Artists do sit there with songwriters and tell them their feelings or a lyric line idea.. then they either write it together or the songwriter comes up with something & writes it for them. Hence the term someone else wrote it. Doesn’t mean she didn’t inspire it. See it ALL the time in documentaries and behind the scenes videos.
