Heck James, you're looking hard to see those flaws, dude. 😳 We've a phrase here in England ''a blind man would be happy to see those''. Great work, as ever! 🇺🇸🤜🏻💥🤛🏻🇬🇧
Thank you sir! Have a great weekend!
I think you’re underselling yourself considering the quality and workmanship you put into it! Excellent work!
Thank you greatly sir for the comment. I have much learning to do for sure in this craft! As my fit and finish improves, I think I'll gain more confidence in pricing. Have a great weekend!
I know the feeling; I just dove into learning this craft last May. Love the channel by the way. You as well! Cheers J
Jeez, you guys are wizards! Well done, that sheath looks great too!👍

It turned out fantastic! You should be very proud of it. Your hard work and attention to details shows through again. Thanks for sharing.

Cool, old school style, excellent job! From Russia with love, Dmitry
Thank you very much! Cheers from Texas
I wanted to put this in a separate comment than that book I wrote in the other comment. But man, the knife and the sheath both came out beautifully! Well done! Especially for your first takedown style knife.
Much appreciated sir! Have a great weekend!
@@RedBeardOps you too!
You’re a better man than me. I would have tested it right into a display case. Beautiful!
Lol, thank you Jason
Nice knife. I enjoyed all the videos on this build. I think it turned out very good. Whoever buys the knife will be getting a very well-made knife and it will hack threw a 2x4. Have a good one, Stay safe.
Thanks Will, cheers sir
Wow, beautiful knife. Great job.

Beautiful knife, great work. Would be a nice one to own
Thanks David!
Beautifully done! I agree that you are undervaluing yourself. Your thought process and attention to detail are second to none. Love your videos 👊
Thank you so much for your comment Chris. Much appreciated!
Beautiful knife. I enjoyed watching you build this knife so much, I just bought it!!!
Heck yeah Mike! Should be in the mail soon. Hope you love it
Very nice work! The only thing I don't like about that sheath is that the retaining strap is on the blade Edge side. Every time you pull that knife out or put it back into its sheath you have the potential to cut into the retaining strap. It is a tough problem to solve on most knives, but with full takedowns that have large guards such as this one it would have been very easy to put the strap on the spine side. Just my thoughts, but very nice work on the blade and handle.
Thanks for your thoughts Blaney. Cheers sir
Beautiful. You way lowballed yourself there, I was thinking this was a 1k knife for sure.
Thanks for the comment Joe; I think the prices will rise with time for sure. Hope you have a great Sunday!
well done ! And man..... it's handmade !
Thank you!
Looks amazing James, I wish I could snatch it up, but not this time:) I am not really a fan of the dyed stabilised wood in general, but that sure came out nice.
Thanks Robert!
I was asking around on blade forums about ways to test my blades a while back. Not having an hrc tester, catra, and charpy testing jig leaves me some doubt in my heat treatments and whatnot. I mean, i know that i technically since I followed a certain protocol I should have a certain range of properties. But it would just be a lot more reassuring if I had some real conclusive tests I could run. I still need to pick some rope up so I can at least start doing edge retention tests, and maybe compare against the production knives I have in various steels. (I can totally relate. I ended up testing a super thin edc sized fixed blade I ground super thin I made from 10v. I did the 2x4 chop test. And let me tell you I was nervous before i started. Thankfully it help up really well. I stopped before I got through, because it was so awkward with that small of a knife though. )
Brass Rod test is another good one for the heat treatment for sure.
i live just up the road from you! we should get together and torture some steel when i get back from the east coast this oct
Awesome! Texas is the place to be. I'll be straight with you. As a general rule, I try not to meet people form the internet. Hope that's not offensive. It's damn near impossible, but I put in a decent amount of effort to keep my location as non-public as possible.
Woop
Cheers sir!
