For years I have been searching for courses and speeches that teach about index futures trading and this is the only one i found. I couldn't believe a trader at that level will share so much about his trading. This is indeed a wonderful speech! Thank you Tom for your selflessness of sharing! Sincerely appreciate.
Hi Stanley, Thank you so much for your kind words. Great you found the channel.
I don't think people realize just how much alpha he is giving away in this presentation.
Boss mentality. This has connected right with my core.
Great to hear 🙏
Amazing speech, I could listen to more of this the entire day. I really enjoy this very unique look on the market, based on statistics and so forth. Humans are lazy, and always tend to do things the easiest way, therefore patterns in our behavior and mind must occur. Please keep doing these amazing videos, Tom :)
Hi Kegalee, Thank you so much for the kind words. More quality content on its way. In the meantime did you watch the other videos on the Mindset playlist? kzhead.info/channel/PLTIUSbN_V17W-c4gClZkfvnVT1bMDy5k6.html
This is all you need to become successful. Listen and absorb.
Great content. Thank you Tom. I would love to see more detailed content on ‘scenario’ analysis for the Dow but also for Nasdaq and FTSE/Dax too. I have been following Tom for years and can really see how he has become so much more sophisticated.
Hello Kaisar Ayoubi, Thank you for your comment. Great to hear you have been following Tom for years. When you say scenario - do you mean Thursday, Friday Monday or 72 weeks cycle scenario? If you 72 weeks cycle. you can find more in the video belove. kzhead.info/sun/lNyag5dqjWp6fas/bejne.html
Thank you for this great lesson.
Thank you.
great vedio thankz tom
Amazing content. Be fearless, disciplined and know yourself.
Thank you 🙏
only 1/3rd came to see Part 2/2 ...it says something about the crowds again !
Hi vicky, you really got a point. Makes one thing about why only 10-15% is profitable traders.
Scenario analysis is the game i have learned from Tom Hougaard. This is an edge (!)
Hopefully, you also learned a little about traders mindset 😉
thanks for the wonderful eyeopener..i have been analyzing a lot on my mistakes and i got no answers...but your emphasis on when to be fearful and when to be hopeful has given me my answer...and its such a pity that the talk has got so less views, i feel lucky to have come across this video when i truly needed answers
Hello addikted2addiktion , Thank you so much for your kind words. Luckily Tom makes his money from trading. Not on youtube marketing or selling a lot of stuff. Tom enjoys "Pay it Forward". And if you can just earn one more point per day or lose one point less per day this channel is a success. We do put some time into it and of course, we would like to share it with more people. So feel free to share the channel with your trading friends.
@@MindsetMojoHacks positively i will be sharing this video to my fellow traders, but i believe to accept Toms views one needs real guts as first one has to declutter his/her mind from the years of brainwashing and overemphasis about setups, indicators,Technical analysis, algos etc...anyways its a personal journey and thanks for the reply it did motivate.
@@addikted2addiktion you are right. What Tom does isn't for everyone. One needs to build up some self believe first. Regarding the indicators, if you have 15 min to spare I think you might enjoy this video. kzhead.info/sun/ibmjp6hpj4yHpas/bejne.html And if you go to Tom website tradertom.com - you can download a free copy of one of his books. Link in the top center.
This lecture helped me a lot with just calming down, i kept buying the local lows and selling at 4% profit, just to watch my investment hit 10% later in the day.
That is GREAT to hear.
New to trading. And this was very insightful. Thank you!
You are welcome 👍
That color detecting game in the end was amazing!!! I also got confused 😵 seeing those.
It's funny I've seen that live on stage several times. And to be honest I still fall for it.
Brilliant
ÓTIMO CONTEÚDO!
Fantastic stuff. thank you
You are welcome.
When he says that by the 13th bar there is a 70% chance of having seen de H or L, does it means that the trend is already formed and will continue or that has peaked and will change direction? Anyone? Kind of a silly question? Thanks!
thank you tom really helpful
You are welcome. Perhaps the London 2019 talk could be worth your time as well: kzhead.info/sun/ot6af6Wtp4Brkok/bejne.html
Thank you so much. 🙂 ❤️
You are welcome. Did you hear the talk from 2019? kzhead.info/sun/ot6af6Wtp4Brkok/bejne.html
Er ikke selv daytrader.. Men nøj du kan inspirere og give stof til eftertanke ved næste handel !.. KÆMPE tak for en helt igennem mindblowing præsentation ! :)

On 27th Mar 2024, Tom couldnt make it live for London session... so here I am. :_(
The perfect trading speech doesn’t exi….
Who said it was the "perfect" speech?....
Do you have "Thinking in Scenarios" session uploaded mentioned at timestamp: 12:00 min? You mentioned you will hold a web seminar in a week or so. These are great lessons and thanks for sharing.
We already have a lot of videos including Scenarios on the channel. You just need to go hunt for the info.
You are legend sir
Thank you so much Mehedii. Did you subscribe to the channel so you don't miss the next uploads?
Hi is there a book or video showing more of how Tom trades the Dow Jones? Thanks in advance. Greatest content on KZhead.
no biased, smart ppl do with their problems
Buying Futures in Toilet paper - love it! The irony... everybody is doing it now with the corona outbreak. Great content as ever Tom - Tks! (I have a photo in my archive of Northern Rock signage on the floor outside a London branch as thy were being taken down post bank closure - took the photo because i thought it was quite poignant/historic)
Thank you Marco :-)
Cheers although it's MACRO! no worries lots of people make this error on YT with my channel name - it's the mind wanting to see patterns automatically.. we all do it reading books and signs! I only have one vid on my channel - a 52 min talk I gave in London in 2013 if anybody is interested (on Fracatal markets, patterns etc) kzhead.info/sun/iLWtfb6OloVpgqs/bejne.html All the best, Simon
and twitter feed twitter.com/MacroVIGILANCE for some interesting market graphics! (some great Bitcoin commentary back in December 2017 as it was peaking near 20K)
Tak for et rigtig godt og spændende foredrag! Du ligger vel også short til på mandag så? Og kommer resten af foredraget op? Jeg mindes, at du i pt 1 nævnte, at der var omkring 157-8 slides.
Hi Kasper, Thank you for your kind words. Tom Is flat over the weekend in the Telegram Group. But you know Tom :-). You can find part 1 of the London talk here: kzhead.info/sun/o6iJppSjaH1tlYE/bejne.html Tom also did an interview which should be up tomorrow.
Gratulalok aszonoki beszededhez mindenk meg irigyelhetiEs Nem beszel melle csk az igazat csak is az igazat adja elo,,,
liqudity risk, consistency, let it come to you. no forcing . rather not trade than chase.. don’t chase the butterfly. capital buying power liquidity. but i finally learned .. but it is capital which i could use for more plays and do amazing risk, but i have liqudity issues just make this harder..
All the nurses I’ve talked to say the ER is busiest on full moons and the people are usually crazier than normal
Doesn’t al brooks have thousands of scenario moments in his brooks of encyclopedia patterns. What can happen when we gap up gap down etc
Glæder mig allerede :)
Hi Søren - more to look forward to on its way.
I’ve been struggling to face my fear. I’ve been trading on a SIM for a almost 1yr. I’ve been keeping pics of my sim trading for the last 90days or so, mostly profitable, but when I go to trade w real $ I get so fearful. Any tips on how I can face this fear, Tom? Any routine you’ve followed in order to become ruthless when trading?
Good question. Unless you are training on a new platform I would always trade on a live account. Else you will miss out on one of the most important issues. Do you take all your setups? How do you act/react when you have an open position? Try to trade as small size as possible. Do you trade the right product? Ie. Sp500 is "cheaper" to trade than Dow.
@@MindsetMojoHacks Oh wow, I was waiting to get a notification that you responded, and your response has been here this whole time. Thank you so much, Tom! And sorry for MY late reply. I’ve been trading small cap stocks (which is the strategy I learned). And by reading your book I found out that I was trading just like the 90% (not adding to winners, not cutting the losers, over trading, not following my rules, etc). BUT after reading your book (and I continue to do so, it’s sort of my “bible” now) I feel my mind is shifting, Tom. I’m understanding and respecting more and more, the psychology behind trading. My approach today has been 3 things: 1) to practice sitting on my hands (I thought trading was all about pressing buy & sell back to back, and your book taught me otherwise), 2) being selective (go only for the obvious ones, that fit my criteria, and never mind the rest), and also which I think is very important, 3) to trade correctly when it’s time to trade (now THIS has been the most difficult part for me so far, trade the setups as soon as I stablished my entry point; here’s where I always fell back, hesitated). Would you say those 3 things are essential parts of trading to continue to work on, Tom? Anything else you would add on this list? How would you approach the #3 issue (hesitating when is time to press the button)? And also, on your response you said “miss out on one of the most important issues”, what do you mean by that? Thanks again for responding to me, Tom. You’re so kind! 🤗❤

My Notes: See notes on Part #1
will try to locate it in the weekend
@@MindsetMojoHacks Hey Lennie- I viewed all 3 parts of this talk and took notes on it. My comment above was just a note for me look back at part #1 for my summary notes of Tom's talk.
@@472BB Thank Bryan, You seem very dedicated. I'm not sure if you watched Tom's Kyiv talk. I tell you to have to stomach annoying translation. But Tom mentions a few things in this talk that he mention very rarely. Have a nice weekend. kzhead.info/sun/h9RrdrSvp514aGg/bejne.html
I think it is a total disgrace that there is no correlation between the SP500 and the tide of the Hudson river. The disrespect!
You're thr kobe bryan of trading. Kobe would learn what the players eat, how they hold the ball, etc to get a tiny advantage edge on them. You are no different
Are you a diff animal but the same beast?
