Regarding Zheleznogorsk, that's not a string. Nor is that a skull. Zheleznogorsk is a closed town (a place where special authorization is required to visit and has residency restrictions). These places became a thing to house sensitive military establishments or research installations during the Soviet era. In the case of Zheleznogorsk, it houses the Mining and Chemical Combine which produced plutonium for the country's nuclear weapons program. Which is represented on the flag with a bear splitting an atom.

I believe its referring to splitting the atom aka nuclear fission which was used for nuclear reactors and atom bombs

Bit more detail about that photo of the house covered in Tonga flags, that house has been like that since 2011 when we hosted the Rugby World Cup in NZ, they have had that house like that ever since. Much like Samoans here in NZ, Tongans will always fly their flag outside their house and are very VERY proud of where they came from. They will even fly their flags from their cars lol
There is also another house on the North Shore of Auckland which got painted into a giant Tonga flag, including the roof.

2:52 I can absolutely confirm the situation is still terrible. I am from Norway and have been working in Ukraine's frontline as a medic. In fact, the situation has gotten worse, even though media doesn't cover it. The past months have been fairly quiet, but lately russian troops have pushed further in and ukrainian troops have retreated from multiple cities.
In defense of the Quebec flag (I'm from Quebec), the fleur-de-lis symbolises our French heritage. If you look at the French flags from before the French Revolution, you will see a lot of fleur-de-lis. Plus, if you look at the flag of some other Canadian provinces, you'd think Quebec fares pretty well in comparison, I'm pretty sure lol But I wouldn't necessarily be against a change. I do like the flag of the Patriotes, which was a flag used during the revolts of 1837-1838. It's like an upside down Hungary flag, generally with a yellow star in the corner, and often with a Patriote drawn in the middle. I think the Patriote is too detailed, so idk about that, but the rest of the design is simple. We could add a little something to spice it up, I guess, just not something that's too complicated.

I want to post on the subreddit cus I made an ancient civilization project for school and I added a lot of detail including the kinds of clothes the people would wear, the government, the flag with plenty of symbolism to it but also simplicity, common professions and hobbies in the civilization upon other things but 1. I don’t know if I have the papers anymore and 2. I can’t have reddit ;-;

My town has a hockey flag. It has two feathers wrapped with a rope that has blue towers around it. A Royale blue background and on the left there is a gold with dark blue that spells out Penhold (town name) it looks very nice. Very Suttle. The flag is outside the penhold regional multiplex where different ages play hockey, there is a library, computers in the library for kids, it hosts soccer which is outside on the right. Basketball is played often and floor hockey sometimes. Penhold youth club which is where you make types of crafts depending on the day. Wednesdays kids can go in the gym and play games or have free time. Grades 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 can join. There is food stands, a statue( because the land was supposed to be a military base) quite quiet bathrooms. And last yes least happy people. Thank you for reading my essay for the penhold regional multiplex.
For the grayscale flags I'm pretty sure I got all of them (though I'm not 100% sure on the first 4) the trick is to try and differentiate all the hues, it helped a lot

Did you know the state flag of Alaska was designed by a schoolboy? It was a contest as well. It is one of my favorite state flags as it has the stars of the Big Dipper on a blue background. Simple but still invokes a feeling of the North.

As an Estonian I do really like our country flag very much as well! It is very simple but the colours just fit together perfectly. Also I am living in a city where Estonian flag was first created by Emilie Beermann in 1884!
