I remember in the middle of covid, Miley Cyrus started to make her own "instagram show" where she was live everyday. She had a housetour, and ever since then i just love her style. Kim Kardashian have a big mansion, but in my eyes there's no personality there from what i have seen. But in Miley's house, there's books, art, music instruments, all kind of color. It's just her! Shes always been so energetic. Her couch are in so many different colors.

The "peep hole" you described to be able to move food from the kitchen to dinning room is called a "pass through" to literally be able to pass the food/dishes thru to the other room.used to be popular in mid century+ era homes before open plan became a thing. As to practically, i think it depends very much on your lifestyle, a closed off/separate kitchen and dining room has the benefit of hiding the mess in the kitchen and reducing kitchen smells in the rest of the house ves open plan being able to still be part of the conversation/ family when in the kitchen. I think a pass through has the downsides of both the closed off and open plan kitchen/dining room combos as you still aren't part of the party/family in the kitchen (imagine trying to have a conversation thru the "hatch" whilst cooking with stuff boiling/frying etc, the extractor fan on etc) and also kitchen smells & a "window" to still view the mess. Personally I think you need to decide whether you care about the mess/smells or want to be included/part of the family/party as you can't have both. My boomer mother is a fan of the closed off kitchen, appearances matter to her despite her not enjoying being cut off from others during festivities. Personally i (millennial) prefer open plan style, if were having a dinner, its obvious food was cooked! Im not going to all that effort just to be stuck in the kitchen by myself! However I live in an apartment, the living and dining room are 1 room which the kitchen is off of, however the door is always open to allow conversation but id prefer a fully open plan layout but i don't think it's allowed for fire safety reasons in apartments.
It’s interesting isn’t it! I probably prefer all open plan, but our house is separated by rooms and it’s handy for noise and with the dogs :) I think it’s more practical because it also means you can trap warmth or cool air in certain areas/ mop and close the doors etc ! benefits to both!
This build matches the homes in my neighborhood IRL. I live in a part of LA that has a lot of mid century builds that have been modernized. & of course, all the palm trees are very much Cali lol.

I think of coherent as sounding like it has "hear" in it so it's about being heard correctly. Cohesive sounds a bit like adhesive, so it's about things "sticking" together so they have to go together 😁

I love the design of the build!! I wanted to let you know that I wish we had a square shelf in the Sims, not a cupboard, but just the shelf for the corners that way we can make a 1 x 1 closet or layer the shelves and the cabinets in rooms for more space to put nic nacks. You can also put the square shelves between half walls and make little makeshift cabinets.

The need to make basin style sinks that can be attached to counters, or floating style ones that are like shelves that attach to the wall and "float" there.
i used to live where we had an opening in the wall between the kitchen and dining area - we called it a 'pass through' because you could pass food/dishes/etc through the opening. :)
