I don't get why there is such controversy over this song. A 21-year old female singing about what we ALL do, unless you are a total nerd still living in yo momma's basement. But even still, they look at porn. Also, you ever thought that maybe the lyrics aren't supposed to be taken at face-value? Sure, sex is undeniably a part of the song, but that's not the whole take-home message. I know it's harder for some than others to think outside the box.

- It doesn't have to though, I can honestly say that my parents always told me not to look to famous people as an influence or as role models because I don't know them personally. The media is for entertainment, not teaching life lessons. There are other genres of music and artists for children to listen to. And if they're old enough to understand what half of this song is even saying (most of it would take some deeper understanding since it isn't explicit), they shouldn't be so easily swayed anyway. So again, people should just stop expecting the media to do things its not responsible for.

There's thousands of "inappropriate songs about sex" out there, but this song gets hate, I'm not a fan of Ariana but I still think this is unfair to her. She's growing up, she needs to change at one point, and if little kids are listening to her music, their parents can easily delete the songs and give them a different genre to listen to. The kids would find out about sex when they get to fifth grade anyway, and all kids know better than to go off and fuck their friends. Ariana can write what she pleases, it's her lyrics, not yours' or the kids'. Her teen fans now are mature enough to understand that her songs are not about "one night stands" and stuff and as simple as this: if their point of view is not how ariana wants them to see the song, and if it really bothers them, they can find another music group to listen to, because obviously Ariana is just not for them. You're not gonna like everything in life, so why bother wasting your time expressing your feelings that will never change and hate on those who can't meet your standards. Opinions are a waste unless you are respectful, helpful, or just invited to share it. do the world a favor.
