The search for a new Maple Leafs head coach is officially on and while there are plenty of capable candidates, waiting too long could prove to be disastrous for Toronto. What's the sense of urgency like for the organization to find a coach? What message can we expect from Friday's media availability with team management? TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger discusses.
Changing the coach will not fix the problems that ail the Buds,changing players is also needed.They are not big enough nor tough enough on the forward lines,plus better defence and more stable goal tending is needed.

This is his last year of contract is why, easier to get rid of and replace the coach, then GM then coach again. All due to contracts. Shannys has one year to win a cup or even make it to the finals. Taveras and marner and Reilly I think are all on the chopping block within the year also.

Leafs desperately need Saros in net 🥅 once they hire a head coach. Maple Laughs are in a real mess they need every position basically especially goaltending & 2 star dman this will therefore help eliminate goal against. They also need better goal scorers more than Domi & Bertuzzi they are just alright but they need way better than them. Depth & bottom six is always awful on the Leafs.
The Leafs are owned by corporations that put DEI ahead of winning! They are ALL about fairness, kindness, no pressure they put feelings ahead of WINNING! This needs to change, you can never beat teams that only care about winning with this woke culture. The Leafs need a culture change! All about toughness, competitiveness, and winning every battle.

Quenneville hasn’t even been given the “okay” to return to coaching by the league. Leafs can’t be looking at a non-option.

Berube is overrated coach like Keefe. If Berube is so good how come he hasn’t had a coaching job so long? 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

@@user-sn8sw2vi8z he may not be able to save them, but Berube is a good coach. And also why would he have a job right now? He’s not likely to coach a team in a rebuild and none of the good teams fired their coaches recently enough for him to be an option to jump in.
