Kinda like cyberpunk, but instead of combining various digital and cybernetic components in a haphazard way to create a punk aesthetic, it's the combination of analog and PCB elements in a punk way. I love it!

    • I think the Cyberpunk genre does cover jank but functional approach to technology like this. Technology is so prevalent and often discarded every aspiring techie can weld together junk to do whatever they want. They way James did it, with pliers, hot glue and duct tape, is very reminiscent of how William Gibson described the Rastafarian space station and the the Finn's tech in Neuromancer.

  • I see that you've taken a lot of inspiration or got some guidance from Wade. The camera looking down on a table with hands doing most of the talking, the random pet interlude at the end of the video, and you've even got the SNES equivalent to the ShrekPod. Feels a little empty without music but I'd say you got something going here!

  • I usually watch people who mod consoles and stuff and they're super meticulous about making it clean and stuff, but how you were cutting PCB's and ripping stuff off the board caught me so off guard it made me laugh pretty hard. Awesome job!
