Don’t talk for others
oh lord i can't watch this. if i do i'll end up buying one.
Can't afford the original Henry, but I have a Henry .357 Big Boy Steel Carbine. It's awesome.
Hickok was the one who seduced me into buying a Marlin 1895CB! I was after a rolling block in 45 70, something traditional, and he brought out that octagon 26 inch barrel CB and I had to have one. I like the rifle, so I would call Hickok a good influence!
Almost 2k
wow, hickok45 is a freaking marksman with this gun.
"Load on Sunday and shoot all week." ❤️
Danny Glover in Silverado: "Have you ever seen what a Henry rifle can do in the hands of a man who knows how to use it?" Yes, Hickok45 showed me what a Henry rifle can do. :)
One of the finest lever guns made.
As a Brit who cannot legally own a gun, I still find this channel really interesting.
Vidya Fimmy you guys really can’t own any type of firearm ?🤯 how do they expect anyone to protect themself if in a dire situation
huh me/ Probably have to use pepper spray or some other puny thing
@@fckgooogle1000x NOT allowed to use pepper spray/ This is why the UK is a knife culture.
Not true, you just have to apply for a firearms licence in the UK
@@RhynnMedia Oy mate! Just use a bloody Narwahl tusk....

Seems like most of my firearms purchases of the past several years have been inspired by politics and an uncertain future more than by the love of the thing itself. Seeing this rifle up close and in action makes me seriously wonder why I even bothered with those "black" rifles when I could have had something like this to adore for the rest of my life - just absolutely beautiful.
Same here my friend... Of course we all buy firearms for intentional purposes, however I lean more towards what makes me fond of them.. I love 1911's, lever action and cowboy action revolvers... Such beautiful firearms..
Well those "black" rifles are a much more practical purchase. That being said, if you are all set with those rifles, there is nothing wrong with making some room for something like this. This sure would look nice in a case above the fire place. Of course a case I could get into with ease because I need to shot it every once in a while, ha.
I have 4 black rifles .But I still love my 45 colt Henry.

Hickock made it on the page for this rifle on Henry's website! Good job Hickock and Co!!
+GHOTI_ Thanks, but that's actually not a goal of ours; in fact, we've had to ask a couple of manufacturers to take down some of our videos. We don't mind a company using one or two of our videos here and there generally; however, we do not want to be the marketing arm for any gun maker. We love it if our videos help encourage people to get into the shooting sports and buy firearms, but we're independent of specific gun makers.
hickok45 Ah, that makes sense. I was already into guns, however the KZhead scene has just amplified that, and if I may say, that is a beautiful rifle. If I had that, I would almost not want to shoot it! Love the videos, very informative and entertaining!

My wife bought me a Henry. It doesn't get much sweeter than this!
+Roger Metzger Nope, they are really special pieces of hardware and of history.
+Roger Metzger Marry her!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
+Ray07 Two. One in Texas and one in Michigan. One is married. The other has a live-in boyfriend. I assume both of them are armed but I've never learned whether they have Henrys.
Before purchasing my Golden Boy, I watched your review and went right to Gander Mountain. Mr. Imperato was not aware of you at the time, so I enlightened him as to your helping me decide on the purchase. I am not at all surprised he would provide one of their guns for your enjoyment. A more generous and considerate person would be hard to find. The man is a true patriot as you are Hickok. Kudos to you both.
Just to put in some perspective the videogame in the game Fallout 3 The Henry rifle is called the Lincoln's repeater and is the best small gun in the game having the best accuracy and critical damage. That being said it is one of the best and most fun weapons to use and it allowed me to check out the original rifle and I love it.
TDWTB I'm not familiar with specific video games, but I can see how they named it. Lincoln enjoyed testing new firearms, and I've read in several places that Lincoln liked the Henry he was presented with. He used to target shoot on the White House property, which I don't think they do much anymore. :-)
hickok45 True, i dont see obama firing Magpul PDRs on the white house front lawn.
Long gone are the days of being able to shoot in DC without being arrested let alone being able to target practice on the white house lawn. Shame.
Haha, my favourite gun in Fallout 3. This gun is amazing, you're so lucky you got it for free. What a beautiful rifle.
Is that true about Lincoln target shooting on Penn Ave?
I want this rifle more than any other gun. I love the Henry’s so much. The “original” is such a beauty.
"The engravings provide no tactical advantage."
+Kusagari Blues "...unless you're planning to auction it off as a collector's item."
Gearack It's a quote.
+Kusagari Blues i think he knows
+Kusagari Blues Funny you should mention that since I finished the quote."It's a nice gun, I'll give you that, but the engraving gives you no tactical advantage whatsoever, unless you were planning to auction it off as a collectors item." -Naked Snake, MGS3
your pretty good...
I like to watch this video 1) because the Henry 1860 is my favorite historical rifle and 2) Hickok's absolute LOVE/PASSION for the Henry and history in general shines through perhaps more so than any other of his works. One can tell that his former profession was that of education/teaching (though I must wonder if he ever ran out patience with youthful indifference) as he has a real gift of articulating history in so many of his videos. I could easily see Hickok working as one of the premiere NRA Curators working closely with their magnificent Museums in Virginia and Missouri.
Watching this I'm contemplating to go to America just to be allowed to own such a gun without being considered a borderline criminal.
Lever guns are considered classy most everywhere that you can get firearms.
2nd amendment is the main reason I decided to get my citizenship
what hell do you live in
Come on in! Go somewhere like arizona and vote red. Keep the states free! But do it legally, ya hear? We got enough problems with border hoppers round here
A well regulated militia baby ya
I love the good history lessons and stories you share with all the guns you make these videos , anyone can set up a camera and shoot at targets . but the detail facts and good ole quirky hickok humor make these my favorite on youtube by far. Thank you for work you put in i can probably say we all apperciate it :]
I love how the empty brass just pops out the top with some smoke, then drops to your feet, not getting flung 20 feet to the right.
I really enjoy watching your videos of historic firearms. I have said this before, the passion you have for them makes for a very entertaining video. I enjoy all of your videos but the ones that come with a history lesson will always be my favorite. Thank you for showing us such a beautiful (and accurate) rifle.
That is simply a beautiful rifle!
I certainly agree!
hickok45 So jealous! does the barrel get hot after shooting Sunday through Monday? these small tips (which seem common sense ) like ; don't let these rounds slam downwards , don't have your fingers in front of the cylinder on a revolver and where is your gun pointed are necessary. If you're new to shooting, like me, it's a head start on safety
Hickok is straight deadly with this lever action
“And here’s what repeat means” *laughs maniacally while firing*
I own four Henrys. Each one has a brass receiver and I love them. I have one in .17 HMR, .22 LR, .44 mag, and .45-70 govt.
Given your name, I can't say I'm surprised.
The .44 mag is amazing. The only downside is the cost of ammo. Also, the recoil on the .44 mag caught me by surprise. Shooting the big revolvers aren't too bad. Shooting the Henry, which has some weight on it, recoiled harder than expected. Due to the increased muzzle velocity, perhaps? Nothing anybody couldn't handle but it lets you know it's got some power going down that mass accelerator tube.
@@Ichibuns surprised me too actually. I thought after shooting the handgun the Henry's kick wouldn't be much but it sure is
Another excellent vid by Hickok. Thank you to you and John for all you do. This was an exceptional video and like other members posted, we love when you go into the history of a particular firearm such as this. You have influenced me to purchase one. Thank you!
Great looking rifle!
Love your videos Hickok. Very cozy and informative.
I am so pleased to see companies donating to "the cause"! Hope it keeps new videos coming. My father is looking into handguns, and I started to tell him about youtube videos where he could find good information. Straight away, he asked, "Hickok45?". I was surprised! Sir, you have a great message and you are reaching more people than you think.
One of my favourite uploads of yours ~ enjoyed watching Thank you chaps! 👍
man, this thing shoots better than the modern rifles...
or this is because of the man who shoot?
Great video. I've been on a Hickok45 video binge the past few days. Keep up the great work.
A joy to watch you having so much fun.
That sound of the lever action in slow motion never gets old to me.
hands down my favorite Henry Rifle. love the 44-40
Very nice. Love the Henry. Thanks for sharing Hickok.
You can really tell that Hickok enjoys some guns more than others. This was definitely one of his funner videos!
I remember this one. This, I believe, is the rifle that you fired and had ZERO misses! Nice!
You sir are a true OG. Awesome shot.
I have three of their rifles, a Big Boy (.44 mag), Golden Boy and Mare's Leg (.44 mag.). Superb quality. Almost works of art. Might have to get the .45-70.
19:32 "Now if you're going to war" I lost it, that might be the best hickok45 joke.
What a beautiful rifle. Thank you so much for sharing.
Its a beautiful firearm. Thanks for showing it to us.
I bought a box of old rusted gun parts. It sat for two years till I pulled a few parts out last week. Two Henry Arms lock plates. One is brass. I doubt anyone is building one of these and would need it. But it got me reading about Henry over a pot of coffee.
love your vids Hickok, keep em coming!!!!!
I'm in love. Thanks for the video Hickok!
Great teacher/Historian..and excellent shot, you make your namesake proud!!
I have watched this a number of times and each time I amazed that, unless I missed it, Hickock45 never misses with this rifle. He also seems to be shooting faster than any other rifle except for some semi-auto rifles.
That sure is a beautiful work of art! I'm glad Henry brought that one out.
This man is a sharpshooter, and a humble one. I’d be delighted to meet him and talk about history.
I LOVE the Henry Rifles...both original and the current Henry Company Rifles! I have four Henry rifles (Mares Leg, Golden Boy, pump, and survival) and they just don't stop shooting! The action is SO smooth, the Company owner/CEO is so personable and available to customers, and they are made so well! All American made and you are correct on the wood...absolutely beautiful! I hope to get one of these one like you have oned day! Wonderful video with superb history and shooting! Keep up the good work hickok45!
Another outstanding interview sir
Damn Mr. hickok's on point with this gun.
What a beautiful rifle! Truly remarkable.
Very nice rifle. The folks at Henry Repeating Arms are GREAT as well!! They go out of their way to make sure you are a satisfied customer.
That may very well be the most beautiful rifle I've ever seen in every sense - historically accurate, reliable, fit/finish. Amazing.
Awsome rifle, awesome video. Thanks Hickok!
You really made this enjoyable! Makes me want one of these. Thank you.
love the lever actions!!!!
If it is a Henry the action is butter smooth.
Very beautifull rifle, nice finish, accurate, wood is gorgious. Collection piece! Thx as always!
Definitely one of my favorite "classic" guns. Would love to get a chance to shoot one someday.
I'm glad you have it. It was hitting dead center and it is gorgeous.
Nothing better than a beautiful lever action rifle!
That thing is gorgeous!!! Love the review!
Guns and history Good way to start Monday morning
I absolutely love the 'original' as well as the 'big boy'. When you can put those big, heavy rounds in a 1MOA at 100 yards, repeatedly, you know it was a war-changer! And you mentioned it, the fact the Henry company is making them here in the USA and keeping the original designs, just an honor to own one.
Great American company and great to see you with a Henry Hickok45!
That's one more thing I really like about Hickok, no matter how expensive or how rare a firearm is, he still has to shoot it. Sometimes alot. :)
You could NEVER bore us.
Beautiful rifle, Hickok! You couldn't miss with it, and it looks like you were having a lot of fun shooting it!
I love Henry Repeating Arms!
BEAUTIFUL ! I own and love the Henry Golden Boy (22lr). Thanks for giving us a look.
I love the history lessons, thanks!
That is one gorgeous rifle.
Love your videos keep up the good work.
ow man i just love this sound....your channel rules man, for real !!!
Modern firearms are good and all but there's something about the lever action that makes it so beautiful.
I REALLY enjoy the sound of the rounds sliding down the mag tube.
Beautiful. I'm sold. Going to grab one this week . My gun shops carries a lot of Henry repeating Arms .
Always wanted one of these since watching "Dances With Wolves" as a kid.
Loves my Henry!
Another outstanding review sir, thank you
Beautiful rifle! Henry rifles in general are beautiful. A Henry is on my list.
I have to say Mr. Hickok45 out of all the guys you have fired and me being an AK/M4 guy that is the most beautiful rifles I think Ive ever seen and If I thought I could afford it I would it in a heart beat! The more I watch your channel the more old school firearms get! Does that sound weird? If youre every willing to part with it for Texas bottom dollar you let me know ;) BTW Thanks for showing the .454 casull revolver I and Im sure many others requested. You truly are a voice of the people!
These videos are excellent....and you are an excellent shot.....keep it up.....life is good!
That engraving is gorgeous x.x
Beautiful rifle.. Thanks Hickok :)
The engraving is Gorgeous. I'm a sucker for engravings. Love Lever-action rifles.
Nice review and history lessonHickok! I would love to see you review the Henry Big Boy in .44 magnum.
Hickok is right on the money when it comes to how to load the Henry. Slide the .45 Colt cartridges slowly and don't drop the spring follower too fast! My friend and a life long shooter did just that and set off three rounds in the magazine tube. My Uberti has a nice bulge half way down the magazine. Luckily he had his safety glasses on and nobody was injured! Keep the great videos coming...
Beautiful engraving.
Thank You, for going out into the unusually cold weather for Tennessee, Hickok45, and shooting the Henry Rifle, plus making the good video about it. That's an exceptionally good looking rifle. Hickok45 is right about the American Black Walnut stock. = The wood stock, blued finish, and the engraved brass makes the Henry rifle a real show piece.
PURE LOVE THIS SHOW.
I do love both of my modern Henry rifles.
Additional info. There were companies and regiments privately funded with weapons during the Civil War. The 66th Illinois was a unique regiment having had the Henry Repeating Rifle, as standard choice, among other rifles.
Beautiful rifle Hickok. Saving up to buy one just like it.
Beautiful rifle and bloody good shooting Sir!
Great Job on the review.... I just found your channel over the holidays and I'm dying to get my hands on a Henry .17 HMR
Very nice rifle.I have the Uberti in 45LC and that's one of my favorites and very accurate.Love shooting it.
You are truly a blessed man, G. :-)
