I think there is soo much that happened to Justin that caused him his relationship, his dignity and his mental health. They destroyed him and he reflected it on his relationship w Selena. This song gets to me so much. I’m a Mom of a 25 year old son who lost his Dad at the tender age of 12. He grew up fast and had depression and smoked a lot of weed that I didn’t know about till he was a few years older. He went through therapy and turned into an awesome man and Dad. I wish you were my son because I would have held your hand through the hard times and been there for you through every part of growing up. I hope you have been able to heal and can live your life on your terms and without regret. If you ever need someone to talk to that knows a thing or two about hardships and life I’d lend my ear. I was always hoping one day maybe Beiber would finally grow the fck up. Selena waited on him for yrs, even after he got married. She gave him time to make sue thats what he really wanted. I think Selena finally realized they had grown too far apart and when she met Benny he made her laugh. She hadn't actually felt laughter and feeling happy in so long being around him did that. I don't think it was necessarily his looks that drew her too him. Its was a connection of them just laughing and just having fun together. Selena has been in such a bad spot for so long. She needed. Justin is not a Saint, but everyone can see in his lyrics that he is sincere. It was not me, but I felt heartbroken. They were genuinely happy when they were together.
