  • The Marketing department were geniuses with putting these vehicles out in the wild for all to see...stock street tires no lift...impressive .

    • Thanks, brother! I was thinking the same. And I'm sure glad that at least someone else thought of that video. I'm not here to criticize or downplay the capabilities of those vehicles, but I can't help but think how sterile of an environment this is for showing the car's real life capabilities. I would suggest those Moab and Rubicon trail fans watch Russian videos of off roading. Again, this is not to say these cars wouldn't perform in the Russian environment or that their (Russian) cars will necessarily perform better. It's just the way most Americans set their criteria and expectations for evaluating this or that product's performance. Heck, this sort of reminded me of that guy performing evaluation of AK vs. AR arctic environment performance by having the rifles placed in a large cooler, filled with dry ice. Compare that to the Russian method of pouring water over them, then throwing them in deep snow, picking them up in a few hours and testing.

      @mardamek@mardamek3 жыл бұрын
    • @@mardamek maybe the Russians do it more real worldly, it costs no money to pour water over a rifle and then toss it in real deep snow then start testing dry ice cost money, Russians just take the more practical approach

    • @Festus Punky technically a crown vic is a truck with a car body lol. I'm also pretty sure he said he had a locker in the rear axle. I doubt any bronco sport owners owner would consider doing this regardless that it can. That being said it still can and that alone is pretty impressive.

      @TOFU2urDOOR@TOFU2urDOOR3 жыл бұрын
    • @@99unclebob Honestly, I hadn't even thought of the cost savings in using water vs dry ice. That's more of a bonus side effect. My point was more aimed towards the fact that dry ice will only achieve the temperature portion of the test, but most of the times Americans fail to realize that the coldness doesn't just happen in a sterile environment, that cold usually means snow, dirt, mud, etc. So, by concentrating on only one factor, the end product fails to be as robust in real life as the "flying color" test results (from testing against that one factor) would suggest. Oh, and your comment about Russians taking the more practical approach reminded me of the old joke. During a science summit a NASA scientist gives a presentation about their new invention, a pen that can write in space, in conditions with lack of gravity. He goes into details about the development process and the millions of dollars that went into development. Then he invites the Russian scientist to respond to his speech and share their inventions. So, he asks the Russians "I recon you guys have, if not the same, something similar to this to use in space, right?" And the Russian guy goes "nah, we just use a pencil".

If that thing could be optioned with a package like Sasquatch and had just a two inch lift via body spacers, crawl option with a low gear, and some 32's or 33's it would create a class of its own. • Sasquatch is for off roaders looking for trouble/obstacles. The Sport will take you anywhere you want to go. You might have to take a different line or a bypass but for someone who's an "explorer" vs "off roader" I think they would be happier with the Sport. • Great job on Hell's Gate.. Didn't think it would make it and figured the traction control would cut power like the Renegade has shown to do. Nice work Ford

  • Like many people I would love to have the two-door bronco with the big wheels ... but I know I won't use it to its full potential. After watching this video, I am truly surprised and delighted to see the bronco sport accomplish these feats. Definitely the one for me!

  • I am impressed with the performance, especially with stock tires and no mods. If this had better off road tires it would be a beast.

  • I have a Bronco Wildtrak on order. I'm also very impressed with the sport. A lot of small suv systems will start to overheat just basic rock crawling.

  • So it seems like we all have to order custom online to order meaning we can’t get them on the dealership lots in America? Or they are gonna be just making some on placing them in dealerships in configurations ? They are just gonna try and produce all the Reservations first ? Or we have to order online no one can just go buy one from a Dealership come April 2021 can someone explain this more in depth ?
