I was lucky to see some really excellent surfing in Santa Cruz California this past weekend. It was a surfing contest held by the Santa Cruz Scholastic Surf League and they hold contests periodically throughout the surfing season. The event was very professionally run and was a really well organized event. The surfers out there surfing are definitely talented and have the skills to rip it up.
