I’d love to see a physical copy. I know it would be another massive undertaking to find a publisher and everything, but I’d comfortably spend $30-$40 on a nice physical copy. Keep up the good work!
I think there are quite a few publishers, including Amazon, who will do a print and deliver on ebooks.
Couldn't you print out the 155-page .pdf file, hole punch it and drop it in a loose-leaf binder? That way, you could add pages for tips, tricks, and notes.
@@3rd_Millennium_Engineeringyeah but I don’t have a good printer 😂
For me, ebook is enough. I can see it on any types of devices and carry it with me. Also, physical copy can't get updates or fixes.
for real. I hate e-books
Looks great but it looks like I have to create an account somewhere to order it. That’s not going to happen. How do I purchase a copy of the e-book that allows checkout as a guest without creating yet another account on yet another web site?
I agree! I will not create an account to purchase something.
Angus, it's nice to see that you've updated your 3D printing book. I'd purchased your first book back in 2017 when you'd released it and it really "upped" my "game" in terms of printing. Hopefully your updated book will do the same for those who are 3D printing novices and/or shine new light on the hobby for us seasoned veterans. Great work as always. 😁
Thanks Angus for doing this. Over the last cuple of years I have got so much help from your videos and website to make my FDM printing work for me and my Ender 3 Max. i think one of the best design tips I got from you was sacrificial bridging, which has made it so much easier to print recessed horizontal holes without support material that can be impossible to remove. I look forward to reading through your eBook!
Thanks! Yeah I use sacrificial bridging a bunch, it's definitely in there :)
This channel is the reason I got to 3D printing! Thank you so much for the effort you put in these videos to help makers accomplish their dreams!
I noticed in your example pictures: "Holding the loose end and the spool taught, unwind the filament..." I believe you meant "taut", unless you're intending to teach the spool a lesson! :)
Good catch! Thanks :)
@@MakersMuse thanks for the book, already got it on torrent!
@@chimpo131 That's why we can't have nice things
It's great you've made an updated version of your book available. Good on you. For a physical copy, the Amazon option is an excellent choice. No upfront costs for you or concerns over shipping etc. and it will get your book in front of eyes that may never have seen your KZhead channel. Whatever you decide, I'm very thankful for all the great info you've given over the years 👍
Thank you very much Angus, you are very kind and generous. I always watch your vids and am amazed at your knowledge on the subject. Looking forward to the resin version.
Hi Angus, Great site. Just download your new ebook and at a glance has a lot of info that I've been after for while. Many thanks
Would be cool for future books to add QR codes, to some pages and topics, that leads to a KZhead Video from you where the topic is explained again or with more helpful examples
Congratulations Angus!
It's a convenient way to support you, thanks! I might even read it at some point 😄
Hi Angus also known as Mr Banana shirt man it’s me Austin from the mini battle bot competition. I wanted to say that I love your videos they are very inspiring. keep up the good work!🤩😁
Hey Austin! It was great meeting you, hope to see you again there next time!
Purchased! Looking forward to having everything in one place. I recently got started printing so this should be awesome for me. Thank you!
Thank you for putting your knoledge in a condensed form, another book to my collwction !
i love how u edit ur videos and that you made your own website but do you maybe know where you got the file in 0:00 - 0:02 to 3d print? thx
I knew I was going to buy it even before I saw the video. Certainly there is a lot of good 3D printing advice in forums and in Facebook groups, but quite frankly a lot of it is contradictory. It is good to find a book from a trusted and experienced source like you, Angus. Congratulations on completing this book, and I hope many others buy it.
Hi Angus, is there a table of contents available somewhere? Thanks
Just bought the book! Ive only skimmed it but I can already tell it's going to be incredibly helpful. Thanks Angus!
Video idea I had: testing the extremes of different nozzle sizes. Essentially seeing how small or large you can set things like layer height or line width to see if a nozzle is still reliable at the extremes or if it’s better to just swap it out for a properly sized one. Suggesting this cause I’ve wondered if it’s still actually possibly to print things like .12mm layer height on a .6mm nozzle. I know around 5 or 6 years ago you did a video about why nozzle diameter is important, but I figured you could add your modern understanding of it to make something really interesting.
I did some .16 layer height prints using .6mm nozzles earlier tonight... it's possible, but I suspect it cleans up FAR better if you run the appropriate nozzle...my prints were acceptable, but not exceptional quality for those smaller sizes, I found my larger sized prints looked nicer (naturally due to being properly sized for the nozzle)
also bought one just to support you as I really enjoy your videos.
Are you selling this? I wouldn’t mind buying a physical copy for all your hard work.
You can buy the ebook to support all his hard work. More profits for him, less harm to the environment.
@@jpe1 I bought the digital copy. It's just so well done, it would look great as a book. Amazon does print to order services. Not something I'd be throwing away in my lifetime.
Aaaaaand done! Looking forward to reading it! Thanks for sharing!
Ok bro, I ordered your book and I have an old Ender printer collecting dust. May your book finally start my journey to 3D printing.
Is PETG safe for birdhouses etc?
Bought it, thank you so much!
Just bought it! Thanks, dude!!
I am certainly inclined to buy your book but I’d be *much more inclined* if the web page you linked to included the book’s Table of Contents. Can you upload that?
Would love to see something like this for troubleshooting print issues. Especially with the massive influx of new people on cheap i3s
Bought to support you. Thanks Angus, keep up the videos.
Z level height adjust on my old Ender 3 with new pei bed?
Instant buy! I second the other suggestions that you try to find a way to offer hard copies, but I also know that publishers can take a major cut. The one that comes to mine for books like yours is No Starch Press, they have a lot of small-production books for hobbyists and beginners. I looked up their publishing agreements and they only offer 15%(!) on hardcopies and 25% on e-books, the 15% can also be 12% or even 10% with an $5,000 or $8,000 payout. Even considering e-books only, 25% is so much lower than what you can make today… I can see why authors wouldn't bother with publishing companies.
Purchased, thank you! I'll be printing and making into a hard copy also
I’m mildly curious why you would go to the trouble of making a comment that you are printing a hard copy (I mean, personally, I don’t like to open myself up for ridicule) but much more importantly, I’m very curious why the heck you want this particular ebook printed out in hard copy. It’s gonna look like crap, cost a fortune to print, and then you will have something dead that you have to keep track of in order to use. Why? I just don’t get it…
@John Early 🤣🤣 sorry you feel that way John. I much prefer paper than an ebook, also won't cost me anything so why not?
I think this is awesome. I love combining woodworking and 3d printing, and this is a quality example.
This is brilliant, and so affordable too.
Ordered and downloaded!
I went to your website but there is no place for me to sign up. I clicked the log-in tab and tried to do it that way but it won't let me. Any idea how to sign up on the website ?
As others have said; can we get something in print? You could pad it with photos, anecdotes, etc.
congrats on 1 million
Book price in U$ Dollar or AUD ?
Can you comment on the practice of putting two ground wires on the FG post of a single power supply? I understand that BIQU Hurakan's come with this wiring in please. I wonder if resonance testing can work one of those two wires out of the connector? I know for a fact that a Hurakan experienced a total electrical failure a few days ago. You can read about my experience on the featured video on my KZhead site. What I'm trying to do is get the word out so others don't have the experience I did, or worse. Thank you for everything you're doing. I still have the Xvico Pioneer I bought because of your recommendation, and it's printing better than ever!
That's wonderful!
does the book receive updates in the future? That would be a deal breaker, hence slicers etc get updates and changes.
Yep, updates will be available from the download page.
Buying just to support. You have helped me so much over the years so it's a no brainer to buy.
Got it!! This is amazing news, I have always followed you for these tips and tricks 😎😎
Perfect timing
Hi Angus from up norht in Maine. I think I'll give this a shot. Thanks for the hard work.
iff selling in future papper book im interested to buy
Purchased ❤️
I would love to buy a printed version of the book.
Still worth to buy with 5 years experience? Or just begginers guide?
The chapter on Bambu Lab printers section probably just says "Stop trying to print everything in ludicrous mode."
I watch videos because I have issues reading. Wish it was just laziness, but it’s not. I’m sure it’s a great book - cuz you are amazing.
You may see a wider marker by selling thru Amazon printing as a second source.
sounds like a tempting buy :)
I want to buy your book, but I finally realized why I'm hesitant. Your book is only in a digital format, my Kindle book reader is small and black and white. I'm not sure how easy it will be to see illustrations if there are any, or if it needs to be in color. I could read it on the computer, but reading on a computer is not a pleasant experience. How will your book read on a Kindle and do you have any plans to make a paper book? There is a lot of value in your experience with 3D printing and I think it will benefit a lot of people. My concern is how easy it will be to read.
I spy that sovol sv06, hope to see a review/thoughts on it soon!
Next vid 👌
"BambuLabs hypetrain" 😁
Thank you for all of your valuable and super helpful content over the years. I’ve been printing for a while but there’s always something new to learn. Happy to support the channel and buy the ebook. A reference for beginners and more experienced alike. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
I am blown away that you are only charging $16, I was really expecting a price tag in the hundreds. Guess I'm just used to college textbooks. I'm really excited to get this. Surprised by all the comments asking for a physical copy. I hope they realize that'll just make the price go up.
The practical thing about a physical book is that one can easily pages backwards to look up something while you are actually trying to implement it. With an ebook juggling between projects and reading wastes a lot of time. This is always true for technical projects. The problem can be partly solved with 2 monitors linked to your computer. The aforementioned notwithstanding I still applaud Angus' inputs. 👏🏻
Please help me, my printer has been malfunctional for nearly a 6 months now and I can't for the life of me figure out what is wrong with it. It's an ender 3 pro. The filiment is dried out, the bed is level and flat, the tempature, steps per mm is fine, and so many other things have been tuned but it still just won't work. The printer just prints all the layers at the same Z level. It's super infuriating and I don't know what to do.
Can you move the z axis up and down from the menu? The coupler may be loose, or the cable may be unplugged somewhere along the line.
@@MakersMuse Thanks, I'll try that
Do a poll and see how many people would prefer a physical book or a digital version. I think it will definitely pay off to get yourself for physical books. Personally, if I published a book, I would never let it go online since anybody can copy it and sell it or give it away for free! *edited comment due to some sensitive individuals*
If he does do this, I’d love if it were spiral bound so that the pages would stay in their position
Old school guy here, definitely would like a physical book. However you could take the PDF and have it printed through an online printing source or a local if you have it. My local charge me over a hundred bucks to print this so I'll be looking to do it someplace else.
From copyright to p-do weird comparison dude. Weird comparison.
You sell physical prints of your children?!? Come back when you’ve published something more than KZhead comments.
A poll is a good idea, it would allow for those who actually live in the year 2023 to have their voices heard over the background yelling of tired old boomers. Other than curmudgeons like you, how many people actually buy stuff printed on paper any more? In a 2022 poll of American book buyers only 37% bought exclusively print books. But by all means, let’s have a poll and find out if people sophisticated enough to be interested in 3D printing are also so nostalgic for outdated technology that they want to hold dead trees in their hands.
Thanks and done. Not a novie, however I like to be able to support the channel as I love the content. Also love the Picard reference for creating an account.
Many thanks for the support! Hope you find it helpful :)
Consider my P1P order yesterday me jumping on the Bambu hype train lol, after a crappy Ender experience and lackluster MK3 clone experience I really just want prints I'm happy with from a machine that works well and reliably, the one thing I've realised is I don't have time for the printer itself to be a hobby it needs to be a tool and that won't come cheap. Regarding a resin printing ebook, I hope you know what you would be getting yourself into, the best and most complete guide that I ever saw when starting with actual real world testing being the first to disprove multiple long-held assumptions was Adonael's Resin Printing FAQ. But never underestimate the shear toxicity and stupidity of the resin printing community, even they abandoned reddit at some point and no longer update that guide citing the fight against misinformation a losing battle, I messaged them and apparently it gets something like 1k views a week still though, there is definitely a demand for solid up to date information!
Thanks mate 👍🇦🇺
Here’s a tip for giving better tips: solicit input from others. Your vast audience knows things that you don’t, which is almost inevitably true in comparing collective intelligence to that of a single person, no matter how smart and educated he or she is. For example, yesterday I learned something about silica gel desiccant I’ve never seen conveyed by any expert in years of reading about that topic. Here’s a better, more compelling example: the 3-D printing community is largely fixated on fused-filament fabrication printers. What’s beyond the horizon is more interesting and more capable of producing practical real-world objects vastly quicker with better material properties at less cost.
Just an FYI for people, the eBook is $20 USD
wow, selling the information...
You definitely need a physical book!!! I feel like paying for something you can't touch is just ridiculous! I regularly buy physical books for references and I've never paid for a digital download In My Life!!! I'm sure that there are many people who feel exactly the same!
Save a tree Planty!!!!!!
Yes, from reading the comments there are other old curmudgeons who like to brag about their willingness to do things the hard, inefficient, and expensive way. Is it some kind of bizarre in-group virtue signaling?
sure as shit i dont have a bamboo lol
Bye!
Good luck making lots of money!!!! 🤑 books are great way bring in revenue since you don't have to do anything after you've published them 😁😁😁 just make sure that you save all your funds from the eBook... everybody will be copying them you will suddenly realise that your income will diminish and this is where the sales of the physical book will take over
I would agree with you there!!! decent books usually take usually around 4 months before they are all over free download sites like Pirate Bay, 1337x ect... there UNSTOPPABLE 😆 instead of trying to stop the Pirates you're better off producing a physical book
Damn you guys have really nothing better to be salty about
@@xCartoone there's literally a section in the book talking about how you can't protect digital assets haha, just gotta stay ahead of the curve and invest in community. Copy cats are always behind.
noice
If you release it as a print then I will buy it, I hate E.Books!
I'll work towards that!
chill bro
Probably as English is not my first language I can't get all the nuances. Isn't word "hate" to strong for describing relation of person to the humble computer file format? BTW I love trees 😉
@@Fayka40 yes I think so, he should say “i don’t like ebooks, I want a printed version”. “to hate” is a little bit exaggerated I think
did you know, that 6x9 makes 42?
3d print a 3d printer
No 3d printed copy? Lol
HARDWARE KIDZ!!!

Why do I need to create an account to buy this ebook? This is THE reason I won't buy one!!!!

Free? Haha
Oh jesus christ.

Just got a copy of it. Thanks for all the great videos, honest reviews, and CAD tutorials. Looking forward to seeing more of what is to come in the future with all things 3D Printing.
