The human brain is the most complex and intricately organised organ in the known universe.
It comprises approximately 86 billion neurons.
And, each neuron has thousands upon thousands of synaptic connections.
These produce electrical and chemical signals, giving rise to our thoughts, emotions, memories, and well as our most profound spiritual insights.
In this video, we will explore how our brain processes spiritual experiences by examining the neural underpinnings of prayer, meditation, and mystical experiences.
We will also look at how the latest neuroscientific research may explain the experience of Near Death Experiences (NDEs) while also giving us insight into the event of bodily death itself.
By drawing on the emerging academic field of neurotheology, we can explore the relationship between neuroscience and religious or spiritual experience.
One major focus of neurotheology is the investigation of specific brain regions and their role in religious experiences.
For example, studies have examined the role of the temporal lobe, which has been linked to intense religious experiences, altered states of consciousness, and mystical encounters.
Functional neuroimaging techniques, such as fMRI and PET scans, are used to observe brain activity when individuals engage in prayer, meditation, or other religious practices.
These studies have identified patterns of neural activity associated with feelings of spiritual connection and transcendence, shedding light on the neural correlates of religious and mystical experiences
.
Additionally, neurotheology explores how religious and spiritual practices may influence brain function and structure.
Researchers in neurotheology have investigated the impact of meditation, prayer, and other contemplative practices on the brain.
This has revealed how regular engagement with spiritual practices may lead to long-term changes in neural connectivity and function.
The field also delves into the neurological aspects of religious rituals, moral decision-making, and the perception of religious symbols and narratives.
Neurotheology offers a fascinating perspective on the interplay between the human brain and spirituality.

    • I had an existential crisis just last night. If God is just a manifestation of the mind where do we actually go when we die? I'm a firm believer in Einsteins theory of energy cannot be created or destroyed. Then I remembered that everything is a mirror and what exists inside also exists outside.🤣 I love my meditation practice it helps me to connect with spirit and loved ones, my guides, myself. Very valuable.

    • tbh ,I also have mild depression and adhd, i am going to start my own utube channel soon and these things come in between, i had trully fkd my body by eating junk and overthinking made things worse which triggered due to my break up or not, i m not sure, but yeah...things really went bad. Meaning , other than meditation, intense sadness as well could trigger your brain to become spiritual or understand reality better, yeah as much i can say they were the reason to open my eyes and see reality as it is, but they were not an accelerator, body physiology really do play a huge role in forming the mind, so things like meditation, psychoactive substances help in understanding the phenomena of consciousness better. Now I have started a better version of myself, first i have to come out of rut in order to be spiritual, as its really difficult to be enlightened and do nothing in life at the same time. Its a bit hysterical. I think when a competent person denounces this materialistic world , that shows that he has the capabilty to enjoy this life as well to denounce it too, obviously at a certain cost, its not like, a spiritual person can trade his life for a chicken just like that. This doesnt mean that we should be eating 1kg chickens each day. It means if there is this last choice of either chicken lives or me, than i think its ok to save ur life! Dont u think? Or we can counter argue that if the sense of self is gone than how can he differentiate between his and chicken's life and be called enlightened? TBH, there is a rare chance to be this enlightened, and thats why there are only a few in hundred or even thousands of years. It doesnt mean we should not try , instead try your best , it would still be a better life than being absolute mute towards spirituality. Therefore i could recc u to read more books. also for me, i think weed lead me into overthinking but later on it also helped me to understand reality better. Right now, i am not so into meditation, i tried but failed many times, becoz i have less control over my brain and i got to know i had sleep apnea which stopped oxygen reaching my brain, meaning my physiology fucked my progress a bit, but not much that i cant return to a healthy human physiology . I can. Thats why , i have to introduce some regular meditation in my life, and start taking some action and risk. Due to my extravagant ass i delayed serious diagnosis for almost 2 years, now when i finally shifted to a new city i am able to save a bit and went to a proper doctor and had sleep study test, which requires 13,000 rupees, its not like i cant afford it but avoided it becoz i want to take delhi-ladakh bike tours, or visit my first foreign country like Thailand first. I think now, after experiencing a relationship, its perceived beauty, its facades, and everything else i experienced i could say now i can start moving forwards without being a d**k to myself. Now i have more clarity in life, i think not becoz of self-help (as i am consuming a content like that for more than 8 yrs now and still i didnt improved much), but becoz of life tragedies+ psychoactive substances+ spiritual and scientific knowledge i was able to gain. I think it makes you a great being in all the aspects of life, not like we could then become the richest person in the world, but more like u could live a good decent life, u could be a millionare too, but not someone which is ready to leave the planet and run at its brink, but more like to rejuvenate it , as if this habit keeps on getting more strong then no matter how many planets we shift we will never be able to good life, and live that planet too. With more cognitive ability comes a better understanding of life through which we could exploit it and keep on living a life of kill or be killed, there would be no love in that that of life, we also see this in the current world as well Or live a life of true understanding without any biases. As that life would be filled with real love and love is something which makes life worth living. Beware, i do not mean romantic love as its not a true form of love, but the universal love, which a usual spiritual person feels. Anyone who says i have now really understood what reality of consciousness is and doesnt have any love in life than he might not have understood it well. i hope we all understood well.

  • in this picture on the tumbnail if we or other species had telepathy thats where we'd hear them arise from there and right above the ear. which we may end up think of them as our own. (anything above first dimension could hypothetically do this) since our thoughts are central outwards if you become aware of how thoughts arise. you should be able to tell if you're being influenced by a consciousness outside of your own and essentially protect yourself against it.

  • I am afraid, this age in time, that we no longer have control of our passive thoughts. Corporations have subliminally infected our minds with so much consumerism and product propaganda, that while we are on our own time, we constantly feel the desire to run to McDonald's for breakfast. To Starbucks for coffee. To gas station to get petrol. Then we become lost in worry about bills, taxes, does our loved ones have enough money to survive. To gain a perspective that our lives are indeed our own, is heartbreaking.

I have no words for these things I eat oysters and throw the pearls into the ocean without wondering how they got there. I move gold nuggets from the rock and that I sit on because they are uncomfortable, just to clear my space. I do not wonder what these things are. they've always been here. I have never spoken to anyone, I just make sounds immolating nature. I just am whatever it is that I am. This is not my observation of myself, this is the mind observing the "I am" like if it knew how to...

The Avatars Toroid is not cultivated properly , the light inside the worm hole begging to have complete takeover of the avatar, its heart arrogance becomes its anchored and the house of mirrors shows it what it wants, the avatars toroid is also pulled into the toroid worm hole of what I think is GaiA Matrix, the potential to fly the nest and become sovereign has Faild, Gaias Central channel of her Toroid recycle the avatar and its Toroid, I can see lives as stories, just flying into the central channel worm whole, like movies uncoiling into it, for me that Avatar was someone that had cultivated, but they failed, in massive amounts of non understanding, they had been given life trough Gaia Matrix but had not been able to become sovereign when their time to fly came. I think I do pretty good with this vivid memory being behind every part of thus divine comedy, and have a great sence if humor, I have lycid dreams a lot, and gave looked at it several times, what can I do, For now I practice, Zen, kriya, Zhan zhuang, neigong. And liminal lucid dreaming, trying to cultivate the toroid , and truly trying to understand Gaia Matrix. Would you have any advice on how to become sovereign, in the filaments.

  • In regard to that lady who had the mystical experience as a result of a stroke. It would be worth knowing if she also experienced insights after the experience, and what were they. I have had a complete transcendental experience where i no longer experienced through the body, as the body walked and went about it’s day I was completely motionless and just aware , not at all engaged. My perception had shifted from being the body mind organism to being beyond space and time, and all things were appearances within me and of me. Someone suggested I probably had a stroke or temporal lobe epilepsy, so I went to a psychiatrist and got a scan, no nothing to see here. That experience lasted about 3 hours and insights came after, and ideas I had were completely flipped 180 degrees, not as opinions but intuitive knowing

If it wasn't it would not be noticed at all. Like the experience of: "my state of awareness is significantly different than it was a moment ago." Instead of I can't distinguish any difference between one moment of awareness and the ones that follow. You decidedly know something significant that you didn't know (weren't aware that you knew) a moment ago.
