The fact that we are fighting just a part of arceus is crazy.
If I recall one of his past Pokédex entries states that he shaped the universe with its 1000 arms. But it's clear that Arceus doesn't have 1000 arms. So what if the Arceus vessel that we know IS its arms?

The electrode looks like the hardest boss to fight without taking damage. The electric balls will always keep following you until it hits you and the voltrob makes the battle bullet hell
Arcanine is hard I had to do 6 continues
Arcanine is much harder due to the wonky space, and during part of the fight you get a very small space to dodge cause of fire spin. Electrode, as long as you are patient, its not bad
I managed Electrode easily, you just keep running in a circle around the ring. Palkia and Dialga are the tough ones

Definitely not, they just teleport to you and attack you- while the other bosses had more predictable attacks. Even if you dodge the other attacks, eventually it can wipe you at least once, which none of the other bosses managed to do to me.

I loved the boss fights in this game. Each one got progressively harder as you got deeper into the game Kleavor: large arena with an obstacle. Perfect for the first fight Lilligant: Smaller arena with no obstacles, but with a Pokémon that can send out area attacks Arcanine: smaller arena with limited space to move, and a Pokémon that can confine you to one space Electrode: bigger arena, BUT ELECTRODE HAS TRACKING ORBS THAT FORCE YOU TO KEEP MOVING Avalugg: smallest arena with a Pokémon with attacks that can keep forcing you to move Dialga/Palkia: Biggest arena, but the attacks can force you to one side, and the attacks are sent out quick Arceus: same as Dialga/Palkia, but arceus can change its type at will to best combat you in battle
The weird fact is that Dialga/Palkia had no sign of being frenzied. so it's hard to recognize that they are frenzied
Also, Dialga/Palkia is the easiest one. it's not intended to be a bossfight. it's actually just some kinda miniboss, because each balm you throw at them is really effective, and takes less throws to defeat. i say Electrode And Arcanine are the hardest bosses, the problem is that arcanine not only traps you but uses it to his advantage to use his special move that you need to tank instead. Arcanine is IMPOSSIBLE to No-Damage

I recently stopped Arcanine, with Kleavor the tree was my best friend, and it wasn't until the Lilligant fight that I learned I could save my progress, so yeah I am struggling quite a bit with the noble fights. I am legitimately nervous for the other two Noble flights

Aracnine boss fight can be hard, but I REALLY like the story with it. Sorta reminds me of Cubone and Ghost Mom.
And then there's me never using my pokemon screaming "this is my battle not yours!"
think the addition of these real time mechanics is a step in the right direction for sure, but to have the player only be able to dodge or throw balms gave me a sense of being held back in these boss fights. having my pokemon move around, dodging and throwing out attacks dynamically would have been preferred to the player just auto attacking and rolling around for 80% of the fight. there was a conscious effort here to blend the turn based battling with real time mechanics given the large amount of support turn based combat still receives, but for me personally, i hope they move to full on real time battling in the next game

for spin off like pokenn, real time and not being turn based is fine, but for the main series, we DON'T need to get rid of turn based combat. The noble pokemon system is a solid compromise, but we musn't stray too far from what Pokemon even is, lest we alienate every pokemon fan. There are other series for real time combat, we don't need real time mainline pokemon. Button mashing is not fun.
@@unnamedhero7543 i agree we dont need to get rid of turn based combat, but i would also caution against equating turn based combat with the identity of pokemon - that also doesnt necessarily need to be the case. i do think there is a significant population in the player base that would be receptive to real time action (maybe they consider button mashing fun as well?), and i would be curious to know if nintendo has ever put out a survey or tested real time combat for mainline games to determine what the market opportunity looks like

The floor pattern is the same one in the sinjoh ruins cutscene in heart gold soul silver look it up to confirm. This is a jhoto location tied to arceus we’re if you bring an arceus you get a level one palkia dialga or giratina you enter by going to the ruins of alph and are teleported there.

I’ll never forget that it took me to the avalugg fight to realize you’re supposed to send out your own Pokémon during the boss battles
Electrode is one of my favorite boss battles
I have a hate-love relationship with the boss fights. I hate the fact that its difficult and I used to press the option that starts the fight from the very beginning until I figured out that you also can restart the battle during a later moment in the fight so that you don't need to do the earlier parts. It took a long time figuring that out making me realized that I wasted extra time. The thing I love about it is the graphics and the way the boss pokemon react.
I can somewhat understand the complaints about this game not living to their standards (let's not get greedy here), but it's a strong step-up from the previous main games when it comes to concepts and inherent difficulty, plus I like how that due to our character being a 'Faller' due to Arceus summoning them from their own respective timeline giving them amnesia that resembles Looker in ORAS (he could only remember his name and not much else), that they come to see everyone else as more than just friends at various moments. Prof. Laventon comes off as a doting father who's quite protective and accepts them after they first help him out, Rei/Akari are like an older brother/sister helping their younger 'sibling' get used to the harsh reality so they can survive. Cyllene is kind of like an adoptive mother, taking you in and despite her initial coldness, really does care about your safety and tries to find ways to continue supporting you after you get exiled. Also, her ignoring her superior's orders by re-instating you back into the Survey Corps is something that Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh! would do, 'screw the rules, I make them myself.' Adaman is a cool guy and I like how he based his trust on you early on what could be the stance of 'this stranger didn't have to help my Wardans but they did so out of pure of heart, they're worthy of having my complete trust and faith', showing that he tries to look for the purity and positive virtues inside others not just what they're capable of performing. A very cool friend who has an excellent sense of judgement to me. Irida is that one girl who's envious of what you're capable of and doesn't know if you're exactly 'normal' at first but also becomes incredibly protective and nice to you once she knows you more. As for the gameplay mechanics and tweaks...after three generations of the annoying friendship mechanic (which started in Gen VI and continued to Gen VIII) which broke the difficulty outside of the Battle Facilities/PvP, it's very nice that it's gone. Makes the game refreshing to have to rely on being smart and knowing that you can't just cheat defeat due to the 'power of friendship', and honestly that mechanic made the games more anime-like than before which wasn't something I liked after one generation of it. I'm ok with the graphics being kind of wonky at times, not really annoyed by that in general if the gameplay is decent enough. The concept that humans (including our character) can take damage (or if you look at it realistically, die) from Wild Pokémon attacks and that we have to actually dodge and move around if our Pokémon aren't fighting to keep us save, makes sense when it comes to survival. Hisui/Pre-Sinnoh was all about survival, Wild Pokémon were a threat as they're basically equivalent to wild animals irl who can pose a big threat if we're dumb enough to approach them or let them come to us. Captured Pokémon are still friends but they're closer to 'tools' to ward off Wild Pokémon than what comes later on in time. Our Pokémon are responding to our will to survive so they're doing their best to keep the attention off of us while we try to move around to avoid being caught in the crossfire, makes sense that the Pokémon who are fighting remain 'stationary' while fighting each other while we actually move around. The rebalance on the IV/EV system and transition to a real-time system in-game makes for an interesting take. Can't just stomp the opposition with 1-2 Pokémon all the time anymore as even being overleveled doesn't keep you safe when your team still takes quite a beating. I'll admit, that Xenoblade Chronicles reference of 'overly high leveled enemies' in the starter area is insane. Outside of that Rapidash, if I wasn't thinking, I'd go down against that Alpha Luxio if I tried to pick a fight with it when I first spotted it.

@@crusader9763 I was a big Pokemon fan ever since Gen I came out, this game being a lot different from the previous games which aren't spin-offs caught my eye. It arguably brought me back to playing the series properly after the failures of Gen VII and Gen VIII which didn't remove the friendship system which wasn't needed after one generation of it as it made the games less fun when they become more anime-like (I was ok with it in X/Y as it was introduced there but afterwards it became lame as there was no way to disable it.) Gen VI (X/Y) was too easy, the remakes of R/S were also respectively a bit too easy due to Megas returning, Primals being a thing and the friendship system still implemented. (Ultra) Sun/Moon (Gen VII) were a bit harder but still not that hard once you knew how the trials worked. Sword/Shield (Gen VIII) were failures, too hand-happy (as in for me the very early access to the Wild Area wasn't that needed considering that online access allows others to start up Raids to get you Pokemon that you don't have access to yet), too short (main story isn't that long and the number of routes are too low and disappointingly short and the postgame/DLC content can be finished in under a half an hour), and the 'carbon copies' of characters of Gen VII characters in terms of personalities didn't really stick well with me. Bede was a more jerkish version of Gladion, Hop was almost a direct copy of Hau, Marnie is Lillie but more self-aware and conscious of what's going on (she knew why Team Yell was hindering other trainers and she didn't approve of it.)

This is a fantastic, intriguing game. The only changes I would make to the game is replacing electrode with zoroak, and giving Arceus an HD texture because to me, he looks like he came straight from a Nintendo 64 game. Everything else is awesome.

For the kleavor boss fight I didn't know at the time you could battle it with your pokemon so I just kept throwing forest balm at it until I beat it
