Surprise and admiration were the watchwords in the La Masia video room when Andrés Iniesta watched a video prepared by the Club alongside his team mates from the Barça first team. The midfielder had no idea of what had been prepared for him and visibly moved as he enjoyed a video which brought together some of his most memorable moments as a blaugrana. It was all the more special for the man from Fuentealbilla as he was able to share laughs and comments his team mates, some of whom have shared so many of those incredible memories of the Barça number 8.
“He does things with the greatest of ease. Impossible things he makes easy in a way that is not normal,” explains Leo Messi about Andrés Iniesta. The first team players had words of praise for the Barça number 8, those who came up through the ranks as well as those who joined from other clubs. “He is an example for all sportspeople at La Masia. He is a mirror I have used to learn a lot,” says Sergi Roberto.

Thing is balon dor's are an annual award and Iniesta and Xavi were at their best during the years Messi and Ronaldo were at their absolute peak and at full steam. Modric just got lucky that he played his best football at a particular season when all the big two didn't particularly have a good year and Iniesta and Xavi were gone.
