Also important to consider is that resolution drastically affect performance. There is also a lot more that goes into monitors. You can get a much better experience with a quality 1440p monitor than a similarly priced 4K one. I'd say that for at least single player, good HDR is much more important than the resolution, especially when it also means you can run at higher frame rates.

If you want to buy a monitor for competitive gaming (CS2/GO, Valorant etc), You should buy a monitor with high refreshing rate. Minimum 144 hz recommended. Also reaction time of the monitor should be 1 ms to not experience delay. Theres 3 panels wich are VN, IPS and TN. Avoid VN panels to not experience GHOSTING (a faint trail or afterimage of moving objects on your screen). TN panels are fastest and cheapest than ISP and VN TN has a bit worse colors and contrast but TN Panels has fastest reaction time between VN and IPS. Your FPS Should be high as your monitor refresh rate. If you have a thousand FPS on a 144 hz monitor you will see it as 144 FPS. 24 inch monitor also recommended on esport gaming wich this is preference. This is the best monitor preferences for competitive games like CS2/GO or Valorant etc. In my opinion this short is not helpful for choosing monitors.
@ScrubsSwaggin8 ай бұрын
its not vn, its va panel. also other panels suffer from different issues, so its like pick your poison. va has ghosting as you said, tn has shitty color accuracy, ips has bad contrast and backlight bleeding. if you dont want any of those, you will need to get an oled monitor which will cost you a pretty penny and even then, you might get screen burn in if you are not careful enough..

No way 💀

@@youdontneedtoknowthis177 i bet picture quality on oled tv is 10 x times better than on most monitors
I’m happy with my 1440p 165hz monitor bc it has good color accuracy and it came in under $300
whats the name of it
@@musicstudio4250looks like he's talking about MSI 274QRF-QD
I love that Star Citizen Gameplay running on that ultrawide
First consider the price
and viewing distance
Oooo I see they are showing Star Citizen as a demo! Fitting
32 in and 4K is the only way to go for me.
So I’m the only one here using a 27 inch 1080p 165hz monitor? Lol
27 inch, 1080p, 60hz monitor for me 😔
@@makotoyuki9498 Well, I run an old ass PC, so I usually don’t get much more than 60fps in the newer titles anyway lol
Is 27 1080 good quality for gaming or other applicantions?
@@karimsaleh4659 It’s more than enough for me at least. If you look really close you can see some minor pixelage, but for normal use it’s great👍
@@karimsaleh4659 it’s alright, I have one; 27 inch 1080p 144hz. It’s honestly good I got it at Walmart just a bit over $100. I’m here tho because I’ve been thinking of upgrading to a 4k monitor with vesa mount
1080p with 100-144 hz is good for AAA gamers and also for some eSports
I don’t know why every man and his cat thinks they’re “eSports” players. You’re all bang average You think cos you play at high refresh 1080p you’re a professional gamer lol!! I remember growing up playing for fun, you kids play for ego and don’t enjoy it unless you’re going 30-3 in a FPS game hahaha.
you guys can enjoy your 1024 hz monitors that have more pixels than there's atoms of sand on a beach I'll continue to enjoy the classic 60 hz square monitor from like 2006 (it's literally the year i was born)
I have ultrawide and so far the only titles that don’t support it are all fromsoftware ones (you can bypass by editing ghaphics commands) and enter the gungeon. So black bars aren’t a problem 😊
and here i am playing on tv from my bed lol
If 27 is too big but 24 is too small go for 24.5 or 25 inches it’ll say one of those I listed but 24.5 and 25 are the same
For me the best one is 1440p, 165hz and 27 inch curved. I have the Dell S2722DGM and it’s awsome
I just checked and for some reason 32 inch is cheaper than the 27.
@@robbieballzhuge2796 oh I checked that one and it had lower quality

My recommendation for the best budget monitor is the MSI g2412 170hz monitor, it has a 1 ms response and its really cheap for what it is.
i have a 1080p, 23” and 75hz and it’s perfect
which is it?
mine is 24, 75hz, 1ms. TN panel AOC, zero ghosting ! only disadvantage is vievieng angles but its Ok because we sdont look at monitor at sides but dead on. And its very good for ps3,4,5.
Cope harder broke kid
THIS IS HILARIOUS I WAS JUST ON UR SITE LOOKING AT YOUR MONITOR DEALS AND DECIDED TO CONSULT KZhead, I WATCHED THE WHOLE VIDEO BEFORE REALISING IT WAS PB TECH HAHAHHA

@@barayt3277he prolly got the $500 dell gaming monitor they’re out of stock where I’m at

i have 27" 1440p 180hz, truly is the sweet spot!
@@marshallteminez930 wtf that's too expensive for a 24"
This resolution-size thing is what I would EXACTLY recommend! One of the best examples of a 24" 1080p monitor is the Samsung Odyssey G3
I found a 1080P, 165Hz Curved 24 inch firee
In my opinion this short is not helpful for choosing monitors.
its not vn, its va panel. also other panels suffer from different issues, so its like pick your poison. va has ghosting as you said, tn has shitty color accuracy, ips has bad contrast and backlight bleeding. if you dont want any of those, you will need to get an oled monitor which will cost you a pretty penny and even then, you might get screen burn in if you are not careful enough..
@@f1xsu I appreciate for the correction.
@@ScrubsSwagginhey man, what monitor should I get if my pc is running r5 5600 and RX6600 ?
@@smurfaccount4985 I dont really understand what you mean by running r5 5600 and RX6600 but you can use bottleneck calculators it might help write PC Bottleneck calculator to google and check it out
@@smurfaccount4985it totally depends on what you play and what fps your getting. If you can get 240fps then go for 240hz.
23.8" 280hz 🙈
I got a custom 49” 540hz, I thought I would get black bars or stretched res but I just got a really big fov in most games
Damnn
Want kind of monitor is better for MMOs like WoW? I was thinking on an 34 ultrawide, but I think is too much screen, I play near the sceen on han Ikea desk so even with a curved ultrawide I will need to turn around my head to reach the mission box text.
I would suggest a 32“ curved. Big enough to immerse you but not big enough to lose peripheral. Also at WoW you wont need the edges of the screen as your bars will be there
For 1080p, it's definitely too much and you start to see pixels. For 1440p and above, it's very nice.
I got 24.5inch koorui monitor
Curved is also better for eyes
I don’t think curved makes that much of a difference in fps games, going for a 240 hz monitor for valorant and Fortnite for me personally has been a big improvement for my gameplay and in game skills ❤
do you think that i should get 165 or 240hz if i get 160-200 fps? Price difference is minimal and its a VA panel
I highly recommend a 165 hz monitor that’s 1080p from brands like AOC and LG their very good and budget
Fortnite😂
When I look for a monitor (I’m a competitive gamer) I look for a 24” or 27” and then usually 1080p. And then I look at latency because if you have a sharp eye for that stuff you can tell the big difference between 1 ms and .5 ms response time
Is 27 1080 good?
I’m buying the Dell 25 gaming monitor 25” 1080p curved screen. I wanted 27 but someone stated the pixels would be too big. I play competitive rainbow six siege.
1440p, 165hz, 27inch or higher, and slight curve is a awesome moniter
I have a AOC 27 inch monitor
i have a 1080p 165hz 24inch monitor and i love it, it also comes with speakers which i prefer over headphones due to them giving me dents in my hair
what's the name?
I currently have an LG 29 Inch UltraWide Monitor with 21:9 FHD(2560 x1080) IPS Display, sRGB 99%, HDR10, AMD FreeSync, 1ms MBR, 100Hz, 2 x 7W Speakers with MaxxAudio, USB Type-C Connectivity, White. $248 CAD in total. Though I wish it was 120 or 144Hz but for what it is as an ultrawide... its pretty cool. The audio is meant to be replaced with a sound bar speaker because by default its pretty bad. One of the best features is the USB C connectivity to recharge my phone or to hook up a tablet to show on your monitor.
I tried 120hz, I don't care for it at all. I notice it, but it doesn't really improve gameplay for me
I just bought my first gaming monitor. It took me some time to decide but i finally went with the Asus TUF VG27AQ
21:9 is the best story games are awsome and comp games you can play at a streched resolution and with no downsides
Cant wait for the revenge episode
my recommendation for fps: pick 24 inch and set your seat close to the desk
if ur still at 60hz u need to upgrade fr
Yeah. But some people who use it for work or very casual gaming gan go away with it.
Yes I have 60hz monitor I got for free. I need to upgrade. I feel like I can get that 144fps easily.
Why very less full hd gaming monitors 😢
I have 1080p 24 inches 165hz monitor definitely sweet spot for 1080p gaming
My super ultra wides work with 99% of games, haven't really had black bar issues, most of the time you just go into settings and change it
Now i have a under 200€ Crua display. 32 ", 99%srgb, 165hz, 1440p, curved. Great monitor
I'm not a gamer but monitor is actually one of the hardest shit to pick LMAO especially when you just want to design some graphic and stuff
And if you are just playing for fun, don't even worry. Get whatever monitor you want, as long as it can take advantage of your PC/Console.
I always check the PPI. Anything below 218 is not good enough. That equals 5k res
PPI don't matter if you're going to sit far enough, there's no way you're noticing the difference between a 1440p and 4k 24 inch monitors as long as you're sitting at least 50 cm away from the screen,
If you ged dizzy buy a flat one i did i had a 32,, curbet and my head got really dizzy and a friend told me to buy a flat one,and the dizzy got away, its not for everyone the dizzyness, but if you have carr sickness like me i bet you need a flat screen one
Gotta mention the PPI

Monitor name pls. How is the screen quality while watching movies close to screen. Any pixels seen or not. Thanks. Pls say monitor name
Following what’s the monitor name
Idk the name but it’s from koorui
16:9 is the best ratio after that 4k/so many hertz ips or va without ghosting. oled doesn't worth the stress
The big ass super ultrawide is called a Samsung Odyssey G9, and I highly recommend it
After trying out OLED I can’t go back.
You want 1080p always for gaming. The image quality is extremely minor for the eye to see above that and you lose a ton of fps.
We'd disagree if you're going for monitors larger than 24 inches.
@@pbtechHave you ever wondered why monitors or some monitors seem to be more expensive than televisions
Well, buying a monitor to me is also looking at the future. I would want a monitor to last at least another GPU upgrade, so atleast 5 years as im not upgrading every few years. And when i upgrade i would want to use that extra power. Im currently considering to buy a completely new gaming pc, as my current pc is 12 years old and i upgraded the motherboard, cpu and gpu 5 years ago. At first i wanted to go for 1440p 144hz, but after running a benchmark i could aswell go for a 4k 180hz 34" ultrawide
Ok so we aint talking about how you aint activated dam windowns???
Star Citizen spotted
5 things you should consider are Panel ( I go with IPS ) , Refresh rate ( at least 144hz) , Latency (1ms) , Gsync/Freesync ( nvida/ amd ), Color accurracy. (100%sRGB) Size and resolution is depended on what you doing For Competitive fps game 24 inch 1080p is standard no need to go higher ( 24inch is all fine with 2K or 4k tho ) If you want a bigger screen like 27 inch and above then you must choose 1440p or your screen gonna look ass.
if you have a next gen console you might as well get a monitor that supports HDMI 2.1 to get the most out of your console.
Personally going for 49 inch 244 hz
There’s another thing with refresh rate called smearing. I was stuck with a monitor with horrible smearing.
ty now i know how to get the best one
All I want is a 24 inch 1440p 144 hz IPS monitor. Any leads?

I was a curved 1440p 144hz monitor for my ps5 but all the ones I find out 1080p is there THAT BIG OF A DIFFERENT? I want to jump from a 55 inch tv to a good monitor
I don't have a monitor, but I think there is no different between 1440p, 1080p
1080p 240hz 0.5ms enough for shooter
I have a Dell Ultrasharp 2716D
Aspect ratio and screen type imo. I'm going to 21:9 oled
What is a good monitor that’s gaming that I can connect to a MacBook Pro 💻
I have a 4k 160hz 27inch AOC monitor.
same specs but acer for me
British mrbeast?
Mine is a samsung odyssey g3 its 160hz but with ps5 120hz its 27 inches and 1080p but I had to buy a soundbar for it though
24 inchest that tall
For the people that want the best monitors 4K OLED 120hz etc etc I mean at that point just buy a LG C3 tv or something…..
To those people, you really need to ask yourself if you actually want a 4K display. 4K has a great impact on performance that could've otherwise gone to a higher refresh rate 1440p display with good HDR, which has a much bigger impact than the higher resolution of 4K.
i play fps games most should i buy flat or curved? i like curved ones but i heard that flat ones are better for ffps
All I need is 4:3 aspect ratio How do I know if a monitor has that?
1080p for a 27 inch monitor is still good enough. I have a 27inch 1080p monitor and i can just BARELY see the pixels when im on my desktop just staring in one place. But in gaming i dont even realize it. Especially if im playing more intense, fast paced games. I would bet that i couldent really see or feel the difference between 1080p and like 920p.
So for casual gaming and other applications..27 1080 is good?
i have the Sony Inzone M9 4K 144hz monitor
Is there a 4k gaming monitor with a good sound system (speakers) ???
24 inch is the best option for FPS games

i have a msi 27 2k 180hz quantumDot ♥
I could never game (if I had the choice) on anything under 34” ultra wide again. I 99% play single player so if I were to play multiplayer that would probably be different.

I'm on a 32in 165htz 1440p and it's immaculate, I have the exact same model but a 27in on my desk and the quality is no different at all so how people are saying if u go 32 go 4k it's a myth
