  • Hopsin said in an interview that it was hard to write his part without profanity because he was so used to using it as filler, but he thought it made him better because he had to really think about what he was writing.

  • I found your video on NF Clouds and it led me here, another quality video. I love hearing the expert-level breakdown of what makes these videos so absolutely amazing. I'm sure plenty of other people have told you about the balloons and such, but there is a reason why they aren't going away. Nate gives us the answers when he talks about how "you (God) gave me this place to go when I'm hurt. I thought it'd get better but it's getting worse." and "yelling with all of my fans to wake up, but feel like I haven't." in Intro 2. In Intro 3 he follows this up by burying his fear/issues. I think this can be interpreted in many ways and one way that I interpret it is literal, as in he's conquered fear but still feels the other damaging emotions and issues are necessary. Alternatively, my preferred interpretation is that he metaphorically buried his fear in a negative context. Like swallowing our feelings, we can often backslide while healing and sometimes it's difficult to overcome that negative slide. So we revert back to our old, buried habits that protected us and we didn't finish healing from. So the balloons are still there.

Well, with the normal drones like dji, etc. I totally agree. But you do know they make big drones too, right? Like crazy big things, that has no problems carrying a full camera setup. 🙂

  • It’s interesting the use of a Mountain when climbing the mountain is often used in mental health to explain recovery. That you climb and may fall down to the bottom but that on the climb you’ll need tools and skills and people to help you manage things until you’re in a more comfortable place. When you’re content with where you are you can then help lift others up. Peer support.

I am a UX Design Major and planning on getting my Masters. I would love to make films, but I am trying to be practical by getting a technical degree to pay back my school loans. My assumption is that a Masters in Design would be wiser than a Master in Film Production but if I were to be real, I want to tell stories.

  • I genuinely love your small insights and general reaction! I'll see you growing in no time and teaching us a lot! Btw, I bet you will fall in love with NF - Story. A Masterpiece of a Music Video in my eyes. And if you are interested in talking about animated FiIm, I recommend watching Arcane and reacting to that!

  • I’m not sure if this was intentional but I love the metaphor where he says “I hope it don’t bury me.” Even though he’s already buried. To me it’s a good metaphor to show how some people don’t want to have these issues and burdens yet they already have them and they just don’t realize it.

  • I’ve watched a billion NF reactor videos. And this is such a unique perspective of NFs videos. If you’re going on this journey, I’m definitely a sub! This is so cool.

  • If you have questions about the balloons, you can watch the Leave Me Alone song and it gives some pretty great depictions of what they represent.

  • As much as I love these music videos reactions, I would love to see you react to short films too. There are a lot of great ones and another director's viewpoint/commentary on how it works, what you'd have done differently and stuff like that could be very interesting. If you want some suggestions, two of my favorites are "Other Side Of The Box" by Caleb J. Phillips and "Stalled" by Matt Black.
