I'm just picturing the seven maidens taking time mid quest to spend a night convening around Zelda to figure out what to message back to Gorgug because it didn't sound a lot like Zelda and with stuff like "say you were late because you were out partying" and "it's whatever, you should pretend you aren't even thinking about him" it's exactly the kind of text a group of high school girls would send when they're helping out a friend
And perfectly mimics how gorgug had to ask the bad kids how to message Zelda.

The more Ayda talks the more I deeply relate to her. “If people are mad at me about something that I’ve done, that’s terrifying. I can’t be in there, in the room when that happens,” hit so close to home. Immediately my favorite autistic rep in any media ever and the one I’ve been seeing myself in the most. I adore her
Long ago in the lore of Fallinel we found that there was truly just the briefest window of time where elves were not good to be around and we banished them here to Kai Lemunnura.

I love that Riz is quiet most of the episode and only starts really doing stuff in the end when they need to go into battle, and the rest of the time when he does have lines it's to point out the absolute madness of this place 😂 My boy cannot handle downtime and even just the idea of doing nothing

When I was watching the shorts I did not expect the fun "Dunking on Elves" episode to be one of the most emotionally loaded ones yet. This season is so damn good.

Man, Siobhan really gets gut-punched in this one. Waits an hour, gives DM a sweet and fun gift, gets one of the most heartbreaking moments of the campaign, back to waiting. In the following scene you can see shes distracted processing it.
"It makes me feel it wasn't something uniquely wrong with me" Such a powerful line, and among so many powerful moments Brennan has delivered, but this gives me such respect for Gilear. As sad and pitiable as he is, he shields his daughter from full knowledge of what her mother has done because it would harm their relationship. I gained so much respect for Gilear in this moment, and not a little for Fig as well in the way that she treats and has treated him

I swear the most under appreciated bit in this show is when Gorgug looks at Fig and says "It's about to get inspiring" whenever Kristen gives a speech. And then Kristen almost always makes it worse after that lmao.

Kristen-I just-kristen! How can no one see the problem!? Jawbone is her uncle and everyone is basically protecting Sandra Lynn who has a history of cheating! And she's the one who asked Jawbone to be monogamous, how can the problem not be obvious!?
I think it's just a very rough situation to be put in. There is no right answer here because either way, someone you care about gets hurt. But it doesn't matter because Kristen did tell Tracker the night that it happened, she was just too drunk to remember.
@@indieoregano I think the problem is exacerbated by kristen forgetting that themself, and fumbling over a few different excuses. Cheating is always bad. And Protecting Sandra Lyn was objectively the wrong call. But Kristen did try to do the right thing, just at the very very wrong time.
I think that a good response would have been, “I was worried about your reaction and how it would make you feel. I never want to see you hurt and I know that sometimes I’ll have to be the bearer of bad news and I need to get better at that. We were also in a very dangerous situation where big emotions could have made our chances worse. We had enough trouble as is. And I want to hear about how this makes you feel, about how I can help.”
@@asteck113she didn’t try to protect Sandra Lynn though. She just didn’t think it was her information to share. Very different things and to be fair everyone else found out on their own it’s not like she went around telling everyone. Tracker was upset about the cheating and she was right to feel that way but taking it out on Kristen was toxic and childish

1:04:53 I like watching this moment, cause before this point Brennan plays Ayda as this sort of very wise and intelligent character (the sherlock type as he described in adventuring party) and alot of it comes from the voice he uses for her, its very formal almost like the elves in a sense? And she's still intelligent moving forward of course but at this moment he changes his voice to be less... lofty? For want of a better term, and just sort of normal, less formality in the tone but still in the verbiage of the dialogue. And as he goes on he basically retains this second voice for her from then on and i really like this one, it feels almost like a less tense version of Ayda like as she spends more time with the gang she transitions into a... more relaxed mode? I guess (not the best explanation sorry). Anyways it's cool to see how characters transform over a story like this! DnD is cool
