Harder music, harder drill, harder guard work and all these kids have earned being one of the top bands in the nation. I’m SUPER PROUD of them all especially my senior guard captain who has had a phenomenal run these four years with this band program. How blessed we are to have her be a part of it and it shape her into the amazing young woman she is. I love you, Mycca, and all my other guard babies! All in all the time! Absolutely LOVE Hebron and we look forward to seeing them each and every year. Fact is any of these bands can hit the mark on any given day and results for BOA, UIL, etc. are subjective judging. What we all know being Texas band families is that all of these kids competing worked their tails off and gave us all spectacular show after show after show. Hebron is super. They always bring the best and all of us in Texas are blessed when we get to finally enjoy the Hebron performances. Great win in BOA Super Regional Saturday and well deserved. As for State UIL....any of the 6A Medals are tremendous accomplishments. Even making State and then Finals. Long after any medals of any placement are in sock drawers years and years from now...our kids will remember their hard work, their band team, the friends they made from other bands, and that their families and friends were in the stands each and every time. Will say that I personally LOVE the Hebron uniforms and plumes. Just so sharp and they are my most favorite of any I have seen in Texas and at BOA Nationals! Hebron did not lose this week. They always win in my opinion because they touch and inspire so many. Hardware is secondary at best...would argue tertiary. Be very, very, very proud of your Hebron kiddos. We are all the time! For you football fans, its like practicing only one play every single practice :) With that being said, I think 4 bands march in formation for majority of their program and not just jump on and off props. Hebron, Vandegrift, Woodlands and Flower Mound. I think Flower Mound and Woodlands have the most entertaining programs but Vandegrift nailed their formations. Their lines and diagonals were crazy. Now all the bands were sick, some more than others, and they all had gaps. The right team won because they nailed their performance when it counted. Just my humble opinion.

Personally I think Hebron should've gotten first place at state, not only that but if they would've gone to BOA Grand Nationals they probably would've gotten first too, they kicked serious butt this year and last year too and in my opinion are the best band in the entire country for two years straight at least (I haven't seen many of this bands shows). However, the fact that a band got first over Hebron just goes to show how tough Texas mb competition is, I'm from Indiana so I have to compete with Carmel and Avon (top two bands at Grand Nationals this year) but Texas is just on another level.

Last year they were tied with one other band just because their shows were so different it’s hard to compare yet clearly we’re on an insane level. But this year they took the cake. its hebron lol
I wonder if the alto trombone soloist knew that every band kid in the world would wish they were him
Very impressive.
what is the somg at 4:26? Sounds so familiar but i cant figure it out
Southwest’s “Vagabond” in Pharr had that part as one of their movements. That small excerpt is called Ecstasy of Gold.
Rocket to the moon by thomas bergerson
Anyone know the song at the beginning for the opener (not the first movement)
Come Sail Away by Styx
What's the song with the amazing trombone solo
After the love has gone by earth wind and fire
Those horns at 5:00 are crazy!!!!!
Every band in Texas crying rn
I just competed in the california state championships and cali doesnt even have 6a, thats crazy
5:50 is just so beautiful. I don’t know how a trombone sounds like but it’s amazing
It’s an alto trombone, a higher pitched trombone
They didn't really get second they tied for 1st and there was a really silly tie breaker rule that put them in "second"
Can anyone give insights into what separates this band from the pack by such a long shot? What do they do differently?
Starts with the middle school directors and private lesson teachers, ends with Mr. Sealy (the head director). It’s an all encompassing program starting from 6th grade to 12th. Mr.Sealy includes the middle schoolers so the kids are invested early on.
@@michellem.1160 I figured they had some sort of pipeline like that, what an incredible achievement, this group is so remarkably consistent
5:50
3:40 Why does this sound like a shanty in my favourite key?
I can’t believe they got 2nd place
Who got first?
@@josuea2141 vandegrift?
@@Bubbles-gn8tb yes
Stood right next to them during the awards and they were pretty sad. Second is still insane tho!
@@josuea2141 vandegrift
Tied for 1st and to lose by 2 judges is crazy
Was it the drum judge by chance
@@dak.2 no it was actually brass believe it or not
Well......they beat the Woodlands by 00.25 points in BOA....did not hear HHS say they wuped on TWHS>

HIGH SCHOOL
2:39 how do they do this coreo? Are there visual cues or smth
They gave us which counts to lunge depending on which yardlines we were between
4:15 Girl in the audience screaming a double G
She’s a little flat
this is absolutely the greatest high school marching band show i’ve ever seen! i don’t understand how they got second at uil. in my opinion, they obliterated the competition there
It's astonishing once you realize they had to jazz run BACKWARDS for a few seconds during this show.
This looks like DCI finals
No literally this ain't no HIGH SCHOOL😂
Bro and my band instructor says that were really good🤣🤣
I refuse to believe these are high schoolers who practice this between math science history and English classes
why can't our school sound like this I stg, I mean I know I'm 4a but still we don't have enough BRASS
what school
I'm also 4A in east Texas. We don't have any woodwind sound, only low brass carries, like it should
Anyone know the songs they played?
Dawn fm by the weeknd Cannon in d minor by thomas bergerson Rocket to the moon by thomas bergerson After the love has gone by earth wind and fire Presto by vivaldi Come sail away by styx
If I got the chance I would abandon my school to join that marching band 😱
double tongue was a little dirty on finals run
I know I didn’t just see take the woodwinds out and it could be a DCI show like woodwinds solo every feature they have
penstriped was better ngl but this is better than Vandegrift
Robbed 💔
“Tubas you’re slow” “WHAT?”
VHS has bigger sound.....
Vista Ridge won music
loud ≠ good all the time also it's totally not like vandy has a lot more ppl marching
Not when I was there lol
vandy won mainly because they had better visuals
