    • @@ProtoV33MK1 Ok, I looked it up and supposedly it's ~4mg of mercury per a CFL lamp. (Let's assume it's all vaporized.) US environmental limit for concentration in air (by OSHA - work safety and stuff) is .1mg/m³ This would mean it needs to spread into 40 cubic meters (e.g. a 4m×5m×2m room) to not exceed these limits So yeah… Most likely not dangerous. Still better to ventilate the room and try to not inhale too much when it's still concentrated, but it's not gonna harm you from happening once

I'd give it an external plain epoxy coat to cover any exposed bits of ferrite from the casting though.

  • Electro, you are the best... I just love how you handle the shocks like a pro. I am a noob when it comes to electronics, thus I shock a lot too, but mine is accidental, thus I do not catch mine on camera.. You on the other hand is educated enough to expect it, yet you do it for our entertainment purposes while teaching us... I just love this!!! It will not however change my luck for not getting shocked... Maybe push me a little more to try and also make it entertaining...😄😄😄

  • Heartiest congratulations Professor ‘Boom’ Mehdi!! I have been watching and learning so much from your videos since the dawn of Electroboom. Seeing the way your channel has evolved over these ten years has been very impressive to say the least. Here is to the next ten years (looking forward already to what they will bring) and ten million subscribers!! A thoroughly deserved milestone!!

  • I have build a similar one and i tested different diameters of the secondary coils and i came to to conclusion that a bigger diameter of the secondary coil will result in higher performance. Your's is quiet thin, if you would increase it just a littler bit you would get much higher Voltages and Sparks :)! Great Video btw!

Forever subscribed as addicted, of course ! Genius idea to include epoxy full filling and ferrites core then divided them to both increasing inductance and high voltage insulation!!! Many thanks!
