It would've been cool to see how much darker Peter would've gotten, but I think we have a pretty solid idea based on how the suit manifested on Harry soon after. The way they wrote the suit's influence in this game was amazing. It was a slow development that lead to a lot of character exposition. This game series is genius.

I was just thinking they could tie the flame side mission into the main story. So when Peter gets the black suit, you can do another flame mission and then that’ll just add even more time it’s Pete in the black suit and then it’ll show how the dynamic between Yuri and Peter has shifted

Honestly, the wackiest part of all this is Peter not even offering to help Norman find the cure. He's proven he can do genetic research, he did it with the plants in this game, and cured the Lizard twice. If he really cared, and wanted to keep the symbiote, he would have at least offered help.

The whole arc was a mess. True peter can get angry with the symbiote but with only 3 days of it.. he would sure want to help norman or something else. I don’t know, that game has a lot of cool elements that were made great but lacks development to tie those elements into something even better Spiderman1 has less elements on the story but they took their time to develop them all

I love how his personality change was gradual. In most adaptaions he goes 0-100 in an instant. But here, he starts out fine at first. Then je becomes extremely selfish and passive aggressive. Then he starts saying out of pocket things. Then finally its just full blown aggression

But it isn’t gradual since pre symbiote Peter isn’t actually angry or upset or shows any other emotion besides happy and optimistic. He just rapidly changes into angry Peter cause of the suit and everyone knows it. These lines are cool, but are out of place cause Peter will never act like this. Maybe if he was upset about emf being blown up or mortgage or miles being stronger, but nah.

Was more to change that setup around this time with Miles. Which made things new and fresh for all the characters involved. For Peter never truly rejected it afterwards, Venom therefore still believed they could turn him, and Miles was one Venom blamed for freeing Pete.

I personally feel like we got a good idea of how dark and angry Peter would get. When it’s later in the story and he has the suit they put in little changes. Like how when Pete would get a random crime event with Miles, he wouldn’t say anything to Miles or even be given the option to interact with him anymore after. And of course when he ran into criminals like the Followers of the Flame, his dialogue was pissed rather than quippy. I get the curiosity of seeing how dark he can get of course, just feel like we should also acknowledge what we got that’s all.

Oooo. This could actually be a solution for the short time in the symbiote arc for Peter. Add in a ton of missions to do in the open world (varied and fun designs). You don’t really get much cutscenes but what you do get is voice lines that develop this part of the story more. For example, as you do more missions, he’s still getting calls from people he knows but starts to not pick up, and you see this. It also fits with the narrative, as to progress, you would have to actively do Spider-Man things. And in this story, the symbiote is trying to make him a better ‘Spider-Man’.

I played the game on every difficulty and I heard this dialogue every time. If you get too close to Norman's apartment building during Harry's phone message then Peter won't say the "I wonder if Harry really needs the suit" line and the following dialogue. But if you don't get too close to it you should hear this dialogue every time.

I feel like they should've taken a piece from the comics and make special missions during night time where you play as peter sleeping while the suit is controlling him, that would make so MJ's article would hit harder and make more sense too. And maybe as those missions happen spiderman gets more and more aggressive and it ends with the hunter's showing up at his house and that MJ chase scene. The symbiote was used amazingly in the gameplay but the story lacked a little in comparison

The scariest thing about this is if you clearly see the suit on Peter as he’s making his dialogue and Harry’s talking to him, you’ll notice that he looks much more jagged and has more veins bulging out (which is exactly how he looks like when he’s in the symbiote surge mode and during his fight with Kraven and Miles…)

It would've been cool to see how much darker Peter would've gotten, but I think we have a pretty solid idea based on how the suit manifested on Harry soon after. The way they wrote the suit's influence in this game was amazing. It was a slow development that lead to a lot of character exposition. This game series is genius.

It wasn’t amazing because they barely fleshed it out. You only start seeing the major signs of it once your in like the final stretch of being black suit peter. The other hours he was basically himself still, the signs were THERE but they could have been done more apparent and been better done

I was just thinking they could tie the flame side mission into the main story. So when Peter gets the black suit, you can do another flame mission and then that’ll just add even more time it’s Pete in the black suit and then it’ll show how the dynamic between Yuri and Peter has shifted
Honestly, the wackiest part of all this is Peter not even offering to help Norman find the cure. He's proven he can do genetic research, he did it with the plants in this game, and cured the Lizard twice. If he really cared, and wanted to keep the symbiote, he would have at least offered help.
The whole arc was a mess. True peter can get angry with the symbiote but with only 3 days of it.. he would sure want to help norman or something else. I don’t know, that game has a lot of cool elements that were made great but lacks development to tie those elements into something even better Spiderman1 has less elements on the story but they took their time to develop them all

I love how his personality change was gradual. In most adaptaions he goes 0-100 in an instant. But here, he starts out fine at first. Then je becomes extremely selfish and passive aggressive. Then he starts saying out of pocket things. Then finally its just full blown aggression
But it isn’t gradual since pre symbiote Peter isn’t actually angry or upset or shows any other emotion besides happy and optimistic. He just rapidly changes into angry Peter cause of the suit and everyone knows it. These lines are cool, but are out of place cause Peter will never act like this. Maybe if he was upset about emf being blown up or mortgage or miles being stronger, but nah.

I think we got the right amount of time with the suit. The appeal of the symbiote storyline is Peter overcoming his struggle before it's too late
Was more to change that setup around this time with Miles. Which made things new and fresh for all the characters involved. For Peter never truly rejected it afterwards, Venom therefore still believed they could turn him, and Miles was one Venom blamed for freeing Pete.
Unfortunately the Anti-venom suit defeats the whole "Peter doesn't need the symbiote" when he clearly did.

Platinumed this in 19 hours and played for another 2 totaling a 21 hours of playtime and I was taking my time on spectacular difficulty. The dialogue is nothing new either.

Yes we should’ve seen him kill someone, to make the darkness hit home. Or even better maybe Peter should’ve turned into Venom, that would’ve subverted expectations and been a completely original story in other media aside from comics since Spiders Shadow by Chip Zdarsky is the only one where Peter fully bonds with the symbiote and becomes Venom of sorts
I think peter actually DID kill someone in the game, the hunter he threw when he was in his "Sleep fury" segment or whatever. Sounded like something broke, and with the way the hunter landed, probably the back or the neck. That's my theory tho.

I personally feel like we got a good idea of how dark and angry Peter would get. When it’s later in the story and he has the suit they put in little changes. Like how when Pete would get a random crime event with Miles, he wouldn’t say anything to Miles or even be given the option to interact with him anymore after. And of course when he ran into criminals like the Followers of the Flame, his dialogue was pissed rather than quippy. I get the curiosity of seeing how dark he can get of course, just feel like we should also acknowledge what we got that’s all.

Oooo. This could actually be a solution for the short time in the symbiote arc for Peter. Add in a ton of missions to do in the open world (varied and fun designs). You don’t really get much cutscenes but what you do get is voice lines that develop this part of the story more. For example, as you do more missions, he’s still getting calls from people he knows but starts to not pick up, and you see this. It also fits with the narrative, as to progress, you would have to actively do Spider-Man things. And in this story, the symbiote is trying to make him a better ‘Spider-Man’.
I really wanted Peter to be Venom in this game, imagine if all this drama and build up went to that idea (still love this game to death tho)

I played the game on every difficulty and I heard this dialogue every time. If you get too close to Norman's apartment building during Harry's phone message then Peter won't say the "I wonder if Harry really needs the suit" line and the following dialogue. But if you don't get too close to it you should hear this dialogue every time.

I feel like they should've taken a piece from the comics and make special missions during night time where you play as peter sleeping while the suit is controlling him, that would make so MJ's article would hit harder and make more sense too. And maybe as those missions happen spiderman gets more and more aggressive and it ends with the hunter's showing up at his house and that MJ chase scene. The symbiote was used amazingly in the gameplay but the story lacked a little in comparison

This is standard dialogue. I heard this dialogue the first time, and I was only 10 hours into the game so it either glitched out on you or you didn’t remember hearing it from your previous runs (if you made any).
