Pretty much agree 200%, having to use another brand of Steelseries mice atm is worse than cancer. Only like 5 buttons on it and they have crap placement, and can't hold a candle to this mouse.

Pretty much, I even thought about trying to buy a second hand one on ebay a while ago. I was that desperate to find a replacemant. It was marketed to MMo players but if anything it was best for strategy games and MMOs. Having to use other mice now puts me off RTS games completely.

What's with all the hate? There is no one perfect mouse that fits everyone. instead everyone has a different mouse that fits there needs perfectly. This actually looks exactly like what I am looking for. it takes what I like about the Naga hex v2 and a Roccat Tyon and combines them! I love the Rival 500 design can't wait to get mine

Bought me an SSheadset and liked it now I’m looking for an mmo mouse, but that new mmo design they have on RIVAL 500... I dunno, stores don’t have it so I can’t test it out, I currently use a Logitech with g600 my scroll wheel is failing so I’m looking for a new mouse to love, will SS be making a 12button mouse?

I'm finding it hard to live without this mouse..... It was perfect for strategy games, and mine finally broke after 5 years use. It was perfect, and unique to what was available in the market today. The fact that all the buttons were smartly placed around finger and thumb location was amazing. All Steelseries has done the past few years is release the same crap mouse ove and over again. They are all the same and the same as every other brand of mouse, next to no buttons on them.

When will these actually be available to ship? Tired of my Naga Epic Chroma and its liftoff issues. Every Razer mouse I've tried has been plagued with problems. Now that I'm hearing people complain that this mouse is too large and heavy, I want it even more. I have big, callused hands, and find small mice to be uncomfortable.

I've been running a Logitech 604 which is great. But it has been having some connectivity issues that, judging by Reddit, seem common. So I'm looking for something else. This mouse seems legit. But it's not available anywhere!?! I found one on eBay for like half a grand. No cap! So like, are they making a new editing or releasing more. I need to know.

I wish the software would support WoW. I mean, the feedback would be awesome on different mechanical in game events, like if you are stunned etc.

I do like the extra thumb buttons! 4-6 thumb buttons is ideal for me. It just looks like they are a bit awkwardly placed. Having them in a half-circle (without bottom buttons) would be better, I think. Also, there's no need for the tactile feedback gimmick, it just makes the mouse too heavy :/ No point in having the world's best sensor in it if it's too heavy.

Rest in peace Steelseries. Not a single light mouse with a good shape and a good sensor, meanwhile logitech came up with 2 amazing mice with the best sensor in the market (g pro and g403). Kana is my favorite shape hands down, but seems like simple shapes are not an option for SS anymore, sad.

I bought the rival 100 on release day, used it for a month before getting rid of it. 1st, the LOD is over 2 CDs and can't be lowered in any way, making it fully unusable in any fps game. 2nd, I don't know how much was saved per unit by putting a low tier sensor like the 3050 instead of a 3310, but honestly it wasn't worth it imo, rival 100 always felt worse ingame to my fk2. 3rd, it's 90g for some reason, 80g is the weight sweetspot, not 90. Basically, if only r&d didn't cheap out and put a 3050 in it, it would've been good, but oh well, have to gimp it somehow so the next mouse that comes out in a year is better and people have to upgrade again! Doesn't matter, the nixeus revel is already out, 3360, 84g, omrons, and similar shape to the kana. Done waiting for steelseries to finally put out a usable mouse, thank god there's other companies out there.

if you don't like it trolls get back under your bridge this is a HOT mouse I currently run the proteus core and have pre ordered the 500 rival as its just got more buttons to map out plus optical sensors have better tracking and @16000dpi 4k gaming just got better

Man, mine is about to die. Why don't make a updated version. Dont mind to pay 90€ for this. Please. I need those buttons. I use all of htem. I don't want to go to a Logitec G502 or a G604. C´mon man. Aerox 9 Wireless layout is the worst. Like, you had an almost perfect desing, Why go back to that keyborad like layout??? Aerox 5 is kinda ok (taht flick button is horrible, 0 to the desingner), but 9 button, I want 15. I use it for gaming and desing. Many configurations, endless possibilities, now vanished to dust. I guess my best option in case of inminent of my beloved Rival 500 is that Aerox 5.
