Milan was the better team. But at 1:51, That’s a CLEAR Penalty and yellow card. Shocking decision from the Referee. Check the follow through the Milan defender steps on the Lecce player when he fail drown. Last time Milan drew 2-2 with Lecce, there was a clear goal scored by Lecce in the 96th minute but the Referee again called a foul which was not there.

its a really tough call overall and not so clear that you make it out to be.. the challenge was shoulder to shoulder (you can see it in better replay) and a harsh challenge, but anything more is up to debate. I mean we heard so much about the clear and obvious error… the ref saw it directly from behind and didnt give the pen.. its a 50/50 call but its not a COMPLETELY wrong call like for example the infamous inter elbow that wasnt given a red! ofc i would want a pen if it was against us, but everyone wants the 50/50 calls to go their way, and to be honest we had so many of those against us (Atalantas Penalty vs us comes to mind) that we deserve a bit of VAR „luck“ once in a while.
I appreciate your analysis but for me the clear decider is that the attacker had zero intention of playing the ball and went looking for the foul.

@@tschiefnrone honstly didn't look like a simple shoulder to shoulder. Theo literally charged in from behind and pushed with arm too. I'm not sure if anyone unless built like a tank can take such a charge. Lecce player just touched the ball so it's technically in his possession and only took 1 sec to protect the ball which is very common. Idk man i respect ur analysis but from my pov it's a clear foul. Added to that, the fact that this directly links to an action that leads to a goal for milan should've at least called for a var to check. Completely ignoring it seems a little baffling to me.

At first, he was forcing his shots, msybe because he was expected to carry the offense in the past. No need for that anyway, and you see he has adjusted, matured even more-so, which his assists are proof in the pudding. Hard to defend against a team that has multiple ways and players that can score on you. The offense was sharp & Leccee were on the back foot constantly.
I want him to remain at Milan.
He should come to the Premier League. Let's see if he can replicate that.

Pioli, after 30 matches of waiting, this is what we've been longing to witness - a true 4-2-3-1 formation in action with Pulisic and Chukuweze on the field. We should employ this setup more frequently to score three goals or more consistently. Our attacking play left their defense uncertain throughout the entire match, unsure of how to contain our threat. I still harbor some reservations about you, Pioli, but if given a skilled finisher with pace and dribbling abilities like Jonathan David, I believe you can achieve greater success with AC Milan. Furthermore, it's crucial not to sell Adli and the rest of the team now that they've familiarized themselves with each other's playing styles. In my view, incorporating two strikers with the aforementioned abilities and reinforcing the central defense should be our focus. The midfield should largely remain unchanged, with Loftus-Cheek dropping down to central midfield or defensive midfield where he belongs. Additionally, bringing back Brahim Diaz to substitute for Pulisic, both operating as attacking midfielders, could prove beneficial. I am confident that we will contend for major titles once again, striking fear into our opponents just as we did in the past. Forza Milan!
