He had very tough opponent here. Nishikori before wrist surgery was great threat. That's why this slam was the greatest slam for him. no one expected this one, even rogers fan. And what's more, his draw starting from berdych (10) nishikori (5) and wawrinka, finally rafa. That was one of the most tough draw ever in his life, and he won rafa at final by overcoming his 3 defeat at the previous AO. It's sad that this roger cannot be shown again. Nothing is eternal.

Buonasera.
this is probably Federer's greatest Slam win of all time. If you ask me (and I am admittedly very biased, cuz I'm a huge Fed fan), this is perhaps the most Legendary Slam victory ever. And it almost never was. Nishikori came really close to putting a stop to that. 3-all in the second set was a huge turning point. Kei was pressing hard to get that game, and it seemed that Federer sensed it and pushed as hard as HE could as well! What a genius competitor. It would have been grim for Federer had he lost that second set.

Julhamad I think we have been spoilt by seeing so much high quality tennis from Roger over the years.
Crazy match, beautiful striking!
Roger, Rafa, Novak and Andy w/ Stan, Juan, Dominique, Marin, Ferrer, Kei and so on… Indisputably the crest of men’s tennis history.
feder is the Lion King of tennis his aura his ability to hit winners so much fun to watch
Nishikori was playing djokovic like in that match ! Return of serve and court converage were absurd
Great plalyer Nishikori! Its the first time I see him play.
I agree Nishikori is a great player but Roger is the G O A T.
@@annewalden3795 I think so to.
Buonasera.
Too beautiful forehand!Never be another Roger!
Amazing game..
He is awesome! Thank you for video
You're welcome!
this is probably Federer's greatest Slam win of all time.
Good match 👍
Being a pro-tennis fan on KZhead, I and perhaps other Kei fans wish this match was not the best tennis he ever played at the end of his career. I must admit that this match with Federer got Kei Nishikori’s finest out of him. What a mind game as well as skills of these players.
wow my all time legend
show me more Nishikori's good points.
I was at this match!
もう凄すぎる‼️Federer was on fire🔥Nishikori, too!!! Que grande Federer!!!
Nishikori es un gran devolvedor
I miss him :(
The final he played against Rafa was the best I ever seen his backhand working It was unplayable This was a huge tournament win in Rogers career Coming back as 17th seed after injury He also went on to win the sunshine double Miami and Indian Wells a few months later
Health Federer with a bigger racquet means unstoppable. 2017 Federer was health and dominant the season. Wish he changed racquet sooner
That backhand at 28:57... 👌
Wow wow 🤩
A fantastic match, I love this Roger. And NOT ONE MOAN grunt or shout. This was actual tennis. Today it's more of a yodeling contest ffs
the best form of roger federer
And Kei’s, too.
Any idea what happened to Nishikori? Has he retired or injured. Such a great player and haven’t seen him for quite some time now😢
@churitu7Injuries take longer to heal as you get older .
Top drawer rf match 🖖
Superb game...
Most Iconic tournament for roger.. A 35 Yr old coming after a 6 month long injury break beating berdych, nishikori, stan, rafa( who was 23-11 in h2h against roger) and on top of that played 3 five setters and 1 4 setter en route to his title.. That's the TRUE DEFINITION OF STRONG ERA PLAYER... Not like the fake strong era players we see now who is battling against 0 time GS champions and grabbing slams in the FREE SLAM ERA
37*
@@fabiogurgel1 no he was exactly 35.5...roger was born on 1981

Kei played brilliantly, as did Federer ~ absolutely agree with the comments here... it was exciting tennis -- not like in 2023 where besides Andy Murray the dullness was zzzzzzz (i'm already sleeping)
2017 was the year of Federer's winning backhand; for some reason probably related to his body, he wasnt able to sustain that backhand after that year. And it reverted to more slices or a more defensive backhand.
Western GOAT vs Eastern GOAT
2:55 absolutely beautiful
I feel like a part of me died when this man retired...
This Match..
I'll be curious to know how many love games did Federer have in his professional career!!!
Federare for bravo ❤
Start of 2017 after he knee surgery 6 months before. This is the match where Roger remembered who he was. Big fight from Kei. I wish he was still competing in the top flight.
Who counted the aces they were uncountable
when ur opponent plays a shot like 2:45, you know it's federer, unstoppable.
It is pleasant to watch Federer. Most of all his behaviour by a play - his calmness. But also Nishikori plays very well.
Delpotro vs Federer Shanghai 2017 plz
I have already tried to upload it but without success, you can find it here: mega.nz/file/4IFhgSIQ#QrFtn41jlp7I8HtsdXYo5VSyFDUP4FrqOFxMfpo1ghs ;)
Federer had such a GREAT Chance to Show that he can Beat Djokovic even as an Old man in 2019 Wimbledon...Outplayed Djoko in Match...2 MATCH Points on his Raquet...But his NERVES completely took over his entire Body and Mind to the Point where he looked CRIPPLED during those 2 Routine balls on Match Point...As a HUGE Fed fan that Loss was a Disaster
It’s easy to be upset with Federer if you think about those losses..
Yes he could have one it but u also can’t discredit Novak, he wasn’t even playing at 50% in that match yet came out on top 🤷♂️
Australian Open 2017 tomas berdych with english commentary please
Added to the list. ;)

I don't know when, but i will definitely do it Dean. ;)
All the aces in his carreer Roger made them in this game? May be yes... however this is tennis at his top level.

I like of watch tennis.
The result is pretty deceiving: Federer absolutely destroyed Nishikori
Federer veio da é aula de Tênis 🎾
No victims only fighters
What if Fed wins the next Grand slam?...and the next one....and the next one...and the next one....and...🤔🤔🤔🤔
this was an interesting match... despite it being a 5 setter, I never felt Roger was in any significant danger the entire time
@24:25 WHAT A WINNER!
Nishikori is so good too bad during his prime he had the big three...
6:25
Asian no 1
Nishi's clinic
mr shot blocker
