    • Just a little heads up the metallic clips your using outside will have corroded in a few weeks there not for use outside. The cartridge blank let’s call it, is to be used on the trunking nails which won’t fit in the holder 😉

  • You can get a magnetic attachement for the tip of the nailer which so you dont have to hold the metal clips

  • I picked up some stainless 304 cable tie bases from TS (35187) for a similar job. Plugged and screwed was way more time consuming, but it was red brick. Clips were good but small so a tad finicky, your clips look easier to hold while fastening. I would recommend stainless ties with PVC protective channel band though, much longer lasting.

  • Stainless steel clips/fixings outside would be better than galvanised. Probably 2 or 3 times harder material and probably cost a lot more. That Spit nailer definitly speeds the job up. I look forward to the next video.

  • Hey Nick, Great video like all of them. But I am curious about the age of those brick row houses where you're working in this video. They look quite old to me maybe 80 to 100 years old? Am I in the ballpark? Anyway i was puzzling in my head about those old houses because I love old houses. All the best you guys!

    @Longeno55@Longeno55 Жыл бұрын
    • I'm going to assume you're not in the UK, because terrace (row) houses are extremely common and most were built in the latter half of the 19th century through to the 1920s (ish) though are still built today, they're just not as popular for new builds. My house is 118 years old, which I wouldn't say is particularly old as houses go in the UK.

  • Just wondering, the section that Adam fixed, why did you not go through the wall immediately next to the junction box, none of the cable would be visible on the stone wall. If the job specification is a socket 30 odd meters down the garden, then spool of 30 meters and inform the owner to get the cable buried. If you're fitting a socket, then why not have it on the patio side, fitting a socket facing the stream is questionable.

    @stuartthespark@stuartthespark Жыл бұрын
    • How’s fitting it stream side questionable?

      @supercrazybobblehead@supercrazybobblehead Жыл бұрын
    • @@supercrazybobblehead Location: The socket should be positioned in a suitable location that minimizes the risk of damage from weather conditions, such as rain or direct sunlight. It should also be placed at a safe distance from any potential hazards. The hazards would be a stream, the uneven ground and having no lights in the area. Accessibility: The socket should be easily accessible for use but should not be positioned in a way that poses a risk of accidental damage or creates a trip hazard. The ground could be slippery and is uneven. Why put a socket on the stream side, you are putting the customer at risk. It is a poor design, a junction box should have been installed so the cable could be extended in the future.
