I love the softer nose! This board rocks! Stability is my friend.
Buy 10, tell a friend.
I got this board with the PH... did you happen to get on that model too? Excited to try it out on a powday coming up.
Nice macabroni and cheese. Real nice bro
That Hybrid in the background is pretty sweet. Surprised you're on a 53. Oh to have a little...foot length.
So what are the volume shifted surfy boards that are better? Are they the “comparable” boards you mention?
Tossing up between this and the SB powder racer since it has camber now. Both pretty wide/short Cam rock, tight 6m ish side cut and tapered directional blah blah. Also, the 420PH seems somewhat similar to the 154 racer..? Just wondering if you’ve tried one of the more recent SB powder racers and can give me any insight on how the boards compare. Main intended use is trees+pow for a 11.5 boot. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
When I say this I mean the regular 420
I've never had the chance to get on a PR.
hi there, just bought salomon synapse double boa boots, havent ridden them yet but it appears they have really low durability despite being super comfy (according to my friend who used them like 2-3yrs ago and internet opinions), do u have any opinion about them? really torn right now, they are indeed comfortable and im not sure if i should return
Best boot is the one that fits your foot and fits your needs.
They're boots, if they fit good and meet your needs, run em till they die. If they die early, don't buy them again.
Boot durability ratings can be tricky. Boot construction is definitely a big factor in durability, but it's not completely independent of riding style, intensity, frequency, rider weight and strength, or just being a lazy ass like me and keeping my boots on all damn day, even when driving. BUT if there's a known defect or quality control issue, that's a different story. If you've found there to be some known issues (like the boas?) in the new Synapse, maybe try on some other models at your local shop and see what comes closest in terms of fit. End of the day, though, nothing trumps a good fit. Yeah it would suck to need new boots more frequently, but just imagine having boots that will last for years but cause foot numbing pain whenever you ride.
Seems like a board that compromises some playfulness in order to handle that heavy coastal concrete? Or they just haven't nailed it yet? Seems like a decent choice if you have to worry about hitting those rock solid mini slabs and cookies?
The previous version wasn't this burly. I think they're going for that Coastal Snow coupled with JP's legs of steel.
When ya can't turn it, point it!
Are you going to be reviewing that Hybrid UnInc?
Last board of the year because one person decided to be extra pushy about it and not say please.
I just picked up a k2 Passport but there's good deals on this one. Would it be worth adding to the quiver?
I don't know, what else do you have?
@@AngrySnowboarder I'm moving up from a 2015 Arbor Poparazzi Rocker. I was also looking at Capita's Powder Twin
What size boot do you have?
@@AngrySnowboarder a men's 9. My Poparazzi is a 152 and the Passport is a 154. I was looking at the 148 420 or 153 Powder Twin
Both of those are going to be real wide for your boot, might have some issues getting them on edge.
Hey angry, I have an opportunity to pick up this model 420 at a great price. It’s the 148 and I’m 6ft 170lbs just worried it’s gonna be too small, just looking for something wide short and fun in the trees
How big are your boots?
10.5
You're fine, grab it.
Thanks man I appreciate it🙏🏼
