After just building the safe, this is next and then the aero clock. These are so cool. I've been an RC/plastic model builder for years and and this is a nice change as I was burnt out for some time. Looks good 👍
I can't imagine how much time, someone would need to design a gizmo like this. Not to mention building it

Help PLEASE! My son just put this together - but the top is resisting and not opening smoothly (manually). Plus - you can turn the key repeatedly, but it doesn't open the box. Any suggestions?
There will unavoidably be some manual error or mis-adjustment that leads to traction resulting in this situation. Have you waxed each components? Proper lubrication will solve this issue. I actually melted candle and lubricate every wheel and joint i can see. I used hair dryer to melt the dried wax all over the box and rotate the key repeatedly to make sure all was go into the right place. And it worked!

What would happen if you used vegetable oil for lubrication?
I think the wood would absorp the oil, you can use candle wax
@@chezcharlotte2485 I did end up using candle wax, also tried petroleum jelly that seemed to work good too.

@@user-ol9vt4hs9w That is good to know. I think its is luck. I have made a few ugears models and some go together easier than others and work smoother. Even two of the same model can be different.
Hard soap bar is the lube. Helps to address and burrs while building. Super fun kits. Just built the bank.
