Forget the Baking Soda! The Most Effective and Robust Adhesive I Have Ever Seen

With super glue and baking soda, you can firmly adhere many objects. Carbonate is known to provide a very strong adhesion. But if you want the adhesion to be even stronger, it may make more sense to use the graphite. You can easily make this mixture at home. You can make a more robust repair using the graphite. Fix anything broken. Watch this video to learn this repair trick.

There's been times where I would have literally had to throw qeuipment out because small inexpensive parts broke and it was impossible to find replacements anywhere. This trick works wonders on a lot of things.

  • Excellent video! This is the first video I have seen where pencil lead is used with super glue. For when I need a very strong union I will use pencil lead. What if you want a very strong connection? Consider using a screen that overlaps the break on each side. Put some pencil lead on the screen and add a few drops of superglue. This keeps the patch smooth. Now you have a very strong connection. Cheers!

    @peterhoareartist@peterhoareartist7 ай бұрын

Probably not with the graphite/charcoal. NaHCO3 is known as cleaning powder, baking soda etc. and tends to produce CO2 gas - so it would make the glue more foamy - not what you want...

  • I love these videos with no audio to explain details and a thumbs up at the end. Powdered graphite is readily available at the hardware store so what's the deal here? An emergency fix when you have a pencil and can't run to the store? Maybe a onetime fix and you don't want to buy a bottle of graphite? And, as others have asked, what else was mixed with the graphite? A thumbs up shows that you achieved what you want, but more details please. Otherwise, I suspect all you achieved was to show YT how smart you are.

    • I need to know what he mixed with the graphite too or video is useless. a lot of videos do this, or leave the ingredient up for a second instead of just leaving it there until the next ingredient. It's so aggravating, I unsubscribed from a bunch of repair, cooking and craft videos. The only reasons I can think of why he used a pencil, it was an emergency repair and store was closed, or they live in a poor country where they can barely afford food so can't buy graphite powder. The way America is going, that will be us soon too.

I suspect that fraffite, because it has carbon, facilitates covalent chemical bonds and would be stronger because of the bonding chemistry and not because of the hardness of the graphite powder. Someone gave a tip about crushing fiberglass wool and it could be that I got a lot stronger even if I mixed it because the glass powder is very hard
