The problem with this guy is he just isn't charismatic. He's dry as sandpaper and matter of fact. It's like the UFC are pushing this guy in our faces and were like "so what, he's good at wrestling, who cares?" They need to do it organically, let him gain the fans respect over time, not force it be cause he just doesn't have the personality to pull it off yet. Some guys have it, some don't.

@@hanoitripper1809 Ironically Volk wasn't popular at the beginning, especially when he beat Max but he gained the fans respect after the Ortega fight. And Merab who seemed to be hated by the fans in the beginning, largely to do with his fighting style, seems to be winning the fans over with his personality. It just takes time and the UFC shouldn't force it otherwise it just looks like Dana White privilege.

How can he say his placement on the card was appropriate with a straight face over former champs and fighters who have been fighting the absolute best for years.
His placement on the card does make sense given how everything played out. You want the prelims to be exciting to sell the main card. Jiri was perfect, he lead a ton of people to immediately click over and order than PPV. Bo on the otherhand was the worst part of the whole night. If they had put him on the undercard, most of the audience would have changed the channel to golf or WNBA and forget UFC 300 was even happening.

Him saying it's appropriate is nonsense. Ufc was just trying to boost the guy and it backfired. He didn't perform the way they hopped therefor he didn't standout at all. Was a waste of a fight slot.

Fans had a right to be upset about Bo being on the main card and it showed in his fight. The match up was prelim or at best fight night caliber. Wtih all the great match ups on the card it was an insult to the sport. You know the UFC put him on the main card expecting him to run through Brundage. Having his fight as the last prelim would have made much more sense. In hindsight I think they would agree that Jiri's fight should have been on the main card.

Ppl are mad about cans. "Can crushing" means crushing the guys, and he's done just that. There's plenty of ufc veterans who take can level guys to decisions. That's not really the main problem and cause of hate. I don't understand how so many peoples take away from a close fight with usman as a negative. Before the Leon losses, he was in talks of being the goat, and still is considered one of the goats. Yes usman didn't have a full fight camp but khamzat was also training for a totally different fighter. It was ballsy on both ends.

It was good to see him get humbled. It doesn't matter if you have a gold medal in an individual sport, this is mma it's completely different. Leon Edwards and Sean O'malley didn't do any sport as a kid and both nullified the wrestling of people who done it their whole life.

Chimeav's 5th opponent was undefeated 8-0 and was a 3x SAMBO world champion. Considerably higher quality opponent than Nickal's.
