I think there's something funny about the fact that this is my first lore video that involved my own writing and I managed to fuck it up LOL. Check the pinned comment :D

  • BOYS, there is a bit of an error in this video. The Duke was not alive during the Canticlysm, the Canticlysm was way before Celtor and Celtor is NOT the first drowning that caused the downfall of the world. The actual first drowning was different, and is described in the Canticlysm Lorebook, which I'll likely cover at some point or another. It doesn't change too much about the Duke's specific character arc as described, only that he's not nearly AS old (still probably pretty old) as I described, and the general timeline I laid out about Celtor being the end of the Canticlysm is incorrect. My bad on this one, I will try to be more thorough in the future.

    • Deepwoken races take some **physical features** of the animal they are akin to, this question also applies to Tirans, the most likely awnser is that the races give birth all the same as we only take some features and *minor* traits such as chitin or moth dust. Were not hybrids or anything, its just looks mainly

    • They don't the reason for this is because of the fact that Vesperians, and all the other races for that matter, are still humans, just humans that have a Hereditary Vow, granting them some animal Features and strengths. its that reason why we don't have Half-breeds, Theres no Half-vesperians half-tiran, etc, the Hereditary Vow makes it so the child is only 1 race. So no, all the races give live birth

    • I don't think duke is intentionally evil, I believe he is doing the wrong thing for the right reason. I view him as a desperate man, driven to do things he believes will save the world from the ministry. I think he's trying to help, but is going about it in a way that to us seems misplaced and wrong.😊

  • Duke was a celtor exploring erisia before the tides consume the celtor city and cause the great drowning and since erisia is in the voidsea before, maybe he had a connection to yunshul since void sea is connected to layer1/depths and acquired his bell that way and he wanted to help erisia and its people but due to the sin of forge his sanity crumbled so did the hobos

  • As much as I love Deepwoken, the games lore and overall story is one of its major faults. Not the lore itself, but how it's implemented. Aside from books (which, in the grand scheme, are recent additions) there isn't much you can learn without having to crawl through Google documents. Why are we not able to learn all of this stuff in-game?? This world is so cool, and I'm so interested in the characters within it, even if it's on Roblox, which is why it's so disheartening to see the game do next to nothing with it, instead opting for what may as well be yet another anime pvp game in disguise. Regardless, fantastic script, and captivating storyteller voice?? How do you only have 3k subs (as of me writing this)??

  • Pretty sure the forge of sin is an artifact created by korlifiend, the ruins of the temple from where it was dragged out of was a place of worship for korlifiend and the only other place where you can find these purple flames besides the inside of the forge and its fragments scattered across the map because it seems like there's something to do with the drowned gods and krulians and purple attunements. For example ethiron has a purple variant of gale and the ferryman has a purple variant of lightning.

  • me and my friends would quite often explore the lore of the game and out of my 2k hours on the game 1k is probably just on lore discussion. with this said i wanna say what happened. the drowning of celtor happened because of the ministry convincing the then current king or president as it was more of a democracy with insanely modern technology(basically modern day but thundercallers fueled electricity, flamecharmers made the heat work in cities and so on) was because a revoltuion was about to happen, while the scholars had less experience then everyday factory workers and in hopes of winning against the revolution in cowardice they called out to the gods, to yun shul. when you turn into a contractor yun shul himself tells you that man in black did this and even tho he got woken up slightly which caused the drowning and the breaking of lumen in many other parts he didnt want this to happen. shadowcast during the canticlysm was formed because of all the dread around. what is dukes place in this? its speculated that he and the king of etrea were friends as erisia wasnt a terrible place so when the prophet found someone hurt by the king, he gave them training and more power as long as he promised to take out the king and so he did. of course the man probably died shortly afterwards but it was known by the duke of what happened because of the entirety of etris worshiping the lord regent of etris who is so great. forgot to also mention when erisia drifted into the void sea for probably years as time works totally different in the void there he most likely found the forge which gave him the strength he needed and caused him to go on a power trip and make his own citicens who he protected with the golems into mindless zombies tl dr the canticlysm happened because of ministry the duke is on a personal vengeance quest to save the world and his friend losing himself in the meantime the old world was modern day but with magic yun shull is a depressed but a chill mf

  • i feel like the city hes talking about is New Kyrsa. I mean Kennith sank to layer 2 instead of layer 1 because he was set apart from the other at Etris, he had a strong will and strong ideals. Meanwhile Duke's ideals, morals, and goals are far greater than Kennith's and he is a lot stronger than Kennith as well

  • So I just wanna share my theory on how the forge works. Maybe the forge is not only able to manipulate ones soul but also the song inside of them. The reason why I think is how this works is because of two reasons. 1. Since you claimed that his resonance got stronger when he used the forge of sin on himself. Wouldn't that mean that the song inside of him was also amplified? The reason why I think of such a thing is because a resonance might be a physical manifestation of the song. 2. I think the reason why Lord Regent wants the forge of sin is to be able to also amplify the song of other people to be able to recreate the situation in the canticlysm where they will try to now wake the drowned gods from their slumber. My theory might be wrong or is already obvious but I'm too lazy to back read. Also I appreciate for you creating these videos because I'm currently creating a story summary of Deepwoken and your videos are great to listen to as I make the story because it not only allows me to multitask but also understand wth are the npcs talking about

    • Well the way I imagine the Forge affecting one's resonance is less of just it becoming "stronger" in a sense of gaining more power, but instead editing how their resonance manifests. Like imagine the "numbers" of the rng of your Res are based on the specifics of your soul, so by altering your soul you could directly change those numbers. Also Regent is hard to say, we still don't quite know what goes into artificially inciting a great drowning. The Forge could just as easily be crucial to his plan as it could be a complete backup piece. Also, super gl on that summary! Deep is kinda getting to the point where there's a LOT of threads branching out so something to really bring everything together would be nice. I would do something like that, but that'd be an absolute monster of a video to make and I already managed to make a mistake in a video talking about one guy and his artifact xD
