Eckhart Tolle is a spiritual teacher and author, born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. At the age of 29 a profound inner transformation radically changed the course of his life. He devoted the next several years to understanding, integrating, and deepening that transformation. With his international bestsellers, The Power of Now and A New Earth-translated into over 52 languages-he has introduced millions to the joy and freedom of living life in the present moment. The New York Times has described him as “the most popular spiritual author in the United States”, and Watkins Review has named him “the most spiritually influential person in the world.”
Eckhart’s profound, yet simple teachings have helped countless people around the globe experience a state of vibrantly alive inner peace in their daily lives. His teachings focus on awakening consciousness, which transcends ego and discursive thinking, and can be seen as the next step in human evolution. In the awakened state of presence, we discover what Eckhart describes as our essential identity-who we are beneath the surface-and its power for transforming our selves and our world.

    • Suffering is why we are here, it is the trying to avoid suffering that is the real problem, fun seeking. That is the reason why, over the centuries, that countless millions of nuns and monks slept on the floor, ate porridge three times a day and gave up all earthly delights, they all understood this profound fact. There is now a wonderful heart and mind spiritual practice, Falun Dafa(The Great Way) that shows us a Way to seek Divinity and at the same time remain in society.

    • If you accept each moment as something you chose, I see how you are no longer a victim, which is good. But, you'll want to change your behavior to avoid suffering in the future, yet you can't control everything. Indeed, you may even resent your past self for having made the decisions that led to your present suffering. Thus, doesn't accepting the present as though you chose it open up a bunch of other problems?

Your True Authentic Self doesn't want you to to suffer, since it is a waste of energy. Your Ego craves and loves the suffering since it feels justified and blames the world telling it's personal story and it's problems.

But she doesn't ask anyone to see and understand the world the way she does. She just asks you to question your thoughts, to see if they're true or not. Eckhart Tolle does the same. And that's all you need. (Byron Katie says that being happy is still living in a dream, but it's a good dream, and nobody needs to be awakened from a good dream. But it can be a kindness to help someone awaken from a nightmare -- if they're seeking help to awaken from it, that is.) 😊💚

    • @CHEER UP CHANNEL When you are 100% mindful, there is no sense of self that can experience suffering. Thus, it is just another sensation that does not _cause_ suffering since there is no one that can suffer.

Suffering is why we are here, it is the trying to avoid suffering that is the real problem, fun seeking. That is the reason why, over the centuries, that countless millions of nuns and monks slept on the floor, ate porridge three times a day and gave up all earthly delights, they all understood this profound fact. • That which looks like an obstacle is actually always potentially an opening. An obstacle that seems to stop your progress in life always can potentially make you more conscious. So you can use every obstacle that arises in your life, you can accept each moment in your life as if you had chosen it, and when this moment is an obstacle, you go with it instead of complaining or running away from it. Accept the situation, and act if action is possible, or don’t act if no action is possible.-34

    • Sinning brought us here and only suffering will redeem us. Suffering is why we are here, it is the trying to avoid suffering that is the real problem, fun seeking. That is the reason why, over the centuries, that countless millions of nuns and monks slept on the floor, ate porridge three times a day and gave up all earthly delights, they all understood this profound fact. There is now a wonderful heart and mind spiritual practice, Falun Dafa(The Great Way) that shows us a Way to seek Divinity and at the same time remain in society.

  • That is true that time ages us except for Eckhart. He looks the same as I saw him in the late 80's when he lectured from a bench in London. Peace of mind must be the best medicine for agelessness.

    • We were all born on this planet to suffer. Now everyone is thinking, where's your proof. I have no proof but I do have a couple of hints. At all of our births, neither the mother nor the infant is laughing and likewise at our moment of death. What people today need is a new practice that shows us a way to endure our suffering with dignity and grace instead of trying to escape it. Falun Dafa, Falun Gong. May God be with you.

  • The most important thing that a being who is awake and realized emanates is WISDOM. The ability to understand and piece/peace together many perspectives ,multilevel view points. There are quite a lot who wake up but then their personality hijacks that awakeness and when they speak the wisdom is lacking and with a lot of blindspots. They are still learning and integrating and allowing the wisdom at that stage. Some are aware of it and some are not yet. But there are those who radiate the unmistakable wisdom in their BEING. Eckhart is one of them wise beings. The wisdom and presence in him speaks directly to the wisdom and presence in us.
