I am not into watches at all. Or really time or keeping track of time but I can not believe how much a testament this is what humans are capable of. The highest of the highest art form where all of our past knowledge is represented by a watches of this level.
Wow thanks now another watchmaker I'm going to be obsessed with after watching this! Love his perspective on nature, spirit, and legacy. Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous, inspiring, fantastic cinematography. Thank you so much.
Only just realised this had become available on YT! What a hypnotically profound, utterly inspiring view into the existential approach and craft of Mr Flageollet!
What a wonderful documentation! Such a pity that this video has so few views & comments as it's on this small channel. Would be great to see this on Revolution or other related channels as well. Nevertheless, thanks so much for this video! De Bethune is such a great an authentic brand. Really loved Wei Koh's comment regarding the evolution of watches when he compared it to paintings and the rise of photo cameras. Now I finally have a great way to explain why I spend so much money on watches 😂
Heavy metal, heavy art...the realy one. Respect ! 🌎🤝📈🔬⌚️🎬📽 A romanian driver in Uk
This is inspiring. It's the drama that most people don't see which is subsequently distilled into a watch.
A very inspirational chronicle of a craftsman and his art. Well done.
Damn, Denis Flageollet is a renaissance baller. It all starts with metal working. Well done.
In perfect synchronism with nature which stimulates ideas such as the old world was 👌❤️👍, yet innovates with metal (handmade of course) & concepts which are a pure art form! He works with a most beautiful team of pioneers 🥰❤️. BRAVO!
This describes what it means to be an artist, perfectly.
Thanks for producing this video. We need more of these content to tell the many untold horology stories.
Magnifique vidéo
Absolutely fantastic!
Absolutely all inspiring. He is a master and just seems like a really cool guy. Just wish I had the money to purchase one.
Well done everyone involved! Now I need a DB even more :)
Absolutely incredible. I just wish there were subtitles!
You can turn on KZhead subtitles in the top right "cc" it says in a small box.
what about speaking english and also french ?
@@michelsaelens4966yeah it really frustrates me because the English subtitles are only for translating people in this video who doesn’t speak English :/ Like come on, put on English subtitles whenever someone also speaks in English. It’s not that hard.
An inspiration for all.
Well made, bravo
Beautiful documentary... steampunk for life.
heart of automatons was the clock, cyberpunk for life (:
Debethune is a league of their own. Amazing finishing and so outside of the norm but way more practical that MB&F and Urwerk. Amazing lives and can dream of owning one some day.
Pierre, c'est un tel plaisir de te voir dans cette video! mon ancien boss et le meilleur chef de ma vie :)
Lovely.
What an inspiring and moving story about our crazy world of watchmaking. Well done!
If it had English subtitles, it would be watchable.
Hai fatto bene, complimenti
Please add subtitles.
What a shame that there are no subtitles - not all of speak fluent French!
There are English subtitles. Just click on cc button and click on whatever language you pick. Though it seems they’re only used to translate people who doesn’t speak English in this video.
unbelievable person makes me a francafile
I like my fondue garlicy too
That's what I wanted to be. Too old and knackered now. If you're reading this and you want that - go and get it. Don't wait. Don't put it off. Don't be too late.
I feel that there is a whole back story to your life that we will never hear.
❤
The spiritual home of watch-making may be Geneva. But the spiritual home of time is London.
Do y’all do Mr. Beast style giveaways where you give one of your watches away to one lucky subscriber? 🎉🎉 Took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that the built-in subtitles translated the French.
Hey new sub..😊
Yes, very inspiring. Probably more so if you speak French. Which I do not.
bro just turn on subtitles
@@theshadow7974 What a goober.
No French translation ? No comprende.
CC for those of us who still speak English but are hard of hearing would be great! This video is almost unwatchable.
Lol just the CC button
@@Thomas_Jefferson_420 If you use the CC button, you'd actually see that the only CC in use is translating from other languages to English - it does not CC English speakers. Otherwise, I would not have said anything. As the person living with the aforementioned disability, I tend to know how to work these things. 👍
Beautifully made watches but…. They really need a new designer . The designs are way to polarizing and hard to look at.
What a load of pretentious horseshit.
in all your french sophistication one flaw was a mismatch - bringing that american kid w yourself
15 minutes of bla bla bla. Where is watchmaking? Where presentation of masterpiece. 2 sec? Why I need to see people who are selling? I want to see master at work.
Absolutely fantastic!
