Today, Native American population is 15 million, while the European population, in the Continents of America + Europe, is a staggering TWO BILLION! A shocking sad truth. 😔 In my humble opinion, it's about time to decolonize the Colonized lands, and return it to rightful owners Native American people. Notorious global cardinal crimes the Christian West has committed, and benefited a great deals, such as Slavery & Colonialism had long been over, why on earth is notorious Colonization still lingering on, may I ask? 😔

He wants to make a statement: Russia is a force to be reckoned with, and going against Russia will cost you blood. Ideally, he wants some incident where Ukrainians "attack" Russia, resulting in bloodshed, so he can come in as the saviour, and massacre the aggressors.

It’s just being used to provoke public sentiment. And they also mention Russian history in relation to Ukraine, well if anyone learns Russian history, it was established as a principality called “Kievan Rus” with Kiev as its capital. The reason why any leader lead their country to go to any war is just as simple as to expand territory or to defend their territory. Nothing to do with any sentimental things. The allied forces anyway, has already controlled more than half nations in this world and can’t take its eyes on this small region, or probably is worried that their enemy regain strength.

  • “Russia and Ukraine do have a shared ancestry. A union between Moscow and Kiev in the 17th century formed the base of the Russian Empire.” Hmmm… I think the shared ancestry comes from the Kievan Rus (879-1240) which was the ancestral state of the East Slavs: Russians, Ukrainians, and Belarusians. That’s when they developed the local Cyrillic alphabet and the local Eastern Orthodox Church - aka the unifying factors for the 3 nations. Claiming “a union between Moscow and Kiev in the 17th century” is incorrect… are you referring to the Russian annexation of parts of modern-day Ukraine (including Kiev) and Belarus from Poland in 1667/1686? Because that is incorrect… since Ukraine wasn’t a state at the time, a “union” would be like that between Scotland and England in 1707, two distinct political entities officially agreeing to become one. I see your staff started the Russian-Ukrainian relations timelines in 1654 which is when the Russian Empire made the Cossack Hetmanate (Zaporozhian Host) a protectorate, but that would be more of an annexation of a proto-Ukrainian entity not a “union between Moscow and Kiev.”

Then Tatars came and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth Occupation happened. Rus emerged again in 16th century as Russian Empire (still no Ukraine). It is only in 19th century the Austro-Hungarian Empire introduced the Project "Ukraine" telling the Russians on its territory that they are Ukrainians. • NATO did not and does force any country to join. Ukraine is an independent country. They can join NATO at their own will.

      @philiptran617@philiptran6172 жыл бұрын
    • @@philiptran617 It's not that simple. As an independent country, Ukraine has the right to apply to NATO, and it did apply. Furthermore, in 2008 President George W. Bush wanted Ukraine to be admitted as a member. But German chancellor Angela Merkel opposed Bush on this. Why? Because Ukraine did not meet some of the requirements for membership (such as strong anti-corruption policies) and because having Ukraine in NATO might have made Europe less secure, not more secure. Anyway, that was in 2008, and a lot has changed since then. Furthermore, my point was simply that the video does not say anything about NATO's eastward expansion since the 1990s, and knowledge of that development is necessary to understand the war.

To do that Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia and Finland should be maximally funded - lavishly funded - as a neutral buffer zone. This corridor must be an autonomous trade consortium within itself - neither NATO nor Russian controlled. Preferred trade options for intra-corridor trade would not preclude trading actively with both the EU and Russia. There was a dialogue mentioned in the memoires of the latter with his political opponent, in which he said that if you desire only semi-independence from Russia - you still need to scream you want total. Now they have different narration. Rebels are separatist, and borders should not be changed. They claim NATO is not the agressor yet they bombed Serbia and supported Albanians…USA/NATO is waging wars thousands of miles from home and call it war to protect their own country and freedom and when Russia is defending own interest literary at the door step, they call it aggression and imperialism.

Because Russia has noting to offer those countries, the same it did not have anything to offer its former hostages of the Warsaw block who all ran away from it as from a leprous and has nothing to offer Ukraine, who, unfortunately, has not managed to get away from it. • This is a tricky one. I mean Ukraine is collateral damage on one hand, but on the other, what Russia is doing, is no different from the US going into Latin America and setting up Banana Republics, or France going into Africa and propping up convenient regimes etc. When Iraq did this to Kuwait, the US could intervene swiftly. Here not so much so, but for various reasons that have nothing to do with military might (or lack of) in my opinion. I think this situation is too complex where nationhood ethics and perspectives between right and wrong are based upon self-interest, more so than other conflicts in recent years. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter and yet two wrongs don't make a right!
