  • This has to be one of the best summary I've seen for TAGR Especially Loved this point "Burn the boats" Cut off all paths to retreat. Do or die creates a burning obsession to do what you have to survive. When your survival is at stake the subconscious mind begins it's power and does whatever it must do to win at all cost

  • *A key misunderstanding with think and grow rich is 'burning desire'. When you desire- you want- implying you don't have. This makes burning desire seem like 'really wanting' and hence, really not having it- amplifying the resistance.* The point napoleon was making about burning desire and and 'all consuming obsession' in the first chapter was to make the point that your dominant thoughts should be of having what you want- seeing it as already yours- and letting that thought of the desire fulfilled be your dominant thought- as Barnes was with seeing himself as the partner of Edison despite the outer reality denying that. If your desire is so strong as to be a 'burning desire' then your desire is strong enough that you can commit to achieving it. It is not about wanting it bad enough, but being certain in intention enough to make a committed decision. All you need is a committed decision. Because if you are committed then you will do whatever it takes- whether that be taking massive action, pausing in inaction and allowing, seeing from a new perspective- if you are committed, you are willing to set aside the ego and do whatever is required to be the version of you to attract that reality. *And when you are in that state, when you are committed, then since you will do what ever it takes, then it is no longer a question of if you will have it, but when you will have it. You having what you want becomes a more concrete future potential- a fact in your mind. And from that state you create a new belief and activate what Neville Goddard refers to as the law of assumption- where your belief will create the fact- you are locked into the feeling of the wish fulfilled*

    • Only thing people really need to know is that God is the universe. The creation is also the creation just like how we are the "creator" of our cells and organs. And everything is consciousness. In hinduism, buddhism, and all other eastern religion, the goal is liberation or moksha going back to the source (God/Universe/Brahma). There is also the other misconception that Avatars of God is only a manifestation of God in human form, when everything about reality is a manifestation of God.

  • The ‘burning the boats’ strategy was also employed by the great military commander Tariq bin Ziad, after whom Gibraltar (from Jabal al-Tariq or Tariq’s Mountain) takes its name. Once landed he commanded that all the ships were to be burned so that every man understood that they were there to stay, so it was all or nothing.

  • I don't remember when ( a few months ago ) I came across this video for the first time. I just fell in love with it. After so many months I accidentally came across this again today. This is undoubtedly one of your best creations todate, just like the episode 2 Warren Buffet exclusive in your previous 30 day challenge video series. I had taken notes then (months ago) and I ended up taking notes today once again ( in case I missed anything earlier ). This is undoubtedly a great treasure you have created. God bless you. Sir kindly make 1 hour long videos of Think And Grow Rich, Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Smart Investor apart from such short videos. These will be considered as classics really.   • Man... I started reading this again for the umteenth time. First found it in 2006ish. Watching this now I'm remembering how much of these steps I followed when I was in my darkest place. It's mad seeing the results & being able to see things in retrospect. This book is really worth so much it's incredible. A teaching of magic for sure.

    • @@EvanCarmichael I've included the 5 ways to program the mind in my daily planner and relaised my main Goal was extreamly weak and poorly defined. So I had to redefine my goal. Which in turn resulted in me asking questions about exactly what and where I wanted to achive. A big goal or outcome is great, but I started working backwards, asking myself what would take me in the disierd direction. So you could say it's triggered a thoght, how do I get there. Then another, well I'll have to do this, but how do I get there.. and so on . Looks like you've helped finally unlocked Napoleon's key in my mind. Thanks Evan.

    • Evan, I have now found the way set my Goal was not very clear. As Mani Vaya put it in the video, "vauge". I had to find a way to improve. So after spend some time looking at various ways to set a Goal, the 'SMART', Goal would seem to force you to think hard about what you're trying achive. I was suprised just how unclear my goal was and it involved quite a bit of mulling over the various componemts making up the goal. So I have now done that from my Goal. I found this in a Google search:- SMART GOAL:- goals should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Malcolm.
