Disclaimer:
My videos are for entertainment purposes only. Some of my techniques might not be the "best" or safest, so when using any tool or machinery always read and understand safety/manufacturers guidelines first.
And Yes, I'm aware that wearing gloves while woodturning is considered an unsafe practice. The gloves I wear are tight-fitting and don’t have any loose threads. I wear them for the protection of my skin. This is a risk that I am willing to take, however I am still very conscious of the potential danger and I do not touch any spinning parts of the lathe. DO NOT copy my actions if you feel unsafe doing so.

  • What a magnificent lower piece of tree it looks mazing and has lots of character I like the nooks and crannies, the grain is cool and the different colours are awesome. What a fabulous pot you did first in the compilation. The second in the compilation the Corkscrew was fantastic the grain was lovely. When I saw the start of the 3rd in the compilation I thought WOW what an awesome size I did wonder what you was going to make but as I watched it progress I thought this piece is magnificent the grain and nooks and crannies are amazing. I loved the honey pot I watched that one. I liked the round vase. I really like the pumpkin you turned its awesome, you must of had of lot of mess to clean up after. The wood with rope marks in it was lovely I liked the grain and the markings and all the nooks and crannies. The vase is magnificent and unique. Love the burl bowl it really is unique and looks fantastic. Really loved the last big pot and lid it unique and magnificent. Amanda xx

  • Hi Robin and Carl! I do a lot of vacuum stabilizing with Cactus Juice here also. Good stuff Maynard! That would have fixed you right up for sure! I do lots of hybrid blanks with urethane resin, so stabilizing is even more critical. Good video! Always learn from your stuff! Looking forward to the next live one! I should have my new Harvey HW615 bandsaw soon!😉

  • I like them all...even the pumpkin. Ha! :-D But you know I'm a huge fan of your work...& a nudge to get you to further acceptance & trust of your Gift and talent so you may experience it. 👍🙏✌ They each have their own intrinsic beauty and uniqueness. I'd honestly be hard pressed to choose a favorite. The one that I think has the most 'Wow' factor is #3. That one should have a high price tag. The last one felt very reminiscent of Mid Century Modern, which I think is very cool. What kind of confused me was why you put something in it. It too should have a high price tag.
