23:40 biswa raised a very true and relevant question "Why good education is a rare comodity?"
Irony is that only A comedian is asking the question which our leaders, policy makers even public should ponder on .
If it's available to everyone then the value of it degraded... you have to earn something with hardwork... law of karma... if you make available all the IIT level education to comman public then no one will invest themselves to prepare for it... it's not the IIT education, it's actually a preparation process that makes them special...
Just for few thousands @@Rishi_1990
@@Rishi_1990 nope that's not valid. Thousands of students and their parents investing their life and everything for IIT and still it's rare for them.
I agree !!!!

आईआईटी निकला था आपका?
@kumaryadav1932 Nahi bhai. But I got a good rank in JEE Mains and got into IIITA. Did a lot of coding in college and finally got placed in a big company. Getting into IIT makes life easier. But if you don't, its okay. Just work harder in college and you will get simiilar jobs as IITians.
@@RupeshMaity thanks bro. Mai yhi sunna chahta tha. God bless you 🙏
I am now in my 30s. Looking back now it really doesn't matter which college you went. It's true that IIT will open opportunities earlier but anyone who is focused and hardworking will eventually reach where they deserve to be. Parents push because they are afraid about life uncertainties. Focus on learning, being happy and to be honest that all matters. Writing this message in hope someone who is young and is confused reads and understands. Life is not a race. Just live and enjoy.
thank you so much, needed to hear that.
you don't know how much i needed this
You must have gone to IIT to say that. If you didn't go to a good IIT, your experience would have been different
@@vancemusic2510I am living example of didn’t go to IIT although yes a very well reputed institute and not to brag but to more successful than majority of IITians and so even I disagree with this insane level of pressure (which I never had to face myself) which has drawn innocent students to things like suicide so it is ok to normalize hard and smart work while putting and end to the rat race.
@@vancemusic2510no, the way he describes, even if he didn't he would say the same thing, experience matters buddy. 30 saal ka hai wo. And i am saying the same, coz i am 38 now and haven't clear my graduation. But i am happy and living a decent life. 😊 khoos raho aur honest raho
Thank you Varun for getting Biswa here. Miss him so much on KZhead. He has the funniest and unique takes on life and world.
Biswa explaining Euler's theorem .... epic !!!

I had goosebumps when Varun started talking about 'Mera naam joker'. That was the movie of my childhood, I was very small maybe 4/5 but it's still burnt in my memory from it being an absolute masterpiece. It must have been my introduction to comedy/tragedy besides Charlie Chaplin casettes

Abhishek Upamanyu is totally me, i chose this hell path myself maybe because of some overtime brain wash. And my friend and even ex too got into IIT and became more determined and destroyed myself.
I did my MBBS from AIIMS. And although I liked learning stuff about human body, college was hell. I was even more depressed than I was in Kota. I haven't talked to any of my classmates after college. It's been 7 years. I got PG seat thrice but didn't take admission two times, quit in a few months one time. I just don't belong there. And I'm now exhausted. My story should tell people out there, college, degree, doesn't guarantee success or happiness. It all lies in doing what u want to do. Otherwise, it's just a waste of life.
MD in india is very demanding, they expect doctors to work all day, for 3 yrs and study during the course for the final exam too. Happy for you that you choose your health instead of participating in a rat race that is pointless
Aww sad to hear your story. I hope you are okay. If you cracked your MBBS, you must be brilliant. I hope you found what what you were meant to do, where you belonged. I still regret not getting into medical. But I’m okay. Wishing you fulfillment.
Take care of your mental health stay happy
I hope you are okay buddy , If you ever feel like talking about this to someone, I am there for you.. Stay strong , be happy !
57:30 when upmanyu said "Tujhe bhi pata hai" to prashasti is so natural 🥴
varun grover is leonardo da vinci of modern world, expert in all fields of life, he's a comedian, screenwriter, lyricist and now director too 🙌🏻
With aesthetic blue nails 😂😂
Did you mean Leonardo Di Caprio? 😂 I agree Varun is an incredibly gifted renaissance man! A pleasure to listen to and just absorb each selected word and thought.

I just got a panic attack when they were solving & discussing their test in the end. Reminded me of my mock tests . Also I agree with Abhishek when he said he gets anxious on a specific months like March, April,May(Exam months). I've felt the same- at times still do.
I cried a little by the end of this episode. All four peeps here are the voices I needed to hear. All four of you are like the elder siblings who you admire, are affectionate towards and want to learn from. :) PS: Why does it feel like a closure?
Uss bruh... Kinda same situation.. I have my adv in 3months and this made me feel ki Ye trauma toh experience krna h life me💀

First time listening Abhishek Upmanyu outside his comedy specials. Excited! ❤
The fact that they all still remember their ranks proves that it mattered alot
That mattered then the most and it is etched on their mind. Thats why they said "why tf its still their?"
It was also the most common question in year 1. It's asked so many times that it helped to etch rank in mind for life
I don't remember my rank. It was 700 something. It didn't matter then. It doesn't matter now. I knew I got a seat. That was enough.
Biswas "laakhon main ek season 1 & 2" is the best series I have ever seen. Loved it❤
❤ thanks for the film. Watched it at DIFF. We need more such conversations, to shut a few shops who have commodified education, and push us into the rut of capitalism. Thankfully I pivoted soon after class 12th, however not before spending the worst 1L INR on FIITJEE.
1:04:13 biswa u crazy genius
One of the best podcast EVER VARUN GROVER IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT 👌❤
This conversation is so wholesome. I could listen to this again in a couple of years.
I remember growing up in Lucknow "Maths toh Joshi Sir Hi Padega" used to be painted all over the walls. Joshi Sir used to teach Maths in such a fun way that it didn't feel so difficult. Fond Memories 😊
How smart and intelligent are these people!
What an excellent watch! Can hard relate to Biswa on not being happy after getting a decent rank.
biswa showed why he is the only IITian. Imagine correctly recalling an equation he read a decade back.
And remembering why it is special. God level guy
Varun Grover is also an IITian.. he studied in IIT (BHU).. But yup Biswa is brilliant!

JEE diye 20 saal ho chuke hai. Can totally feel when Abhishek mentioned he used to get anxiety attacks in March-April. Ditto bhai, same used to happen to me too. That fresh spring air used to make me traumatized for years, realised it years later that it was the exam season and now I am done with it, finally felt relieved after that. Raat ka 2.30 baje Germany me baithe dekh rha hu, saalo ne last me exam rakhke phirse anxiety bada diya, abhi ganda sapna ayega 😢 Anyways, good tug to the old memories, thank you guys, all of you are my favs. 🤗 Best of luck for the movie Varun! 👍😎

I think it does not matter whether you crack the exam or not. The jee preparation journey teaches you, how to gain focus. Even today after four years, I have the confidence that if I have one day, I will be able to study anything if I apply the focus. This confidence is due to the jee preparation . It teaches you how to do hard work.
That's great...You've actually learned what was supposed to be learned👍
The last 25 mins of this podcast... Seriously have all d nostalgia memories.. Hats off to all the superstars
I can feel all whatever u people are sharing... That stress that pressure that depression.. i m glad i m over it. I don't know how i lived through it.

Wonderful words by Biswa kalyan Rath "Why quality or good education is so rare or tough to get"😔 so true
Biswa was so so supportive! Loved his last moment of q and a.
The conversation evokes memories of melancholic days that I'd rather not hold onto, but regrettably, it seems inevitable.
Varun Grover and Abhishek Upmanyu together!! Class❤️

What an amazing podcast.each one of us got flashbacks from our preparation days be it for JEE or NEET. Also, i love the fact that at the end of the day it's all about how you see yourself and how much are you satisfied by your choices.
Biswa n varun grover are very intelligent the way they explained th eulers identity.its great to see that.

Amazing podcast Varun Bhai Totally relatable to my journey......two exemplary moments were due to biswa first one was at 27 min and later on when he explained Euler's equation. Mere to abhi 6-7 saal purane hi jakhm h aap log k to 15-20 saal k h aapke nhi gye to pta chal rha h ki hmare bhi lambe time Tak rahenge. Took me back to countless memories of those times. Wonderful promotion ❤ test in the end is so novel. All the best Varun!
A real talk. The way podcasts are supposed to be.
I got a job as Sub- Inspector in Delhi Police way back in 94 and at that point of time I even didn’t dare for preparing for IIT after clearing my 12th. At that point of time you can get admission in engineering College like Delhi College of engineering with CBSE marks. I am 54 now, till now I do differential calculus and watch documentary on quantum physics. Because deep down somewhere I couldn’t get over my low percentage 75% PCM, so till now I am burnt out.
I don't know why mujhe ye sab dekhne k bad ab to aur bhi jada motivation aagaya hai IIT mai jane ka ... it's becoming like ki IIT mai jake hi pata chalta hai ki what are we made for ...Like IIT is gateway to decide what is your future ..😅😅 Everyone's journey ko salute ...
Hopefully, it will release in NZ. Brings back memories. When I look back, prep was an unnecessary stress. Without an IIT I am still successful in what I do.
Being from IIT BHU, Civil Eng., It feels proud for me.
Absolutely loved the insightful and often from the perspective of sociology that Biswa and Varun talked abt this issue. Loved Biswa's passion for his strong opinions and the way he expressed them. Segment where Varun talked abt his trauma being motivated more by a need to tackle bullying than prior love for comedy was really great too. Have a feeling Abhishek can do well in writing if he instills them with his different experience of life.
Biswa cutie promoting the movie in the end so nicely, even when Varun Grover was trying to end

Varun Grover sir... Superb hairstyle 😊
I totally resonate wirh all those emotiins and facts from 1990s.I was myself an aspurant student of 1998
This talk seems so relatable. I always felt that others are better than me. I always wanted to be just not seen by anyone. Was always scared. Did not appeared for interviews. Got a teacher job by referral. I felt so depressed. I wanted to get married because I thought I will handle the house and no one will except much from me. But I was married to a toxic household. My husband is very nice and supportive but rest of house was toxic and manipulating. Now I am doing good in life. Try new things and I found that I am capable of so many things. The only thing that was stopping me was me myself. Now I teach my daughter to do what you actually want and don’t give up on anything without trying even if you feel scared. You will never know what you can do unless you try.
Varun sir is one of a kind 🤣❤️
