It’s been hectic around here since last Friday. I’m catching 6 shades of hell from Uncle Jimmy Dale at Nitrous Express about not using the full potential of the Nitrous kit on the Malibu, and Jr decides he’s had his belly full of Mustangs. This time, he pulls the trigger on a 1965 Chevy II to build into…. Well, you’ll have to wait for him to tell you his plan for it. But for now, Me and Uncle Bucko are tasked with getting it road worthy for this summer!
Tin soldiers deserve everything they’ve got coming. Jason and them guys are humble and very inspiring. You guys should subscribe to their channel, they could use it and you’ll be happy you did 🤘

It’s bout time to quit wasting money on that thing and just accept the fact that speedometers and gas gauges just aren’t meant to work in these old Chevy’s. Uncle Bucko is good, but he’s met his match with the speeder meter here! Lol 😂
GPS speedometer would solve the issue
@@benjaminholt4292 Been sitting here thinking pretty much the same thing. If he's got a smart phone, all he needs is an app and he's got a speedometer. Works for me.
GPS speedo doesn’t help the odometer issue though, which will help until the fuel gauge issue is straightened out as well. Should be a simple fix for the speedo.
@@OneBad-rk3in Actually most speed apps also have an odometer built in. As for checking the fuel, go old school and use a wooden stick and dip the tank. LOL.
I thought the truck was Vicki's, don't see her driving it much. All the things you guys fix and that speedometer and fuel gauge are your nemesis. LOL. Enjoy the video's, some of the best content on KZhead.

I love your brother Jeremy, he has the funniest expressions and he also has the Winnie the Pooh Eeore attitude, so funny 🤣. The funny comments and gloomy comedic antics are old school funny at it's best. Plus, when your stuck in the bind, he might complain or be grumpy, but he always pull through for everyone, way to go Jeremy. One more thing, he also played a big part in saving the farm on the last harvest, I'm very impressed with Jeremy, he always comes through for the ones he loves! Gota say that little Nova is one of my favorites from my younger days. Such a classic look and design. I hope Billy keeps it like it is and not chop on it and make it what it isn't. There aren't many nice ones left.
There are two spots on the output shaft where that gear for you speedo can go. Make sure someone doesn't have the inner gear clipped on the wrong one. You can be stripping the cable side gear if the depth is wrong.

I'm 53 yrs old and have always dreamed of owning a Chevy II Nova and for Billy to own one at such a young age, is just a testament of his hard work. With a little work and some elbow grease, it's going to be one helluva cruiser. Awesome buy Billy!

Get the speed hut kit. It runs off GPS and runs a factory speedometer. It's a box that has a motor that spins the cable eliminating the transmission altogether.

Well well WELL what have we HERE!? That's a nice lookin lil Chevy II! Certainly lots of toys and projects to get ready for the warm 2023 season! Had a great laugh from Jimmy Dale, that's a character right there!
Bill painless wiring (part# 60109) makes a nice little harness with a sensor to swap a 700R4 with a lockup converter into anything that is non computer controlled. It is very easy to install, and once installed your 64 would work like it came from the factory with a 700R4. It might be a nice upgrade to install for when you tow, and when Vicky drives it (improved fuel mileage).

Well I know it quite a bit different than my 67 but I can only hope watching yall mess with the 65 it helps me some with my 67. Another great one. Looking forward to some Nova videos.

Before anyone calls out ole Jimmy Dale to "make him the 'victim' of both kits", be aware that he hung around in NOLA until the split was made after the races, & then Jimmy & another fellow participant ran for a $3500 pot, & Jimmy loaded his Mustang up & headed back to Texas. Food for thought....

That old `65 Chevy ll looks very nice, but the lift tells all. Get her in the air and lets see what she`s got! I was 8 when this beauty hit the streets. Such a cool old car, waiting to see your next video with it on the lift. The guys at Tin Soldiers seem really cool and their shop is awesome. Now that`s my kind of candy store. Bill I gave Chummy my contact info to pass off to you, would like to try to help you get the speedo issue squared away in Miss Vicki’s C10, been working at a trans shop for my old man installing for over 14 years and started out with 700’s and the like. The Impala in my picture was my first car I tracked back down and bought back and found the inspiration to turn it into a twin turbo LS car after watching you and Billy and Tommy’s channels.
Good buy Billy, the little chevy2 is a cool peace to have..little work and you will have a nice summer cruiser..

That engine sounds really nice and crisp
I remember my buddy had a deuce exactly like that one in high school. His was white with weld drag lights and a 383. Biggest tire he could get on it was a set of M&H 255s. I think he went 12.80s with it which was damn fast for a street car in the mid 90s. That car was deadly on the street and beat cars a lot faster than it because for some reason it worked great on the street.

Those double or even the triple jaw drum carriers are the way to go. Our local machine shop transports there scrap in 55 gallon drums. And has a triple jaw, they welded a 1/2" G100 hook on the back rack of there pallet fork attachment for the CAT Skid steer and works perfect. Between all the scrap in the machine shop and all the drums of lubricant they sell in the parts store. And cleaning up all this NE Ohio snow and spreading salt lately. That poor Cat skid steer rarely gets a rest.
You guys went to Morning View and didn't go down the road to what Brett Kepner contends is "The longest continuous running dragstrip in the country?" If you haven't been, it's very much worth the visit. The "ole man" with the Tin Soldiers boys explained to me at the last no prep they had that the starting line ran off of a clock well onto the 1990's. A Clock! Can a guy "be late" stairing at a clock haha? The track stayed in business during the war because the track took special deliveries by plane(which is why it was built) to load onto boat by way of a underground bunker, to then be delivered up the Licking River to "Cincinnata."

Appreciate the clip of Tin Soldiers. I knew they made parts but just didn’t realize what. We are currently assembling/upgrading our 69’ Nova with a QP 9” and in need of brackets for our ladder bar/coil overs. I’ll look em up. Appears Jr might’ve found a nice little Chevy II project!

I really think Billy loves all the same type of cars most do, as an Irish fan I'm learning more about you old man a carburetors than ever, thank you! And imo, non mechanical opinion i love the chevy ll Billy bought as a starter project for even say a future grandchild!!! I know I'm just looking at it and it's a beautiful car, for its age to be not modified is what to me makes it so beautiful, even original radio and upholstery...EVEN learning and seeing the small factory and some no prep cars in it shows that they are evolving as they get more customers and a shout out from many...isn't this how all the side channels from you ,Billy racing the S 10..it's evolved into showing us how naturally you are as a family which to be honest I absolutely love the razzing each other and everyone just laughing...OHIO is a bucket list thing because of the channels and as a long time Irish fan, I never come to anyone's property's uninvited, I just see you guy driving around and all I'd want is to shake your hand and say your choice year's ago to give your boys passion for cars as parent's is what we as parent's do...routine is key for children growing up throughout teen age year's and ill always remember you asking your dad to go " zoom zoom " that's were it all started i believe, that feeling of you kids getting pushed back into the seat, my son to remembers, and I said DON'T tell mammy, only in the door , " mammy, daddy was spinning around and I was sliding across back seat " I was like " son, you told me that you wouldn't tell on me " I'm blessed like you I got my 3 children through the teenage year's and now all in there 20s and all have qualified jobs, my deal was, " if you want college, we support you, but if you want work, I only ask you get jobs that no matter where you are you find work " all took the job route, and have gone way past what I could ever wished for talking way back...ITS A BEAUTIFUL THING LOOKING BACK AT THE SOMETIMES A FAILURE BUT PUT POSITIVE SPIN ON IT AS TO NOT DETURE THEM, WELL WE KNOW THAT JUST WASN'T FOR YOU, YOU LEARNED SOMETHING AND DON'T FORGET THAT ...I ALWAYS TRY PUT POSITIVE TAKE ON THERE LEARNING ABOUT WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY WANT PHASE IN LIFE...JUST LIKE YOU....SAY HELLO TO ALL FROM ME, LOOKING FORWARD TO BILLY'S NEXT UPLOAD ON THE S10, TOMMY UP AND WALKING AROUND MUST BE NICE TO, TOMMY ITS COLD SO KEEP IT WARM...YOU KNEE I'M TALKING ABOUT NOW LOL .....
