Yeah because people underestimate how fast males can run that being said I'm also shocked how fast this male ran its insane.

You can see how big male with dark mane is running out of steam after few hundred meters. He is massive, very muscular, lot of power, good speed, but also lot of bodyweight, he started like a bullet, but his body is not made for longer distances. That is why human sprinters who run 200 m with 20 seconds, can not compete on 800 metre or 1500 m distances on Olympics. They would need different body and different training

No, once dominant the lion of the area shows up they won't dare to come near him. When the lion coalition takes over the pride of that area, lions will go search for other predators like hyenas clans, and wild dog clans to dominate them. So that's why the hyena clans don't dare come near at dominant lion of the area.

Are you ok or a child? Or just unwell? Btw the Hyena was clearly eating the Lions meal so again, I don’t understand this “don’t dare” cos the Hyena literally DID DARE 😂😂😂🤦🏻♂️

I thought he was a bit tall to be from Marsh pride...I asked a guide on YT but he didn't answer me...glad he made it out alive this young male. Do you know who his father is? I don't think it's Olerai and Olekiti, it hadn't been that long since they had Acacia pride...yes??

According to the Mara Lions experts, This male is sired by Saruni, Osidai, ntui and Oronkoi. He is born in July 2019 in Accacia Cheli Pride. Watch his big size. Same frame as Olepolos. Just 3 and half years old.

The younger subadult just ate a lot and who wants to run after a big thanksgiving meal if they over stuff themselves like lions do ! Not easy , All the bloods in your stomach digesting the massive amount eaten, Looked that way to me ? If wrong so I am , They breathe rapidly to quicken digestion , Herbivore’s provide sufficient water but after a heavy meal they do want a drink or what’s adequate , But can survive on the herbivore’s moisture content from grasses it takes in .

He was not committed to a full out attack, 0:22 he had caught up and could have jumped on his back but paused. Watching on a TV shows his pause better.
