I was literally just playing sims 2, my sim got promoted, demoted, lost his job. Went back to his job, his house got broken into, he started a fire, his girlfriend got promoted twice in one day, he got electrocuted and died, his girlfriend pleaded and brought him back, all in the first few hours playing this family. The sequels to sims 2 could never😭😭

I got into the sims by watching those weird sims 2 “movies” on youtube where like the teens would run away and Evanescence was always playing through the video and I started out playing with the sims 3, so 2 and 3 have a big spot in my heart. I actually am playing the sims 3 right now for the first time in like 5 years after playing the sims 4 and man the opportunities and cute things they do make me cry I swear. Sims 4 could NEVER.

I still remember going to my friend's house in 2001. She had The Sims and and all the expansions, and I'd never heard of the game. The first memory I have is us getting a genie and making a wish and it responded by giving our Sim so many dead plants that she was stuck where she was, peed herself, and passed out. Good times.
I remember seeing the Sims 2 trailer and fully expecting it to be that much improved....I had a whole journal to plan what my first family was going to be before it came out and I completely anticipated having my toddlers swing on the ceiling fan.
We never did get our fire-breathing toddlers 😂

RainbowGeekster sims 3 was my childhood game i was around 9 when it came out. I played it all the time so the sims 3 will always be my fav sims game
everyones talking about how their Sims 3 constantly crashed meanwhile me who's newest computer was a laptop from 2007 was able to run the game smoothly if I did make sure after installing the newest expansion that I also installed the newest patches, but pets really fucked with the game, and into the future was plain unplayable
Both are these are better than Island Paradise. That crashed all the time
i didn't get any expansion's other than maybe generations but it was way before i was 9 anyway soooo.. also i was 2 when it came out... annnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyywwwwwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyyy..........
Useless Alpaca it’s because of the water, it wasn’t playable in the other worlds, and it was one of the last expansions for the game. It was all so spread out, so the later expansions took a toll on the sims 3 engine due to it being made almost 7 years before

Makin' Magic and Unleashed were my FAVES. I didn't care about the other expansion packs; they made stuff more complicated. But pets, farming, and magic were amazing to play around with.
Am i the only crazy person cause... Did i kill over forty sims with fire in the vlauds mansions basement by having a famous person lure fans and paparazzi then since the famous person was a spell caster set a fire in the room locked with a safe that can only be opened from the outside then teleport the famous out making the people inside burn to death then add the grim reaper to the family to extinguish the flames once all the people are dead and add their urns to a large room filled to the brim with shelves full of urns and now i have to make that storage room bigger cause its too full of urns Maybe....

Sims 2 just had that little attention to detail that really sets it in a league of its own. There wasn’t tons of content (there was still plenty), but what was there was fully fleshed out and made gameplay addicting.

The first sims trailer would play before my game and I watched it almost every time! I was fascinated. I finally got all the sims 1 expansions just after sims 4 came out! Now I’m working to get all of sims 4. I missed out a bit on the sims 2 & 3 and only had some random console versions. But sims (1 or 4) will always be a favorite game of mine.

The Sims 3 I think was my favorite, tho I love a lot of different aspects from each one. The Sims 3 had color wheel and I mean u can't beat that. Also I was able to make secret hidden stair cases with World Adventure.

Entertaining video as always. I think the difference of the trailer look and the actuall game look of the sims 2 games is because there was a server fire in the maxis office before the games release, which destroyed a lot of beta stuff , making Maxis have to completely recode the game. Hence the different looks.

Ooh, the Sims 2 trailer thingie! Yeah, it was an extra disc that came with Makin' Magic! Yeah, I had that one. They talk about how exciting that it's not only gonna be 3D, but generational, and show a family with like grandma and parents and kids all posing together, and one of the devs talks about how he used the game's build tools to help design the new room on his house. :D I think I still have that somewhere...
