Awww well done Buddy for dodging the butchers... definitely need to let him stick around, especially what with him being so handsome. I don't know how you can do the animal/butcher thing, I would get too attached to them all and end up being some kind of Dr Doolittle haha.
If theres one thing I got out of this video Tim, its this. My family also needs a pet Goat🐐🙂. What a delightful chilled out guy Buddy is.
One of my good 'safe space' stories was a 22mm copper pipe cutter. I searched for an hour to find the one I had, no luck, rushed out to the shops as I needed to finish the job, they only had the swish £25 ones, could have been £35. Bit the bullet, got it - then after using it I thought 'I should put this in a safe space, I know....' opened the spot, and right there was the one I already had.
Oh yes, been there too. I feel your pain 🤣
Buddy is a sweetheart! Thank goodness he failed to go off in the van. He's fun to watch.
Im gonna keep watching coz of the goat x
Het Tim,can you do a show just with your wife laughing.😂😂😂she cracks me up when she has a fit of laughing.
You should reach out to Bosch, dewalt, makita ect to sponsor you with updated tools. Other KZhead channels are always getting new tools sent to them by Bosch and they are not reviewers but electricians and builders. It may help you out. Great work as always
Totally relate to the missing tools I needed a stapler I have 3 had to go out and buy another as I couldn’t find them 1 week later they both pop up out the blue! 😂
I have a superpower when it comes to losing tools. I can be stood at my bench, not moving my feet, and lose the tool that is *in my hand*… I just have to find a way to use this power for good.
@vaalrus I’m exactly the same I was looking for my tape measure for literally 5 mins the other day then realised I was holding it 😂
I am standing at the bench not stood OR I stood at my bench grammer is a simple step away from grunting !!!! Pet hate.😂
@@stum8374 I’ll make you a deal. You overlook my grammar that occurs in a loose conversational note, and I’ll not comment on your punctuation. :)
@@vaalrus...meanwhile your country is decaying and overrun
@@stum8374grammer 😂 oh dear Muphry’s law got you there. Also you’re ignorant of vernacular. Brits use this present tense verbiage alot at the minute and I like it, so there.
Hi Tim, The roof is coming on nicely , its always hard going on your own day in day out , so any help is always a blessing even if they are just standing next you talking 😃😃👍👍
Looking good! Can’t wait to see you start the main barn!
Another great job nearly finished...cannot wait for big one 😂😂😂
Thanks for the update Tim and as it has been said many times before... Rome wasn't built in a day!
Tim it only takes one nail to hit something and shoot back into your face. I’ve been on 2 sites where it’s happen one hit the users safety squints the other went through a cheek. Lots of hand punctures to many to mention.😊 if you wear them while sawing why not nailing?
Great work Tim (& Jo). Looks really good. Also loving the fact you have a new goaty addition to the family ❤
Hi Tim,love your videos ,did I miss some detail of how the wall plate attaches to the wall restraint straps as they appear on video to be below the wall plate rather than above it and screwed down? Keep up the good work!
sounds like Bosch needs to come to the party with some upgraded cordless tools 😊
Come on Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, whoever ... first in, best dressed. You're missing out on a gold mine here!
The new Bosch circular saw is a big improvement on the old one I had the same problem until I got the new one
I spend way more time looking for tools than I ever do actually working on stuff. It doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing, any tool I put down is gone within seconds.
Tin snips and general "I know I've got one somewhere" Welcome to my world!
It looks really good Tim.
It's all looking good
Hey Tim. Love your work 👍
Hi guys good job on roof 👍
Reallly pleasing results - good project nearly done. Good luck with the rest of it.
That Cedar looked honey coloured in the sun, perhaps it will inspire you to get some bees one day.
Can I just say, having spotted the cross dressing, I do actually appreciate you guys keeping the DIY farm stuff as a separate channel - is not really something I'm interested in, and always enjoyed watching you build stuff on the main channel. That said I hope it takes off just as well as this one or beyond for you, as love watching the journey. Dread to think what roofing something that size costs - made my eyes water doing a summer house!
It was around £1500 all in I think. 👍
That goat would be up that ladder with you if it knew how, looks like it’s glued to your side, don’t give it the ultimate betrayal 🙈
Merry Christmas guys from Down love the videos, my wife collects sheep maybe we trade wool?
I've been following this barn series right through and loved every second. Please forgive my ignorance but the bit where you said "don't forget to flip your level.." ... could you explain for us noobs please? :)
Just to make sure that if your bubble happens to be inaccurate by just the slightest amount that it corrects itself with every flip of the level. Otherwise, if you just shifted the level along a 25 m wall, you could be way out by the time you get to the end.👍
@TheRestorationCouple makes sense. I've never done anything like you're doing before ams I don't think I'll be able to for a while so I'm living vicariously through your videos lol. Thank you bud.
I always find mine tools just after I have bought another one
Looking to purchase first fix nail gun , I have Milwaukee battery’s but hearing bad reviews about them leaking gas ? Would you recommend the Hikoki ?
Not so sure about the goats, with how smart it’s beginning to look you’ll all be able to move in…👍🏻
I think you should build a heated shop before you go to much farther .
Waiting for you to coat it in Osmo oil 😂 barns looking great 👍👍
This one can most certainly be left au natural!
@@TheRestorationCouple 🤣👍🤣👍
Noticed your were flipping the level and then you had the note. Why is that? To counter any slight deviation in one direction?
If your bubble was little off and you were levelling a 20m wall, you would be way off by the end. Flipping it means you even out any error within 2 lengths. A laser would have been better but just used what was on hand. 👍
I think its coming up time to retire the poor old bosch 18v tools tim, someone like makita should get in touch with you really. You'd be able to show off plenty of their tools... drills, impacts, saws, post hole augers, nailers, concrete saws, breakers, lawnmowers, brush cutters, water pumps and even wheelbarrows 😅
Sell your Bosch stuff off while it's still usable and buy a dewalt kit, they are really good value for money and the batteries last ages and they seem much more powerful than my previous blue Bosch kit.
Haha Tim works at a pro standard. He would not go near Dewonk,😅 DeWally is for beginners and cowboys, Bosch or Makita only
Makita all day
Dewalt is Stanley, very poor quality owned by Chinese conglomerate
@borisgulliver4970 you say that but they come with same 3 year warranty as the other major brands. I've had Makita, and Blue Bosch and the Dewalt perform as good if not better and cheaper with the same warranty.
@@christianwithers7335 you do realise that pretty much all of the big brands are manufactured in China
Did you find your tin snips, or are you now the owner of 4 sets? 😂😂 another great video 👍
No the 4th member of the snip family arrived last night and got the job done! 😂
The dressmakers scissors need sharpening for some reason.
Barge trim over top of roof? Seems wrong way round. Any chance water running down roof channels will get under it?
The barge trim goes up to the ridge under the ridge trim. I just needed to add a final folded trim section to cap/cover the junction due to the angles looking odd.
😂
Great video But it showing a very big lack of safety You where both at high risk going up the ladders the first time Please think safety 1 slip and it could change your plans
😬 If anyone is not taking a risk it’s Jo. If it’s higher than a dining chair she’s not going up.
Wet wood is harder to cut..
Yeah those last three offcuts came out of a puddle so were completely saturated. New blade would help though.
Everyone needs to have a buddy in life , even when your direction is telling you otherwise . This is I suppose what differentiates you between the mass of us who are not farmers . Me personally I would have lodes of animals and absolutely no income , so just as well your in the driving seat and not me . Bless you all as always 😊
Doug fir is Not native. We only have larch and Scots pine as natives
Yawn
Larch is not native, try again
If it grows in the forest down the road that’s good enough for me. 😂 Homegrown is the term I should have used. 👌
looking for tools can drive you nuts .barn looking good
That is not cross dressing that is channel advertising 😂
That’s what I said when Jo said I was in the wrong hoody. ‘Cross pollination’ is what i call it! 😂
That Bosch saw is the most hateful item in my van absolute shite
The fold on your sheets is. Called a welt.
Looks great , tip you could of used a cualk line when marking out the cut line be a bit quicker for next time
That was the first plan but the chalk line ran off with my tin snips!!
@@TheRestorationCouple They’ve gone on the road with the dish and the spoon to form an industrial folk art collective.
