In all my years being a spurs fan, since ‘97, Jeremy is a pop player like the ones before. This kid is going to be ridiculous, he just needs to stay healthy. Wouldn’t surprise me if he becomes the face of the franchise.

His shot mechanics look improved. In his college highlights, he had more of a catapult shooting motion where it seems like he’s flinging the ball to the rim. In this video, his shot looks more fluid and you can see the wrist flick and touch on his shot. If the Spurs can help Sochan become close to or even as good of a shooter as Kawhi/Dejounte, then Sochan will be a two-way star.

RJ is more of a 3/4 than a 2 similar to Jimmy butler and derozan. Playing him at the 2 next to Sochan/Randle/Mitch is a spacing and shooting disaster

Big fan of Jeremy Sochan. He moves really well at his size and could def see him being able to change speed and direction to get past defenders in the NBA. If he stayed one more year at LSU, he would def be higher up in the lottery. His role at LSU was limited this year since he was a freshman. I see him improving over time in a good situation.

True 1-5 defender, which is rarer; prime Draymond-level defense. Plus the attitude and effort are A++. He even shows a little Draymond-like playmaking. Would fit beautifully in NOLA as a small ball 5/Zion backup.

Taking Sochan so early at #9 in the draft may have been one of the worst mistakes the Spurs have made since drafting J Primo at 12, theres nothing that stands out about his game besides his defensive potential.
