  • “I needed to hate you to love me” I’m not in a relationship, but I somehow interpret this song as more of a toxic friendship. I feel like I’ve gotten into one and every time she says something about me I feel like I hate myself as I hate letting other people down. I had to silently push her away so that I could love myself.

  • I've been emotionally abused before too and I know all too well how hard it is to heal and get stronger again. It's taken me about a year or so but now I can look back on last year and see how much better off I am now and know that that wasn't the kind of relationship I was meant for.   • This song has a deeper meaning to me personally. I was in rehab for 5 months and would hear this on the radio and it fit for my situation, listening to the lyrics this was my song for my addictions. I had to go through the things I did to reach the place I am now and I didn't see it until now. I went from hating myself and wanting to die to actually loving myself and loving life. 12 years down the drain but I am thankful for every step I took and the struggle I have over came.
