It's actually impressive how well Silver Sonic and Mecha Sonic fit over Heavy Shinobi and Heavy King. Even the Sky Sanctuary Master Emerald Shrine is redesigned in a way that fits Mania's more bombastic style.
Not to mention the Big Arm fight. That fit so well over Heavy Gunner.

The way to beat the machine thing in sonic mania in the end when he does the freak out, is to dodge them, then count how many times he hits. If it hits 4, he strike where he is gonna land

I found something out about the pinch mode of the metallic madness mid level boss/sonic 1 final boss Eggman always appears in the fourth thing to come down like N=not eggman E=eggman N, N, N, E, N, N, N, E… so on so hopefully that helps out
