Madrimov dove Ref decided right, but wrong letting Walker back into action. Better to have it stopped for Walker's wellbeing and ended up with counting points on cards.

    • Was a great call. While stunned, he was not going down from that initial punch. The shoulder to the body caused the fall as ruled by the ref

    • Maybe not his shoulder specifically, but his whole body was knocking down the other guy, not the punch alone. He lost his balance by overthrowing and his bodys momentum knocked him down, not that single punch. If he throws that punch, stays balanced and doesn't run into the guy, then that guy isn't down, point blank.

  • I saw the fight live, and the referee knew he fked that call up, and acted like a little kid, when the judges called him out on it. Hope he never refes another fight on DAZN.

  • The referee should be suspended and put on review, he's clearly incompetent. Walker was KOed in the 8th. and the ref gave him five minutes to recover; then he deducted a point in the 12th to "help out". Didn't work...

  • First time seeing this guy (Madrimov) fought and he did exceptionally well. Although in order to further solidify his career, he needs to work on his balance. He threw with such an aggressive punch but most the time almost threw himself off balance. Definitely a fight of the year contestant. Bad judgments from the referee. Walker had solid punching outputs and great chin but that 9th round should've ruled as KO for Madrimov.

    • Liam J Thai I don’t think he’s anything special tbh. Walker started boxing at 33 and learned his skills in prison and is even 37 now and Madrimov was struggling. For someone that’s supposed to be transitioning into the world stage I can’t see him beating the Charlos, Rosario, Hurd etc

  • I don't really know what is wrong with this "REFEREE", It was one of the worst refereeing I have ever seen...👎👎👎 I don't know if he was on the drugs, or BET some large amount of money on Walker, or being discriminative, racist, I don't know.... But I know for sure that was 100 % knockout with a HUGE LEFT, AND Walker could not figure it out where he was for a minute or so, and this guy just gave him time to recover for nothing. Israil Madrimov is a very talented fighter, and future Superstar in Boxing, and this "Referee" guy just stole a knockout from his perfect fight record... Nevertheless, Congratulations to Israil Madrimov with a great victory!!! Go Uzbekistan Boxers!!! Uzbekiston Bokschilari Olg'a!!!

    • Not making excuses and I'm NOT anti mask but an older guy moving around not used to a P95 mask in an outside venue (hot and humid) is going to have trouble following fine details.

  • Welp, the referee didn’t do a great job. Nonetheless it’s a huge lesson and level up for Israil Madrimov. His chin has been tested and weakness exposed, so he can work on it. He’s definitely got a bright future in boxing. He could be next Canelo. Well done fellow UZBEK.

    • @@muhammadosama1994 He also gotta use his jab more, I feel he would be able to set his power shots up a lot better if he really solidifies that jab. He should also throw more straight shots off those nice angles he can make instead of just the leaping hooks, he also leans to much into his shots sometimes he needs to learn to switch gears and work people with those lighter shots and force them into better positions to land those leaping power shots he leans into. I think he got a bright future if develops these skills more, he will definitely need it against the elite level fighters he will soon fight especially because he is already rank 3 in the division if I heard them right.

  • Did that ref have a mask over his eyes? It wasn't like it was a short, sharp fast hook - it was a leaping left hook right on the button! Boxing needs to introduce a video referee. FBS.

  • I have never seen this kind of boxing match in my life . Israil could show his strength to Walker in the fight and he could defeat Walker.But Referee made the biggest mistake on the 9th round . So Walker took risk his life after knockout. I consiter that the referee had taken money from Eric Walker for supporting.I believe that Israil Madrimov will be superstar in boxing. He will be able to obtain all golden belts. Go uzbek boxers only forward!!!
