    • Royal HeadQuarters yes they are! They are preparing for situations like this! They have procedures where they go into certain areas of the room so that no one can see them, (most classroom doors have a window) And if you’re in my school, we have a wall of windows.

    • Exactly! We don't need guns anymore. America doesn't need the right to bear arms. It beings more harm than good. What are the statistics? How many people who have a gun use it for actual self-defense vs. use it to kill others? In my Government class, my teacher asked us what Amendment is most useless during our time, and I answered with the second one (right to keep and bear arms). I quickly doubted myself, but she gave reasons for why that Amendment causes more harm than good. America doesn't need guns. If you want to do self-defense, learn karate or take a self-defense class. All I see that's related to guns is the shooting of thousands of innocent people who would not be dead.

  • Ya know how they texted their parents? That’s why we should be able to have our phones in class. Maybe not using them, by HAVING them. My brother’s school is a couple streets near mine, so my first thought would be to say “There’s a shooter in my school, tell your teacher to get your school in lockdown, now.” Then text my parents. Only because my parents aren’t near me, they’re not going to die, by who knew if there was a shooter going to his school, as my school was attacked. These shooting are terrifying, and they always make me cry.. R.i.p those who lost their lives

    @Gigi-ns7iw@Gigi-ns7iw5 жыл бұрын
    • I agree. My school takes our phones and give them back 10 minutes before school ends. They originally stopped it because kids never ended up giving their phones but now they search you if you say that you don’t have your phone. I feel like that’s dumb

I used to think that might change if enough innocent people were killed, but by now it's clear the number of innocent children gunned down clearly doesn't matter to people at all. Ten million children could die and they would still defend guns at all costs. They just want guns to be available no matter what their presence brings. So maybe prayers will help. Who knows?

  • (Please read everything) I just want to say, I wish there was something I could do to help. I am sitting here, crying, trying to imagine how it had to of felt. I now realize, this is real. I knew it before, but now... it's just so hard to describe. Living in a small town in Ohio, I pray and pray that this will never happen to me. In my school, we have kindergarten through 8th grade, and I am always at another end of the school than me little sister. If they tell my class to leave because the shooter is on the other side of the building, I would run to that side of the building because I would do anything to save my sister. Even if it meant that I would die. I want to make a difference in this world. I want to help. I want to work on a fund that helps people in school shootings and other stuff like that. Even if I have to sell homemade cookies for 5 years just to get a dollar. It would be something. I've been through some tough stuff, definitely not as tough as this, but I know enough to help anyone in these situations. Words can't describe how upset and genuinely sorry I am for people that lost a loved one or even a classmate you really didn't know. It's just the experience. Over 18 school shootings is ENOUGH. Reply how you feel on school shootings if you actually read all of this.

    • xBase I mean I get its expensive and I really dont know how much it would help. But if its warranted the districts will find money for it. Most school in high crime, low income areas have metal detectors. The high school I went to had metal detectors, but kids still got in knives, guns, etc. It was constantly going off from belts , and they couldn't screen every kid coming into the school like an airport. All you had to do was go around it, or lift the metal object over it. This isn't a " gun " problem though. If guns were gone tomorrow, bad/sick people would still be committing these mask killings with, cars,knives, fire, bombs. Are we gonna ban cars and fire. This will be only be " fixed " by a societal change. God knows what that change is though...there's places to start though. Like the way were desensitized to violence through Hollywood. The way our society causes people to feel alienated. The way social media is destroying the empathetic aspects of social interactions...

      @troyrussell177@troyrussell1776 жыл бұрын
    • Puertorican 100% you are correct! Schools need metal detectors at every one and you need more security! Armed security. If our gun rights are taken away we are sunk and have no way to protect ourselves and our children.

  • Prayers to all of them I hope they are okay and can somehow get “over this” and are not to mentally scared. This video brings me to tears. I’m still in school and this is just terrifying. Like I said it’s so terrifying it brought me to tears. I’m so so sorry

  • The sad part is that because of the basic description on this video, I don't even know which school shooting they're talking about. You Americans have way too many of these things. This isn't normal.
