I have mixed feelings about everyone having voice chat cause I personally want voice chat but at the same time I'm a bit concerned about the toxic side of the roblox community knowing the type of stuff they'll be using voice chat for.
For everyone wondering about voicechat if you have those things verified and you do.not have it you will have to wait a bit because Roblox is sending it out in small groups

I think the best way is to let voice chat to be free ONLY if you verify your acc (email and or phone number) or even just a veteran badge so that raids and spammers can't keep making acts as easily)

I never liked voice chat. And I have been bashed on once for this. But I feel brave enough to say my opinion. Back then, voice chat could only be used by people with ACTUAL IDs. This meant that only a few people could really voice chat in roblox, making it only really useful for hangout games. And now look what roblox has done. They are allowing the toxic, younger accounts to have voice chat. Of course, it will be more useful to have voice chat, but again this now will have more toxicity in roblox. Ive dealt with the most toxic players and failed, lost many arguments, and gave up many good things. But once roblox allows voice chat for all, this will, be one of the darkest days in all of roblox. As of now I am starting to develop roblox games, and I assure you all, I will never, ever allow voice chat in my experiences. I even refuse to read the reply section, because all of those people are toxic people. I even assume every replyer in this comment are Slenders or fanboys. Edit: I did one peak into the reply section, and I apologize for calling you toxic if you weren’t toxic.
I agree, the platform will be even more toxic with some kids just blatantly screaming into the mic. Hopefully we'll be able to mute others and have a decent voice chat mod team.

i feel like its better if roblox verified our roblox id (which is different for everyone) to get voice chat, if its free then its okay, but as the generations change, more people cursing, and other stuff like that, it would be really concerning on what will people say to other people if voice chat is free
that's what they already do if i'm not mistaken. chase said in the video that it being "rolled out to everyone" isn't fully confirmed true yet, and chances are, knowing child safety concerns, i don't know if it's actually happening or ever will. i'm 20 and i only have voice chat options because i sent in id verification in my account and verified that im over the unripe age of... whatever age they allow, i think 13 if you have proof of age. that's the only way i got voice chat and it doesn't look like, for me, that the requirement has changed. that's just my thoughts, however.

I was quite skeptic about roblox's voicechat needing "that" much requirement because first of all, roblox is know to have shitty data security and i REFUSE to give a picture of my important IDs with sensitive information in them just to get a damn voice chat.

I have met a good amount of good people though that outshine the cringy ones We should be a lot more worried about the edgy mature people that use VC as a discord server, Or use it to just blast cringy songs. Voice chat verification is weird I just randomly got it yesterday for 0 reason at all, no verification or any steps taken to access it- it seems to be completely random wether you gain access to it or not

i know the info for voicechat is not checked because i used my hands for all photos it approved but did not stop loading
Maybe phone number/email + veteran badge in roblox+ 13+ age required. Still harsh enough to keep 18+ things out, keep trolls and raids out, keep dangerously loud sounds out. It would sms/email you the confirmation, (If you have both verified you can choose) If you clicked "yes" you would have voice chat.
I have been trying to do it and voice chat does not work because of the dumb verification and I can't contact support.
