Classic Africa. His entire discourse was a web of partial truths, deflection of blame and fabrications. As a guy who has mined in Africa for over 5 years of my 33 year career I'll give you my counterpoints. 1. The Chinese mining companies that bribed the Congolese Govt to allow them to pick up mining claims that were being competed for by western, responsible mining companies, are vastly outproducing any illegal mines run by Rwandans. The Chinese have ZERO respect for the environment when mining in countries where they know they can get away with it. 2. The Congolese army was incapable of dealing with the Rwandan militias and massive levels of war crimes were committed against civilians by both sides. The UN went in to settle that down, but now, the Congolese have asked the UN to leave their country so they are back to square one. 3. The DRC is probably the richest nation in Africa in terms of mineral resources. Despite that fact, you cannot drive from the west side to the east during the rainy season, and only the hardiest vehicles will make it in the dry season. Years of absolute corruption have pummeled what should be one of the most affluent African nations and it remains "deepest, darkest Africa." So the President should have said, "Well we took the gifts from the Chinese to allow them to mine this stuff, and then we had problems with Rwandan militias entering our country. Because we don't have good infrastructure, our army was unable to prevent these incursions and now they are mining our minerals illegally. We kicked the UN out because we were given 'gifts' from Rwandan Oligarchs, so here we are...The blood of Congolese is on Western cellphone owners' hands.
Much needed context
Many of cellphone companies in China are for Europians and Americans. Go deep into the matter you will understand. Why Apple and other companies are operating in China? It's because of cheap manpower. why there are no road infrastructures in DRC? it's for illicit transport via Rwanda. The UN mission you're talking about has been there for 25 years. What did they do? They are there to make sure that the chaos prevails, not to solve it. All women being raped there face all those problems in the presence of UN forces.

There are over 10 different militia groups and over 5 different national armies each after specific militia group, it's total chaos in eastern Congo. A place that has been neglected for years from the rest of DRC

Seeing a small country as Rwanda with less GDP of 1/7 of DRC as a problems sounds like evading responsibilities as a president. Let's not forget that as some point that DRC accused Rwanda of stealing Gorillas. DRC Government practically gave mining licenses to European, American and Chinese firms to mine in drc legally for less than the minerals are worth. But somehow Rwanda is the problem that the minerals they have don't have importance to them.
When these minerals are mined are transported throughout the continents in form of road transportation. Rwanda happens to have boards with DRCs so figures that some minerals end up crossing Rwanda's land boarders to the east coast (Indian oceans to china) Rwanda is just a transit.

In terms of widening, congo is far bigger and more populated than Rwanda, for example, the population of Kinshasa passes the Rwandwa’s population. It’s very ashamed for DRC to complain about Rwanda’s aggression . It is like Russia to complain about Ukrain aggressions . Felix should stand on his feet and galvanize his nation to fight back this small and poor country. It’s proven that Félix and his government are all corrupt thus don’t care about the national integrity. He deserve same treatment as Kagame. It’s unthinkable that Congo should always cry about Rwandan aggression. With a responsible leader , Congo can conquer Rwanda in one day. Every time the army is about to get their hands on these rebels, you realize that they have had outside help. These rebels have the latest generation of weapons. Who delivers these weapons to their rebels? Because you think you are intelligent and you want to lecture us here to show people how the Big Congo can complain about the aggression from the little Rwanda, well, how long has Big Russia been at war with Little Ukraine, and why it has been resisting for more than 2 years? This is why I don't find it wrong to raise awareness among the large international community, just a bit like the case of Palestine and Israel, where the latter (Israel) was playing the victim for far too long.
